"Where have you been?" Isadora questioned with a cold voice.
Hearing this, Cedric didn't have any expression on his face and answered coldly. "Who are you to question where I went or what I do?"
"Really?" Isadora's voice dropped a couple of octaves, veins protruding from her forehead.
She was furious. Never in her dream did she expect her once childhood friend would turn on her in the face of a little promise.
Even though she knew what was going on behind the scene; she had little to no evidence to back up her claim. She pointed at Cedric, not knowing what to say.
Just as the two were ready to pounce on each other, a silhouette entered with a flustered face. At once, the two turned their heads and looked at the new arrival.
Behold, she was Kaida.
"W-What…." Kaida stuttered, her heart racing. 'Did they discover me….' Her heart skipped a beat.
Isadora and Cedric didn't utter a word as they continued to stare at her and this made her more nervous.
"If you have nothing to say…. I'll take my leave." She managed and wanted to take her leave when she heard Isadora's voice.
"Can you tell me where you're coming from?"
Hmm!
Kaida trembled as a bead of sweat drops from her forehead. She took a quick breath to calm her panicked heart as her brain thought of various reasonable responses.
Even though Isadora was not chosen as their leader, her presence in the group was nothing less than their leader not until the arrival of Pablo.
And Pablo was not more of a leader. After winning the fight and creating the guild, he left everyone and focused on his work, leaving everyone to do their things.
Just as Kaida was trying to come up with a reasonable explanation, the door creaked and another person entered. And at once, every eye turned to the new arrival.
The last of the group – Fabian.
"What's going on here?" Fabian asked casually.
Hearing Fabian's question, the three looked at each other before they left for their various offices one after the other as if they had all planned it.
Seeing this, Fabian rolled his eyes and looked at the three, and shook his head, not thinking about it.
This little episode was swept under the rug and Pablo was not aware of it.
The days continued and the Circuit Breaker continued with their rising fame. The previous episode seems to have never occurred and everyone resumed their daily routine.
As for Pablo, he was busy with the next upgrade of their robot. Moreover, he was watching more videos of fighters as they trained their robots.
All his previous fights were based on pre-set sequences that were built inside the robot core. Thus, it couldn't develop further.
Knock!
After the knock, Isadora entered the office and saw Pablo busy with the computer. Seeing this, she shook her head with a bittersweet smile on her face.
"Can I get a moment?" She asked.
"Sure" He responded without raising his head from the computer.
"We got an invite for a friendly match with the Phoenix Flame Guild."
[Ding]
[New Mission]
[Mission Objective; Defeat 10 guilds to spread your fame further.]
[Reward: Hidden]
[Penalty: Hidden]
Seeing this, Pablo squinted his brow for a moment and raised his head to look at Isadora.
"When is the fight?" He paused for a moment before he continued. "Is there any reward?"
"Yes," She nodded with a smile.
"Then what are you waiting for, let's get going." Pablo stood from his seat with a look of anticipation on his face.
The thought of losing to the opponent never appeared in his mind. Since he could defeat the four-armed man, is there any fighter robot that could compare to it.
Hell No.
Thus, the only thing waiting for them was winning.
************
In the distance, an old gym stood at the center of the street with grandeur. As one steps into the old building, the musty scent of aged wood and leather fills their nostrils.
The dim lighting casts an eerie glow across the interior, highlighting the grandeur of the boxing ring that sits in the center of the room. The ring is surrounded by rows of wooden seats, their faded burgundy cushions adding a touch of nostalgia to the atmosphere.
The ring itself is a sight to behold. Its square shape is defined by thick ropes that stretch from corner to corner, held in place by metal posts.
The mat, once a vibrant red, is now worn and faded from years of use. The white lettering of the sponsor's logo is barely visible in the center, but the unmistakable scent of sweat and blood still lingers.
The sound of gloves hitting punching bags and the shuffle of feet on the wooden floor echoes throughout the room, creating a symphony of sounds that only a boxing gym can produce.
In addition, the walls are adorned with posters of legendary Robot fighters and their iconic fights, a testament to the sport's rich history.
The air is thick with anticipation as the crowd begins to fill the seats, their murmurs and whispers creating a low hum of excitement
Even though this was going to be a friendly match, the rising fame of the Circuit Breaker was known to all and everyone wanted to know if they could still continue with their winning momentum.
Right to the side was the Phoenix Flame guild with their robot in Fiery Red.
The fiery red boxing robot towers over the humans, standing at an impressive height of over seven feet. Its body was a sleek, angular construction of metal and circuitry, designed to maximize speed and power.
Additionally, the robot's exterior is coated in a gleaming red finish, giving it an aggressive and intimidating appearance.
Moreover, the robot's arms were thick and muscular, made of powerful hydraulics that can deliver bone-crushing blows. Its fists are wrapped in thick, black boxing gloves, designed to absorb the impact of its punches and protect its metal hands from damage.
The robot's eyes are two glowing red orbs that seem to burn with an inner fire, giving the impression that it is alive and conscious.
Standing beside the fiery red robot was a young man with the controller. He looked at the audience with pride and anticipation. He couldn't wait to defeat the champion.
And behold, he did not have to wait for long as the champion entered the gym.
Looking at the clumsy ugly-looking robot, the audience cheers loudly, shaking the old gym to its core. Only gods know how long the gym had been this full.
Without further ado, Pablo controlled his robot into the ring. The leader of the Phoenix Flame looked at Pablo and his team with a knowing smile as the two robots faced each other.
Unknown to Pablo, he was about to receive the shock of his life. A lesson he would never forget.
