Vaani couldn't help but look at Megha more carefully, she was vexed and extremely worried with Megha's unpredictable behavior she was struggling to understand her recent actions but it's getting more and more erratic it is true so in the last week and few extra days.
To be honest Vaani has a mixed feeling about this as a whole, she was at lose to how she should proceed from here. Megha suddenly give over importance to training and it doesn't seem that simple to her as Megha showing them to be and was literally tire herself out with this everyday.
Vaani's concerned advice and suggestions all shotdown, and then she became annoyingly sneaky, Vaani only manage to find this in last week. Megha kept disappearing for more than couple of hours everyday when she asked her about it all she get was some elusive answers or change of the topics.
Vaani force herself from over thinking things or force Megha to answer all of this questions besides seeing her training diligently like this indeed make her relieved to a certain degree but there is something.... nagging her in the back of her mind but she couldn't put finger on it, this matter become mess.
Most important of them all was her sudden interest of going to Scroll Pavilion started to read some boring history books and weird stuffs; though it should be the most normal behavior of her from her recent puzzling activities or one of the regular thing she did since wake up but Vaani finds it too abnormal.
This somewhat creeped her out seeing Megha reading such a boring stuff for hours with expressionless face and following such a tight schedule like this was extremely unlike of her.
Megha almost had no time to hangout with her nowadays this made her extremely bitter, she couldn't figure out what to do? ' It was okay she can understand teenagers and their attitudes could said to be undergo some changes but this felt too much I, myself am a teenager okay why does I find this over the top ' It wasn't like it was wrong or something but the changes were too sudden she was entirely unprepared.
Vaani still hasn't understand where is this all come from, for as long as she remembered Megha wasn't interested in practice or studying some boring stuff daily and she almost never hide it from her or secretive with her.
'Since when did she start reading such with calm and concentrate face did she put such a face OH My God, am I seeing things yes that must be the case' Vaani thought to herself in daze this was how her reaction to this absurd situation when she followed her to the Pavilion.
Just yesterday it almost pushed her mentality into despair ' Damn it, I really can't believe this was happening right in front of me. Sigh I really thought she was pranking me or something now... I'm not very sure about this anymore' she was little dispirited.
Vaani still vividly remembered a certain incident few years back when Megha throw one of her greatest and amusing temper tantrum to this date, she refused to continue with her literature, culture and history classes she claimed this was too suffocating for her.
It was really like that at first she forced herself to believe Megha was trying to pull her leg or doing it to just annoying her despite a rational voice telling her otherwise and claimed her thinking was too naive she herself figured that much, if you think about it Megha wasn't the type to torture herself for some amusement.
OR waste her time in things like this she never did anything she wasn't comfortable with and never liked to put herself at disadvantage but at least there has to be some explanation for her to doing all this, it wasn't too much right everything has rational explanation.
It did kind of alarmed her when she started reading stuff instead reading fluffy romance stuff from her secret literary circle. Vanni had this strange feeling something off... or rather restlessness from the accident it made her uneasy she secretly went to meet up with Megha's master and expressed her concern and possiblity of her being possessed by some evil spirit.
If so then it was explaining lot but it was also more urgent if her guess was right then her Megha's life was at risk this was something she could never Willing to risk or compromise but to her surprise after couple of days of observing he directly denied such a thing was completely impossible he didn't find any trace of possession from her.
Moreover advice Vanni from entertaining such a line of thoughts " I know you have very deep care for her but all I'm asking you is give her some space, didn't I said she was fine and this wasn't right for us to disrupt her mentality or hurt her feelings alright? trust my judgement this once will you leave this matter to me "
"But Elder sh-" Vanni was interrupted by his stern voice.
"Do you really think I have no care for little Cloud's life, she was like a daughter to me you know? When I said she was fine I didn't come to the conclusion rashly I have my means to verify the situation she, wasn't possessed and I'm very sure of it.....this talk end here, Am I clear?" Lord Physician asked in Stren voice.
"Yes I understand " she nodded her head numbly.
"Good... and Vaani this talk and your doubt shouldn't leave this room, Don't ever try to speak this matter to her father, He might not like what he heard and over react in unexpected way " he solemnly said.
"Alright!" she quickly left, as her back facing him, she did not noticed the complicated look on his face, if she did Vanni might have misunderstood few things.
" Hey! What are you kept muttering and sighing for? " Vanni asked Megha in low voice this seems woken up Megha from her day dreaming.
Megha turned to look at her friend with her wide blinking eyes which had more innocence and confusion then believable to Vanni for some reason " Huh? What was that? "
"Hehe, Shouldn't that be my line?" Vaani frowned she glanced at her oh so innocent expression with suspicion.
"What line?" Megha reached out and touched Vaani's forehead " Big sister, Are you having high fever or something?" Vaani's face darkened little as soon as she heard the teasing in her concerned tone.
Vaani swatted away the delicate hand "Do you think you were funny? Hmm why shouldn't I bring you for an exorcism later? You know you were acting very unusual these days?" Vaani put on a expression of mock seriousness.
As she expected Megha's playful expression gone in the instant she glared at her " What was that? " she gritted out, her eyes looked like they would started to sprout flames immediately.
