Chapter 18 - Glitters, Dances and Surprised Father (Part 3)

Megha formally greeted him with bright smile " Little Cloud Greets Father "

His stern face turned little soft at his daughter's warm and bright smile and he couldn't help but smiled in return before switching back to his stren and impassive expression.

" If you want to talk to your father in private you only have to say so, why are you still waiting here? You can go back and take some rest I'll come and see you later, you don't have to tire yourself out like this" Thuruva admonished her little when he saw she wasn't fleeing like she usually does, there was evident concern in it like she might tire herself out.

" Father what were you saying? I'm looking forward to your lessons, besides father can come to my Villa whenever you want, does that means you wouldn't come to my place if I don't invite you every time I see you? Is that it? Then why are you putting things like that?" She put on a wounded and slightly upset expression for him to see.

How could she leave that easily when she want to retrieve something precious to her from her own father, however selfish and willful she was in her two lifes, Megha was even more of an sentimental in her heart.

Perhaps this was what stopped her from fully turned herself into vengeful and an evil, loathsome villain who, hate everything and everyone who harmed her in the previous life, When she finally understand she come back and have another chance in life, she didn't set out to settle score with them not yet.

While it's true Megha wasn't going to let go of anyone who plotted against her and ruined her dreams she doesn't want to set out for revenge immediately if she can. As her morality, righteousness, Goodness and some fancy stuff thaught by her cheapskate father wasn't completely thrown out of her mind and she had this sentimental values for some people who might deceived by the traitors she decided to little considerate towards them.

It was hard to forgive them but she was willing to give chances to those who deserved it, after all this was pale in comparison looking at the things they have done for sect and their sacrifice in their life. it's deeply engraved in her heart, couldn't bring herself to hurt them or their feelings.

Nevertheless she couldn't see herself suddenly turned into a Meglomaniac or worst a Mass Murderer for just revenge she more care about how to save her family and loved one from entangle with her problems.

Ahem, ahem.... It had to be said there are very few people she respect and admire and one of them was her mother who died while giving birth to her although she doesn't seen her mother or gotten chance to experience her love she heard lot about her from her aunt and father.

So when her father gave her the treasure sword to Megha accordingly to one of her mother's wish in her late teens though she didn't said this out loud she felt very emotional learning that and treasure the sword very much.

She always keep it with her in all kind of situation, she believed it was filling the hole in her heart in her toughest times, she felt her mother will be looking after her in some form and guide her.

Even after she step into grandmaster realm or at her peak a half step great grandmaster expert she still carried her mother's cheep sword, which could barely passed as a treasure weapon only used by martial arts Master and those below the sword cut in half in one of her fights and doesn't much of a use to but become an extra weight to carry , Megha didn't abandon it but wished she could have fixed it when she had the chances.

Thuruva reached out gently caressed her daughter's head, " Alright! hmm, why you both little girls show me how far you have been improved hmm? What else you have been learning under master Soori" He decisively called both of them for a spar to gauge their skill level.

Vaani stiffened little hearing the arrangements she has seen and personally experienced Megha's sword so Vanni naturally reluctant for such arrangement 'Hell no, absolutely not! ' More over there was an another important reason for her to not to go.

Thruva treated her like his eldest daughter as she was older than Megha and more skillful than Megha in their occasional spars in the past and had hoped Vaani would look after Megha.

She would be embarrassed if she lost in front of her Uncle/Foster Father figure the most important point is she was afraid of his reaction the most he can be strict some times ' What if he was dissapointed in me... what If he thought I was slacking off? I have to do something ' her mind raced.

Vaani was always acted like a personal body guard even though she wasn't one and being protective big sister for Megha, she often boast this to Thuruva and now little afraid things turned out like this ' May be he would really think she was slacking off or worst arrange some serious training session with experts on whim like he done with Megha' self doubts crept her mind. What would she do if he separate her from Megha, Vanni couldn't bear such a decision after all it was she who needed more training here.

Vaani tried to come up with some excuses, but Megha straight out refused to her father's suggestion the very next minute, "Haha, what? is that true? Okay I know Father shouldn't doubt it since The head disciple of master Soori often praise you very highly" Thruva commented with straight face as he glanced at him.

Master Soori couldn't help but glare at his disciple in annoyance, who now had an awkward look in his face avoiding both parties eyes uncomfortably, it was true he was often covered up for megha's laziness in training from Thuruva time to time, afraid their chance with the sect would be gone if the truth known, at that time his master didn't stop him either 'If you don't like it then say it already shouldn't this mean you tactically agreed with me?' he criticized his master in his heart.

' But sect leader you were so high and mighty, did you have to bring that up? Okay I admit what I did then was wrong you can simply punish me if you want to but don't turn this old man against me, my master was quite ruthless sometime ' he lamented in his heart but he didn't dare to look at his master or Sect Master.

" Could it be that you wish to spar with head disciple perhaps? if that so that is alright with me as well? " he asked in curious voice " But remember this first for your next spar, you had to agree with my arrangement is that alright with you?"

Megha couldnt help but stare at his father little closely, 'I wasn't wrong! this was really some sarcasm huh? Here I thought he was trying his best to become Saint statue or something how interesting!' Megha was really surprised her father this side on him, a mild expression and sense of humor.

Her eyes prickled a little as he understand she really never tried to understand him, all she did was blindly seeking his approval and affection so scared to even banter with him what was she doing in their time trying to slip away.

Megha sensed she would really cry if she thought something like this, she didn't trust herself in control her emotions as she cried often after she regressed ' Darn it, I definitely couldn't embarrass myself in front of my father ' she then cast a glance at nervous looking Vanni and her lips twitched she can clearly tell what he was trying to do.

