Chapter 40 - Character Dive! 15.0

Hey hey hey! Welcome back to the gates of Enverdolmal! 

I hope as always that you all have been doing well, wherever and whenever this finds you in the world.

This new year has been very busy for me thus far, but at least it hasn't been "bad" so to speak. I try to stay as positive as possible in the face of adversity you know? 

That positive energy gives me the will and ability to continue to write and create more for you all.

I won't keep you long with my jabbering lol 

I hope the last chapter was satisfactory! I know it was a bit longer than usual, but that may be my style this year, I am not sure just yet. Either way, I hope you all continue to return for the next installment!

"Take me there. Part 1."

Character: Vlamaira Genie.

Species: Dwarfym.

Nation: Klyptorin, Suidelain. 

Age: 70 HLS 35 Dwarf years. 

Class: Trapper. Zoologist. Tinkerer.

Weapon: "Snippers" Long Gun Prototype.

-Dual Aether 8-Shot Hand Cannons. 

-Boot knife X2

Origin.

Vlamaira grew up mostly on her own, in and about Klyptorin. A Dwarven city is one of the safest places that a child could possibly grow up in in all of Enverdolmal. Being half Dwarf gave her room to wiggle as well when it came to her everyday life, as the Dwarfs would always make sure that she was fed, clothed, and had a place to sleep when the sun fell low. 

Vlamaira's time was spent mostly reading or studying and documenting local flora and fauna, her dream being to become one of the worlds greatest Zoologist and Trappers. Her father had never been around, and her mother had died of a strange illness while she was still in her teens. As luck would have it, Klyptorin did not believe in the idea of there being orphans. Although none of the Dwarfs took her in individually, she was never in need of anything nor would they let any ill come to her at anyone else's hands. 

Dwarfs have an amazing sense of kinship and community, and Vlamaira was well looked after up until she could rightfully fend for herself. 

As soon as she was allowed, and the change presented itself, she would leave the city behind and began her true journey. Her mission? 

To trap, study, and release any and every animal, beast, and monster type that she possibly could. 

She had learned to tinker from the Dwarfs around her, and she had utilized that skill set to both invent and patent her own style of hand cannon and later, a customized long-range gun that she would affectionately call her "Snippers Rifle."

Vlamaira's weapons have earned her a bit of fame. Unfortunately this would come with an equal amount of notoriety. 

Her rare pieces have been labeled "Mage Killers" due to the ammunition she uses being physical in nature (ballistic projectiles.) whereas the average gun is powered by and fires rounds made of pure Aether that is supplied by the operator of the weapon. Aetheral rounds can be nullified or deflected with a high enough skill in Magic. This is much harder to do with a small projectile as it is much harder to see coming or react to fact enough. 

Vlamaira has been searching for very specific types of woods and metals in order to complete her dream gun.

One that would inevitably change the world. 

Abilities:

-Living animal encyclopedia.

-Trapper/tracker skill set. 

-Expert hand-to-hand.

-Magnified vision -when wearing Sand Croc goggles. 

-Amplified strength, agility, and speed granted from her Sand Croc Cloak.

Character: Seth Sawhand.

Species: Dwarf.

Nation: Klyptorin, Suidelain. 

Age: 165 HLS 55 Dwarf years. 

Class: Brawler Mage. Speakeasy Keeper. 

Weapon:

-Aetheral Axe. 

-Enchanted Knuckle Dusters. 

Origin:

Seth was born and raised in Klyptorin. He knows intricately the ins and outs of both it's political and criminal worlds like the back of his brawl- callused hands. Seth may come off as blunt, rude, and rather forward, but he is highly educated and very well versed in both brawling and Mage arts. Being a Battle Mage who runs a Speakeasy has made for some rather interesting and entertaining interactions, as his clientele tend to be in the shadier side. 

Although he tends to stick to the morally light side, he has been known to dabble in the darker side of things when need be. Seth Sawhand's Speakeasy -The Saw Sage- has garnered quite the reputation over the half-century that it has been open. Many a collector of rare and valuable weapons have found their way to his door, and several folks who were looking to be rid of more dangerous things have sought him out as well. 

