Megha became a little more paranoid for the next couple of days before she slowly returned to her normal, this was a frightening experience to her and even had some struggles at sleeping alone.
She wondered why she became this cowardly all of sudden as she faced all sorts of pursuits and dangerous opponents and almost walked out from the door of hell a handful of times even when she got killed.
Megha showed great courage and fearlessness in the face of death, what happened to that heart and determination even now she didn't consider herself as someone who is afraid of death.
If she really was such a person then she wouldn't have actively put herself In the path of danger again and again. It's true that she had no choice and the opportunity was worth the risk.
But what truly matters is that this ghostly encounter really creeped her out. She never felt this unnerved in her life in fact she never believed in ghosts and demons or whatever of that nonsense.
Never thought she would one day come to fear something as silly as a ghost she is at times forced to hide in cemantry and haunted buildings to recuperate from fights.
Megha now wished again and again what she seen was some kind of hallucination like her teacher speculated not a real thing ' I could even okay if it was just a vivid disturbing nightmares like Vaani believed'
Megha was more than a little upset when something like that happened, after all she was rushing things up as she was literally racing against time, she had advanced a few steps whenever a turn appeared to win this damn race.
Something depressing happened in these few days. There are few people who notice her struggles keenly, namely her Uncle, Aunt, Father, teacher and Vaani. Everyone anonymously decided against her arduous practice.
She finds her situation extremely funny, all of them not a few months ago worried about her lack of interest in martial arts and urging her to take martial practice seriously.
Now they forbid her and admonish her, claiming she is continuously practicing or going to hurt herself or fearing her mental health would deteriorate. She was speechless and frustrated as she couldn't exactly explain to them the reason for her Persistent practices and because of their unreasonable stance.
As knowledgeable martial artists par Vaani she didn't for a second believe that they were ignorant of her special physique, not just her, every other special physique is said to produce a strange evil qi within.
This strange qi is capable of relieving mental and physical fatigue and reducing the amount of time one takes to recover, although she seems crazy but she was acting within her capability there was no way she was going to do something that might cripple her or jeopardize her potential and future.
Her training wasn't in any way said to be extreme; she was careful of choosing types of training methods and planned to slowly increase the training; it's not like the enemy would knock on their sect door the very next day.
Megha had to say she found Vaani's worried face cute but very annoying and she also now started to insist on doing some exorcism ritual out of the blue.
Megha didn't know whether she should laugh or cry at her funny faiths and reason, She believes " Even though I didn't believe there are ghosts or demons it wouldn't hurt to arrange a simple cleaning ritual... recently I heard about a priest in longevity city very famous....blah blah"
Megha struggles to convince the Persistent blonde who hell bent on arranging some nonsensical spiritual cleansing and weird stuff. The worst thing about this argument was it somehow reached her aunt Madhu who seems to take it seriously.
She really couldn't even get angry at them for their pestering as she could tell they were really worried about her well being ' Why did I have to react that way? I'm in a mess ' she wondered in her mind.
"Little cloud for this one time listen to aunt like a good girl will you? I really don't understand when did you get this stubborn " Madhu frowned at Megha " You weren't like this, used to be very sweet and obedient. I guess your father and uncle must have said some nonsense about such rituals right?"
That wasn't the end of it; her Uncle also went out of his way to offer her a chance to go outside the Dual Mystic plain to visit his friends. When Megha went to visit his house she showed her interest in increasing the number of shadow guards and capable people under her command.
She knows she could use some eyes and ears at least in Dual Mystic Plain or possibly the Entire Empire; this could become an immense help to her and also help her develop a hidden faction secretively and independently rather than relying on her uncle or father.
He planned to take her with him and introduce some of his people but Megha knows she can't be slacking in this period of time if she travels with her uncle she couldn't practice a few things others might consider dangerous and realize some of her plans.
She could only decline such a nice offer with gritted teeth. Things didn't end there. Her beloved father's plan of relaxation almost pushed her mentality to berserker state after they had dinner together he called her for some serious talk.
" Father, what do you mean by arrangements, didn't I tell you I'm perfectly alright, don't worry about me...I think it might be some nightmare don't stress yourself about it father take care of your health" she consoled him she wasn't in the state of hearing anymore of these ideas.
Her father chuckled lightly this was out of character for him to smile or laugh at her " I heard, you got little annoyed by your aunt and Vaani's constant pesterings I guess its true, your aunt even scold me on my face this evening when I visited them " *chuckle*
" I also think you have to relax a little too much. Training wasn't good for health " he said seriously.
" Too much training? Everyone trains daily, some of you guys train even harder than me. How come I'm the only one suddenly at fault here?"