Vaani never gone easy on her in one of their spar it was especially the case whenever her father was around Megha used to come up with all sort of excuses but they never worked recalling those days her face darkened little but that wasn't matter she was more skilled than Vaani and even Vaani was aware of it.

Megha once again intervened and saving Vaani from her plight, " Father, how about this, why don't you directly check my progress with your own hands, there is no need for father to go great length to test out my progress in basics right?" she smiled sweetly her tone also has tinge of sarcasm " Besides, big sister really isn't my match anymore"

Thuruva stunned there for a second, ' Did he heared it right? Wow! When did she become this bold and arrogant? ' he was very surprised by her action today, something like this never happenes.

Just now he came to realisation there was something definitely different about his daughter, if he remembered correctly he also felt like this when he went to check up on her last week but he chose to ignore it thinking he was tired from journey and over thinking things but now he had reasses and further test his thoughts.

' It doesn't seems arrogance to me either hmm, interesting! ' the more he look at her he was forced to doubt his judgement ' Since she personally asked me this I couldn't suppress my curiousity either let's see where her confidence come from' thinking of these things he, smiled at her.

"Alright, when you felt like you are ready come at me"

Megha narrowed her eyes at him then she proceed to stand in the proper stance held her sword tip almost touching ground then took a deep breath before sped towards him and swing her sword down with enough force perfectly adding up her momentum.

Thuruva deftly blocked it but he had a very surprised look on his face, and take a step to the side as he deflect the upward swing only for her to skillfully spin her body to redirect the force and slash at her father then coming with an accurate stab at his right hand wrist.

As they continue with their spar Thurava getting more and more astounded by Megha's skill he was struggling to control his strength to a bare minimum if this was continue like this he wasn't sure he could defend against her in this state.

it had to be said a grandmaster's understanding and physical power wasn't trifling he has gone through body strengthening process more then one time even if his power set to bare minimum it should be equalent to a peak stage martial artist.

Doesn't that means her daughter who was just barely at level three martial artist realm like her not only able to content against person who has nine levels above her but she had slight upper hand in this, it should be still alright if it was just that as categorize her as genuis and born with extraodinary strength but how should he explain his case that he was a grandmaster level expert and was pure swordsman to boot why was he being overpowered?

It wasn't only him but the other three people looked at the spar with an incredulous expression, especially Vaani who was wide eyed she couldn't understand at all what was happening she even doubted and debated to herself whether she was dreaming or not and convincing herself ' This must be all dream, yes a long convincing dream when I woke up I hope I can remembering everything'

Thuruva looked at her daughter like it was his first time seeing her, it wasn't that she was powerful but her precision, control and maneuvers reached high enough mastery he sighed to himself he couldn't continue to defend or he will be in trouble and was forced to attack end it quickly.

After a side step he swing his at her waist as if he going to cut her in half but Megha's retaliation surprised him once again. Her startled expression was very brief not stunned or scared like he expected helpless he continue with his attack.

Although from his poker face one couldn't tell what he was feeling but he become more and more astounded as the seconds passed by from their spar his eyes were focused on her unique skill she was deploying at this time he was sure she wasn't merely defending.

If that was the case then the match would have ended in few seconds after he started to go on the offence, the difference between their strength and speed would have tilted the balance to one side he should have won.

He have been put in a spot because he allowed her to attack first and he never planned an actual spar he was merely acted like test dummy but who know he was overwhelmed but the thing should have Changed at once as he started his offence but she was once again pulled rug under his foot proved him, how wrong his thoughts were.

Was her attacks considered stormy night thunder then her defense was even more exquisite a impenetrable shield of an immortal what else could it be if it wasn't a unranked sword defensive skill.

The skills are categorized into different levels and different categories by Martial Society at one point, They are unranked one, special rank skill, unique skills, taboo skills and star grade skills. In this star grade skills required certain level vital qi to practice or use it.

Thuruva easily see through rank of the skill she was using, and identify this as an unranked one, it can be practiced by anyone, which means it can be practiced by a normal martial arts wanna be, a rookie, martial arts master or even great grandmaster as it doesn't required much to practice but not everyone can create it.

As a grandmaster level expert he can create them or star level skills from his insights and sometimes some genius martial arts master capable of creating unranked skills but he never thought his daughter who wasn't even Martial Arts Master capable of such ingenious feat.

He was sure this wasn't from library as a sect leader and a sword fanatic he should have known such a technique beside he could deduce it's orgin as eight basic sword moments.

He tested her techniques little more and amazed at how she come up with such a technique ' Amazing to think she would use it like that my little cloud was a peerless genius ' he stopped his attacks and gestured for her to stop the spar as well there was no need to check anything anymore he couldn't help but secretly size up the old man Soori who also had expressionless face.

' Could it be his way of sword reached higher realm then me... if so then I misjudged his talent it wouldn't be shame to learn a thing or two from him hmm... yeah there is no need to put status between us when learning martial arts ' his thoughts come to pause as he notice the imperceptible smile on his daughter's face which puzzled him for briefing second.

'Don't tell me little cloud want me to admit defeat .... OH! ' his pupils constrict he pursed his lips stopping his expressionless from crumbling he returned examined his wooden sword few more times then bursting Into laughing " Hahahaha, excellent, very good as expected of my daughter! " he beamed.

Completely disregarding his image and everything else with his loud laugh and blooming grin which stretched from his ear to ear he patted his daughter's head few more times before carasing her head dotingly.

He then saluted Soori with more respect on his face " Thank you for your nurturing my daughter master Soori, I'm very thankful to your help " which stunned the master, disciple duo who hurriedly return the salute with a few more words he brought both girls to peach blossom estate in elated mood.

" Father I want glitters and mom's star grade technique can you give them to me" Megha asked this out of nowhere startling her father out of his happy thoughts.
