The room fell dead silent after Delaney's question and she wondered whether she said something wrong. The servants looked between her and Gabriel, but the latter had a blank expression on his face as he stared at Delaney. After some time, he turned to the servants and nodded at them, signalling them to leave so they did.
His eyes looked back at Delaney then he walked past her and went to find Merikh. Merikh's room was beside Delaney's and Gabriel just walked in without knocking. The room was empty so he went to the bathroom where he found Merikh spacing out, while sitting inside the tub. He didn't even notice there was someone else in the room. Gabriel had to knock on the door twice to snap back his attention to the present.