Seth's knowledge pool is vast and deep. This has made him nearly invaluable to the city of Klyptorin. No one really knows how he manages to obtain most of the information that he has retained. Some speculate that the very walls of the Saw Sage are in some way enchanted. Seth gained his nickname of 'Sawhand" at a young age when he both began and finished a bar fight with his families rival clan: Clan Bolderback. 

He took on 8 and fell 5 before they could best him. 

Their rivalry runs still to this day. 

Dewdren Sunbeam is on of his best and only friends.

It was in fact Dewdren who taught Seth how to pull from his internal Aether pool and utilize said Aether for combat spells, thus making him the Battle Mage he is today.

Before Dewdren, Seth would much rather just throw a good ole fashioned punch, or let his axe do the talking. 

Abilities:

-Expert hand-to-hand brawler. 

-Low Magics and Rune casting. 

-Can channel his Aether into his black-steel rod to utilize it as a Battle Axe. 

Stats:

Strength: 8/10.

Stamina: 6.5/10.

Agility: 6/10.

Aether: 6.5/10.

Dexterity: 7/10.

Resilience: 8.5/10.

Intellect: 8/10.

Resistance: High 6.5/10. Low 5.5/10.

Character: Dewdren Sunbeam.

Species: Dwarf.

Nation: Klyptorin, Suidelain.

Age: 150 HLS. 50 Dwarf years. 

Class: Cleric/ Mage/ Illusionist.

Weapon:

-Aetheral Bo staff. 

-Enchanted Rings of 5 Senses. 

Origin:

Originally a classically trained Cleric, his medical skill set was honed during his time with the Mage Court of Theodora. Dewdren served King Ketrel IV until his dying day, at which point her was offered his just severance dues and set on his way.

Dewdren has been one of the kinds Stewards, his most trusted in fact, and had not only known about but partook in the negotiations with the Skin-Walker Witches that would ultimately end in Theodora being forever cursed. Dewdren's loyalty and years of service to Theodora did not go unseen. He was banned from the city in secret as to not destroy his reputation, and the late King's son -Ketrel V- even gifted the Dwarf with a Theodoran Quarts core dagger as a parting gift. 

Since leaving Theodora he has traveled the world over, offering his Clerical services wherever they would be had. He studied Illusion arts along the way, and picked up several dozen Low Magic spells as well in order to both boost his own abilities and to make himself even more useful and valuable. 

Being able and willing to bend his morals when needed made him the perfect candidate to work for Seth Sawhand as his Second and Door Dwarf in the near-notorious establishment known as The Saw Sage.

-Low Magic Elemental.

-Low and High Magic Healing. 

-Can summon clones of himself. Up to 3 at once.

Strength: 6/10.

Stamina: 7.5/10.

Agility: 8/10.

Aether: 8.5/10.

Dexterity: 7.5/10.

Resilience: 6.5/10.

Intellect: 9/10.

Resistance: High: 9/10. Low: 8.5/10.

"Take me there. Part 1."

Character: Dark-robed Man.

Species: Elfym.

Nation: ????

Age: ????

Class: Warlock Illusionist.

Weapon:

-Duel knives with Black steel chains.

-Orc bone wand. 

Origin:

No one knows much if anything about this particular man and his mysterious companions. They are often referred to as "Sea Dogs" as they tend to keep primarily to the high seas, and are rarely see in places that are further inland. 

It has been theorized that they may be a rouge branch or a cult that is based off of the Nuckelavee demon that is sealed beneath Halfmann Island, but none can accurately confirm this, as none have purposefully gotten close enough to study or conversate with them and live to tell about it. Their presence had been a major topic of worry for the rulers of Suidelain, and none can seem to figure out what exactly they are after. 

A rather worrisome fact. 

This particular group has been rather active in Klyptorin and about the desert region/Kingdom that is Suidelain. Reports have come in suggesting that a similar group of "Men" have been spotted in and about the Crescent Coast Collective as well. 

They seem to be gathering "powerful artifacts." from the outside looking in, but this theory also seems to be directly refuted by their recent and most current search for a strange and rare piece of Leadwood, an object that is neither powerful nor an artifact so to speak. 

More information is yet to be gathered.

-High Magic: Illusions.

-Low Magic: Mental Assault 

-Low Magic: Mind Control.

-Summoning spells.

Strength: 6/10.

Dexterity: 8/10.

Resilience: 7/10.

Intellect: 8/10.

Resistance: High 8.5/10. Low 8/10.
