Chapter 12 - Warmth, Cause Of Death, Hope And Resolution

Megha Stared at the two people in front her with complicated emotions, She was happy and guilt at the same time it could be said she dragged them down with her bad luck and this two long disappear in her life like her father even from the which she find this very tormenting.

They were her one and only aunt Madhu and her little cousin who visited her once again to check up on her and give her blessing. Madhu was a younger sibling to her mother Madhi, who followed her sister's footsteps married into same family while her mother married to the current sect leader The Unwavering Sword Madhu married to his younger brother Taman who was an high ranking elder and sect's guardian.

Her aunt was the one who taken care of her after the demise of her mother it was during this time she fall In love with Taman and later gave birth to an chubby child whom they named Madhan, Megha was very fond of this little cousin like to dote and treated him like her own little brother.

She remembered vividly during her escape from her sect imprisonment, her family also targeted by the bunch of foreign martial artist and traitors when she succeed in break out from their formation with an wounded Vaani her uncle also manged to escape with his family when later her uncle come for her he was alone only assured her they were in safe place at least for the time being and prepared some arrangements for them if something happened to him.

Megha didn't dare to ask anything further, she doesn't want to put her aunt and cousin in the the fire and he didn't tell her either, she could feel how anxious he has been all this time he was with her so when he got killed trying to protecting her she was extremely guilty about her aunt and cousin situation she felt that if it's not for her they would have lived a luxurious life her little cousin would be young master Megha felt she really let them down.

Though she always thought of search for them she couldn't bring herself to search for them she had this nagging suspicion in the back of her mind that like her father both of them disappear from the world or taken as a hostage even though no one ever mentioned this or force her to surrender by using their life as a threat it further made her restless she was depressed of what to do for them.

There was indeed a small chance they got out of this mess alive living as well as they could but such a wishful thinking doesn't soothe her heart fully, she felt glad and despair at the same time while she was tormented by her guilt.

As time goes she was somewhat numb to this feeling she lived her counting each day in motivation to just live past one more day vainly hoping she would come across them one day and prove herself innocent of the blames this was something she buried deep in her heart and swear to never think about barge into their lives for her fragile sanity and for the sake of her survival and the thin chance of them being unharmed.

" What's with that look, don't you recognize your aunt any longer? " Madhu gently poked Megha on her forehead her tone turned stern "Shouldn't you greet your elder and little cousin where was your manners?"

"Tch, tch, it's seem I did a poor job of raising you " she jested her eyes were warm with gentleness as she smiling at Megha.

Megha throw herself at her aunt hugging her tightly " I Missed you, I-I really missed yo- *sob* sob* How have you been?" tears streaming down her chubby cousin looked at his big cousin with wonderment before shouting at her.

"Haha, big cousin is face very ugly when crying!" the chubby kid comment with childish glee "How could you cry like this you are big girl now an- *Ouch*" Megha's hand pinched his chubby cheeks stopped his ranting short then tried wrench himself out from her hands.

" IT'S HURT, MOMMYYY! big cousin is so hateful, Hmph! I'm not going to speak to you anymore " Madhan cried out with red eyes then looked at his mother with crying pitiful eyes.

"Megha!" his mother admonished her with a light slap on her hand.

" Ouch! This is too much but aunt, it was him who called me ugly first shouldn't you be on my side and punishing him" Megha argued back in childish whiny tone only to grabbed on her ear by Madhu.

"Auntieee! *ouch* ah it's hurt I'm begging you release my ears " she rubbed her ears tenderly looking resentfully at her aunt " How can be you become so heartless aunt..... alright alright I'll admit my mistake....you have changed aunt you aren't like this in the past. Give back my caring aunt, give her back"

"Huh? what did you say... is that right? " madhu reached out for Megha's ears who look frightened quickly dodged away.

"Ah! I surrender I said I'm yielding it's my birthday, That means you shouldn't make me cry today" she runaway from her aunt ignoring the cackling chubby little devil on the mattress.

"What are you an three year old, why did you pinch your little cousin then? Are not you asking to be punished by provoking him to cry, let's see if I don't spank you for this cheekiness"

Megha giggled as she playfully dodged her aunt "Arrrgh!" she pounced on her little cousin who panicked little.

"My precious little baby" She cooed coaxingly " Aren't you my chubby little rice bun, my cute cousin quickly help me to deal with your mommy's wrath quickly tell her to not pinch your big cousin " she pleaded to him with playful look in her face as she put her little cousin in front of her like a meat shield.

Madhan face was darkened "let go of me, let go of me " he struggled " Don't call me your rice bun anymore" " Huh! Then how should I call you MY CUTE RICE BUN?" Megha asked with amused face.

"ARGGH! don't call me that I'm my rice bun not yours, mommy pinch her little more *ouch*"

Megha cackling slipped away from now two pair of hands, she bite her cousin on his cheek lightly so he was furiously chasing her shouting "If you don't stop then you are bad girl! and I wouldn't talk to you anymore!"