"Nothing, Nothing! " she returned the smilie back innocently as if to irritate Megha further.
" Hmph! " Megha snorted and turned her face away closing her eyes like she was entering meditation again.
* Shh shh* *Shh shh * Vaani made a susshing sound constantly seemed quitely enjoying the irritation on Megha's face soon a vein popped in her flawless forehead.
Vanni wasn't fazed in the least bit with this glare and smilingly asked " Are you waiting for your father or something? My O My! How interesting you should have told me before hand what should I do? Sigh! I'm too tired today....Shouldn't have competite with you today" She continues to put on a act lamentation " Sigh, I should have known better than this, you were too energetic and talented for the poor me these days... Tsk tsk how foolish of me!"
Megha finally couldn't endure the sarcasm she glared at Vanni frustratingly as if trying to imply something.
"What do you want, Were you trying to annoy me to death " Megha asked with irritation "If so then you are? Then I should say you are doing pretty good job Big Sister, but remember one thing I never take anything lying down always return things few folds after all I have some Ethics hehehe!"
Vaani raised her eyebrows " 'Little sis' you weren't angry with me were you? " seeing her irritated expression she stopped herself from her teasings " Did You know Amara suddenly disappeared about an week, where do you think he should have gone any idea? " Vanni casually talking about recent gossips she heard.
"Oh! He wasn't here, how did you know about this?" Megha decide to act along her expression gave nothing away Vanni pursed her lips secretly just now she was watching her carefully but couldn't find anything.
" Umm, When I went that way to take care of some business and accidently learn about this matter, When I asked an old servant disciple" Vanni offhandedly commented.
"Accidentally?" Megha scoffed as she raised her brows in mock surprise, 'Are you for real?' look clearly plastered on her face " Big sister to me this look like you were going out of your way to inquire about him.... is something matter " Megha put on a nonchalant expression and tried her best to not laugh at her panicked face she had to turn her face another direction.
Afraid she would impulsively look at Vanni, let her catching on to her teasing, such Megha tried her best to not exposing her intentions, amusement bubble in her chest as she barely able to control her laughter or her efforts would have ruined.
On the other hand Vanni now had what one would call shifty eyes, her face became little pale her face exposing her panicked expression she, try to say something but no words coming out of her mouth her eyes constantly gauging Megha's expression with caution.
Only when she confirmed that there is no hostility, Anger, Jealousy or Accusations did she felt Little relieved but Megha's next question knock the wind out of her " Might I ask what is this business you were talking about? " Vanni felt chilling when she noticed the suspicion from her tone.
" What else would I be doing there I'm talking to elder Seema, He invited me for relaxing for the Tea Party " There was a slight tremor in her voice.
" Tea Party? Hmm this is new, " Megha inquired in uninterested tone.
"Well, he was kind of asking for my help with something for quite some time, I can't kept ignoring him right? " Vanni choosed to lie in that instant keep her expression from breaking.
Before Megha could ask anything else she noticed her father got up and walking towards training ground with that Oldman and his student follow him closely behind.
Megha noticed the unquestionable curiosity in her father's impassive face, ' This seems my old man deliberately delayed things and give me a chance to Leave' Megha smile to herself ' Might have thought letting me off the hook today'
She know her father was cherish her so much but he always treated her stern and strict manner but inside her cold out look he was an warm, gentle and considerate person this was especially the case to her.
She wasn't ignorant and naive like the past, she know his fear and could understand it some extent from his perspective though she might not agree with him over everything, She admitted his love for her was indeed deep like ocean and high like a sky her father love was always been very exceptional.
This kind of things were routine in her early life, she was forced to trained basics with old man Soori and his student to which she found annoying and beneath her but when her father come here to check on her as it was often expected as he want to personally know how much her progressing in her basics.
Though it was true she had respect her father greatly and yearned for his love and recognition that doesn't mean she would put herself in constant torture like this everyday sword training thing and would silently choose to suffering it.
Megha back then didn't Have any interest in learning martial arts at all, she was more into living the life as she please like a princess or a lady but unfortunately for her such a wishes weren't possible.
She was the only child of the sect leader, so she inherited the position by right, to lead and govern the sect smoothly she had no chance but learn martial arts to a certain level her dream was impossible from the beginning she would have happily give it to the position to her little cousin Madhan the chubby rice bun.
But her talent was said to be one of the best in entire flowing light Empire or even in the all twelve Great Empires in the desolate area of blazing continent due to her father's persistent she cultivate an quasi-four star grade teachniqe Extreme Frost Palms of tundra to small achievement.
But his continuos plans to teach her other techniques didn't go well meet with more resistance from her side, especially the sword basics lesson under sword Master Soori for example: She despised the fact that she was forced to learn this from some rogue swordsman but she has no interest in learning such techniques this long she even look down this training as a whole.
She thought it was waste of her precious time, why should she a born genius have to learn basic from some rogue Martial artist when her father could teach her and she has the capacity to even learn star grade techniques if she want why is this suddenly like that.
When he came here he would preach her about some basic and his principles and ethics in life and some boring stories he should have known better than that this wouldn't make her learn something she doesn't wanted to.
" Little cloud how are you feeling if you are feeling tired you have my permission for taking leave today" a dignified voice bring her back to reality.