" There, there! Little cloud no need to get angry with me " he raised a finger with light stern expression " You are extremely antisocial it's not right way to-"
"What antisocial? Father isn't close to big sisters Maya and Vaani; I visit aunt from time to time. There is nothing wrong with it If I don't like to run around the sect" there was a sad glint in his eyes as stared at his only daughter.
But he put a stern and dignified expression as he stared at her, who sighed and lowered her head " Father please forgive me, little cloud's actions were rude " Thuruva looked at her daughter then nodded.
" That is what called anti social behavior, you are going to be Sect Master this behavior wasn't something helpful to you or sect, you have to develop better personality, charisma and righteous heart"
" I heard about your quable with that little girl Sudar about couple of weeks back, didn't I ask you to act little nice when it comes to her, it shouldn't be that hard right even if you both don't get along don't agonize her " he saw her scowl clearly despite her head hanging down feeling helpless he could only go on not to agonize her further.
" I know you can understand her pain at least you had me and your uncle and aunt, but she was unfortunate enough only to have your grand uncle, You know that right? I thought you two could have grown up as sisters!"
Megha bit her lips not looking up, she didn't say anything to him anything else all she wanted was to return to her room and have a nice sleep but could only silently endure.
"I was planning to visit my friend on the divine pearl island. In about a week or so I'll let you spend some time there. I heard Kayal has been asking to meet you and Vaani for the last couple of years. How is that? .....it will be a nice change for you?" he noticed something about his daughter that seemed off in the middle of his talk.
' What happened to her? Was she excited or something....hmm!? it doesn't look like though..' he frowned in confusion the more he observed the more bewildered he got especially her expressionless face and dead fish eyes ' Her eyes.... does that demonic energy in her body acting up, I had this suspicion when she got sick that day too he gritted his teeth ' but I didn't collect every material to suppress that energy from erupting yet'
" Should I use that thing but things will turn bad if.. ' he took a few steps to check her pulse and his hand froze in the air.
" Why does father think I ever want to visit your friend's island?"
"Huh? " he paused. "What?"
" I asked 'What exactly made my dearest father to come to such a conclusion, that I was ever willing to Visit that friend of yours or his spawn for the ?" he flinched, Thuruva's face changed as he register the venom and sarcasm in Her voice he couldn't say he wasn't hurt by that tone.
' Ridiculous! Eager to meet me and Vaani? what kind of ridiculous notion is this, I don't believe what might have made my dear father to think that psychopath b**** innocent Megha had a fleeting thought as far as she knew Kayal often showed her crazy tendency.
It's just that no one keenly noticed this of her and her act of innocence is near perfect to anyone realize unless they suffered in her hand first hand.
"What did you say?" Thuruva asked his voice was low and an unquestionable authority and rising anger mixed in with " Is that how you should talk about your 'uncle' and his daughter? Was this how I raised you? Not giving proper respect to your elders especially someone deeply respected by your father "
His tone implied his rage and tinge of disappointment. He was hurt as he never expected his own daughter to take that tone ' What's wrong with her, Was she alright?'
He once again has concern about his daughter's health now that he thinks about it she never acted rudely in front of him he sums this all to the demonic qi affecting her mind firming his theory and seriousness of the situation not noticing change in Megha's expression.
He clearly remembered when she was born her body released an unknown cold energy. It was his grandma who recognised what it was and told him who was heartbroken and mourning on his wife's deathbed.
It was she who helped during childbirth. He believed this energy was the reason Madhi died shortly after giving birth; even the treasures and high level pills didn't help him stabilize her health.
' If only her cultivation and vitality were strong enough I could have taken out the resurrection pellet ' his eyes looked hollow.
"I suppose that's that" Megha said coldly as she nodded to herself.
"Huh?"
" My Expectation will only going to end up hurting me, Since the problem is in your heart Hehe, I know you aren't going to change what you were thinking anytime sooner "
"What are you talking about?"
"I refuse your arrangements " she didn't bother to explain, she looked at him with a cold but indifferent face but her tone was devoid of any emotions.
He couldn't stay calm for some reason and felt like lost something in that moment as he watched her walk away from him, there was no denying he was guilty.
Despite being extremely angry at his daughter's attitude he couldn't say anything else, he understood what she was talking about. He felt like he dealt a blow in his guts, his eyes prickled as he quickly walked out of the Villa.
Megha had tears streaming down her face, she felt endless anger she wanted to lashing out at him but knowing everything she felt that she still felt it's difficult torture her father with words.
' If you dare to bring that sadistic b**** here than I have no chance do some serious actions that I would hesitate in any other time'
She wasn't going to kill her or something but something more extreme, she hated Kayal to extremes as well. At first she wanted to prepare herself and play that demon to death. If things once again follow the same path then she wouldn't mind some risk.
Her agitated mind activated the jade slip in her chest and a warm energy radiated around her body.
