Chapter 58 - Chapter 59

***NoTe

I take Victor to see the Statue of Liberty. Even though I was born in North America it's my first time seeing the statue as well. It isn't all that special

There is a huge difference between the earth I'm from and the past one. It's not just the lack of mana. This place overall is happier and way less dangerous. If I compared this America to mine. Mine would be like a city that got overrun by nature. Most buildings are destroyed. The trees wrap around everything there are animals everywhere. Me and Rev got lucky we were at that orphanage. It was next to one of the last few towns that was in America. That's probably why Stitch found us so easily.

" Isn't beautiful." Victor says.

" I'm sure I could make it better" I say to him.

" Yes I'm sure you could. However, we aren't here for that. I am going to show you how to scam." Victor says.

" How are you going to sell the statue of Liberty?" I ask.

"France gave the U.S. the statue of Liberty as a gift. However, there is still someone who owns the statue. We just need to make a fake copy of the paper that allows them to own it. Then sell it to the first idiot who tries to buy it." Victor says and he was right. He had me start a rumor that it was being sold. We put up the fake paper that if real would be proof of ownership of the statue.

We sold it for millions of dollars. Of course when people found out it was fake they were enraged. We were long gone though already in another country. I ended up spending 2 years as Victor's student. Learning everything he could possibly teach. I also chose not to practice any martial arts at all. Not until I figured out the difference between Musashi, Lu Bu, and Alexander the great. I needed to know the difference between their strengths. It's hilarious how long it took me to figure it out. Its conviction.

Musashi is strong for himself. So he could prove that he is unrivaled under the heavens. Lu Bu is strong for his general. So he could win wars and keep living. Alexander is strong for his people. He has people to lead so he has no choice but to be strong. I lost to Joker because of my lack of conviction. I didn't have enough hate for my own weakness. I have to be the best no matter the cost.

"NoTe will you be leaving soon?" Victor asks.

" Yes I am, it is time I went back to my home." I say to him.

" Well I hope you use what I've taught you. However, I must say thank you. For the freedom and friendship you've given me these past 2 years."

" The honor is all mine Victor. You've shown me new ways to win. New ways to be strong." I say to him while leaving the time chains.

" You were in there for quite a while this time NoTe. Did you enjoy your time?" Legion asks.

" Yes I did. I've learned a lot of new things. " I say to him.

" That is good sir. Will you be going back?" Legion asks.

" I don't have to go back anymore?" I say to him, confused.

" No you don't. Your reaper body has fully assimilated." Legion says.

" I'll still be going back. I have many people I still want to meet." I say to him.

"Okay I'll start the time chains back up." Legion says. After I enter the time chains. I met many people. Leonardo da Vinci, Julius Caesar, Genghis Khan, William Shakespeare, Napoleon Bonaparte, Confucius, even Grigori Rasputin.

I met and learned from so many people I lost count. I ended up getting lost in the time chains. Which Legion warned me was extremely dangerous. So now I have no idea where or when I am. Currently I'm not in a specific area. There are trees and mountains all around me. It's beautiful and vibrant to be honest.

"You smell weird. I don't think you're supposed to be here." A man says from behind me. I jumped back immediately, remembering what Legion told me. " People won't be able to see you unless you let them. If they can see you anyway like how Musashi could then they are strong. But at any point if someone recognizes that you aren't supposed to be there. Run immediately. They are someone that is beyond the abilities of time and space." Legion said.

See that wasn't what made me fearful though. It was because I could recognize the man behind me as easily as knowing my left from right. The golden hair and eyes. The staff with an infinite length. It's the monkey king. An extremely dangerous man, someone who could rival Buddha. Could I beat him?

I must've let my excitement show though because as soon as the thought passed my mind he struck me. The hits sent me flying through a couple mountains. I get up and try to unsheathe my sword but he's already right behind me.

"Woah you're still awake after that. I'm surprised." Wukong says.

"If it's just pain then that won't affect me." I say to him, I can keep a straight face but he definitely broke a few ribs. I can see mana radiating off him. Which is good, it means I can start using normal mana again. His mana looks different though. Why does it look so pure? It's not god mana. It's just a more pure version of normal mana.

"This time period must be when mana was first vitalized on earth. I have to start absorbing as much mana as possible.

"Sorry, I can't allow you to build any strength." Wukong says after striking me again. This time though I drop in my shadows to heal. That doesn't stop him though. Before my shadow fully closes he reaches his hand in and forces it to stay open. I've never fought anyone this fast before.

" Everyone force him out of our home" I say to the Forgotten.

" Yes sir" They all say.

I leave the shadows. I can't beat him not yet. Wait why is he attacking me anyway. Does he think I'm a threat to his home because he's never seen me. Then all I have to do is calm him down.

He finally gets forced out of my shadow. Uh oh he looks pissed. That would make sense though. Going in my shadows like that probably felt like getting hit with 10 different drugs. I have full control over time and space in my shadows. I could change up from down and left from right if I wanted to. I can feel bloodlust start to leak from him.

"Wait, I'm not here to start a fight. I'm from the future, I've just gotten lost in time." I say to him

"Ah why didn't you say that from the start. My apologies for attacking you, the humans around here usually aren't friendly." Wukong says with a smile.

It's crazy how fast his mood changed. I'll have to keep that in mind from now on.