"Hahahahahahah!"

Megha has a blissful expression as her head lying on her aunt's lap her eyes close her long red hair and Scalp gently stroked by her aunt's skill full fingers she feel like her mind exist in the unique state of sleep and awareness her thoughts and mind were this relax in her life.

Wasn't she longed for this for long time how did she ever thought this was childish and something to be ashamed of in her previous life. She remembered she was used to sleep on her aunt's lap hearing bed time stories before her teens, in this period of time she no longer seek joy in doing childish things even when she was alone with her aunt she was try to maintain her etiquette as her status often try to act like adult she was simply embarrassed to act like a child.

But now she doesn't care about such a lousy things anymore she could tell even her aunt seemed surprised by her change in her adult like attitude but didn't ask her anything instead she talked about what's going on with in the sect and her family and about Megha's father, her aunt like she remembered like to gossip time to time.

Megha simply acted as an ear for her aunt's gossips there are indeed somethings she find intriguing that's all why would she going to interest in these petty gossips otherwise. She was almost exposed herself seeing her closing eyes and looking little sleepy she even scolded her son who was sitting on Megha's foot hugging her knees in both hands with sullen face and bite her ferociously to which she didn't even twitch.

As a level three martial artist who undergone few rounds of body tempering this wasn't painful at all just little itch and few teeth marks on her skin even that would disappear in less than ten minutes she was too lazy to coax his anger not to mention it was she who provoked in the first place not to mention she them big time.

Her mind unwittingly went back to the few changes in this life, she was shocked and excited after hearing the detailed information from her aunt she was trying her best to suppress this strange excitement in her heart and few rather rebellious thought the kind that made one heart beat race.

' Is it possible for me change things? ' she thought to herself, as her heart beat once again speed up 'Could I really stand against such a powerful forces?' her mind buzzed.

She was keenly aware of what sort of opponents she would be facing if she decided to go against them but the funny thing was that even if she didn't want this she know this wasn't something solved by waiting out or trying to stay out of trouble as far as she know they are targeting her with some hidden motives but it wasn't just to get rid off her at least she was sure of this much.

It was only because they let her, she was able to escape on her various encounter with this mysterious dark organization anyway it doesn't matter wasn't she decapitated by a nobody and likely a low life thug arranged to scout her whereabouts.

She thought her ending was miserable not at all how she thought it was going to end like considering how she heroically went against a powerful organization for more than couple of decades she considered herself as a skilled fighter at one point with lot of near death experience but her luck seems used up after she escaped a group of five grandmaster level martial artist she choose to hide in the forest to recuperate and devise plan.

She never expected to bump into poison master who also trained thousand poison body she was poisoned her poison path inferior to other party she was quick witted enough have notice the anomaly and run back into forest and relaying on her back up plans she killed off two granmasters dettered others from chasing her further.

But they still didn't let her go, send local mercenarys and gangs as a scout to find her hideout, her situation turned worse if she want to remove the poison there was only three way for her first she had to use high level treasure medicine second get an antidote from the hands of poison master so left with no choice she choose to assassinate the poison master and get antidote before she lost all of her strength.

She thought they would use this as a chance to lay a trap for her but nothing like that happened and that fellow seemed more cunning predicted her plans he was simply slipped away somewhere or went back but her only hope was ruined.

She could only resort to the last and dangerous solution which was talking advantage of her poison affinity using this to endure and overcome the poison if she was successful her poison body cultivation upgrade to thousand poison body if not die.

Unlike normal person her affinity allow her some form immunity so she didn't have to be immobilizer or instant death the only boon was that it wasn't the first time experience and utilize this she had to go through such a crude method regardless she got another ten days of life.

Megha's condition was little worse then previous time she couldn't replenish her qi or heal her wound constantly her full attention was on over come the dangerous poison in her body she was forced to move into the forest by the scouts several time and as fate would have it at the crucial time she spotted a scout.

She tried her best to hide her presence the sudden hiccups caused her to become prey to the scout's blade and got beheaded she tried to stimulate the energy in the jade seal to kill him but her body was weak thus she died.

It wasn't possible to fight them openly they shouldn't know that she was somehow regressed if she was tried her best she is confident she will have a chance, and that is all to it. She doesn't dare to think she could win but save her family from dragged into this mess was possible and she could put up a better fight and die a heroic death.

She absolutely refuse to lead around the nose by this disgusting shadow dwellers. This means she had to start all of this as soon as possible.

For that happen she had to give her all couldn't laze around like she used to and strengthen her side it was impossible to win them with her power and schemes alone if she did her best managed to breakthrough to great-grandmaster level even then nothing going to be changed instead she was targeted by similar level lackeys ' Well at least this way I have a chance this was much better than my Previous life '

She was unwilling put some ridiculous blames become scapegoat, unwilling to chased down like a dog, even more unwilling to lose her family and friends and obediently waiting for her death.

'Let see how are you going to deal with me this time, I swear I'll come against with everything I got' she thought to herself with new found resolution burning in her heart.
