School is even more boring the second time. I just got my degree. Now I gotta start all over.
I also gotta get a new job quickly. I can't move to a place without proof of income. It's a dumb ass rule.
All throughout class I was applying to places. Didn't even really look at the jobs. I'll take anything that won't cause me to drop out.
As it's a Tuesday morning most managers are working. By working I mean in their offices looking at social media, watching a movie. Only a couple are actually working.
A few message me through email. Immediate denial. I'm not too broken up about it. I'll find something.
Lunch comes around and I brighten up a bit. I get my food and again sit on Ash's lap. It is just too comfortable. Plus he gets pretty happy too. I'm still glued to my phone passively listening to the three.
Jack nugged my back,"Talking to the wedding planner."
I finally looked up from my phone. "I wish. Looking for a new job. Quit my old one."
My phone buzzed and I looked. Another refusal. I sigh. Really not going well.
Ash hugged me. "Why don't you just work at my Dad's company? You know you'll get paid and treated a lot better. You won't even have to do a whole lot. Just like secretary work or something."
Oh yeah. He offered me this in my past life as well. Though I thought it was just a handout. That it made me more pathetic than I am.
Now I think he genuinely wants to help me. Secretary work isn't as easy as he's playing it out to be though. I've done it before.
Managing a constantly changing schedule. Answer phones that never stop. Getting coffee that is what they asked for, but never what they want. Being sexually harassed while signing people in. Being expected to know everything, while being treated like an idiot.
All in all. Yeah not as bad as some of my other jobs. Though only people who are idiots or ignorant think a secretary's job is easy. A job in customer service will never be easy.
Though no way am I gonna turn down an offer like this in this life. First of all Ash's parents love me to death. If I work for his Dad my life might become very easy. Plus I'll know more about Ash's family business.
No one knows more about what goes on than the secretary. The secretary and the security guard. We know shit about everyone. Even you Jerry. We know what you did.
I put my phone down and hugged Ash back. "Okay. Let's do that. No good jobs out there anyway."
I looked up at a smiling Ash. He seemed a bit relieved that I agreed. I usually declined his help. I used to decline all his kind and genuine actions. I'm not going to decline anything anymore.
Ash pulled out his phone. "Okay. I'll let my Dad know what's going on. I'm sure he'll be happy to give you a decent job."
Ash was very excited for some reason. I held back saying my last job was a decent job. It really wasn't. Ash is my stalker, there is no way he doesn't know.
Well if he's taking care of that then I only have two real things I need to focus on right now. Getting in his pants and finalizing my design for the competition.
I can work on the design tonight. So right now I just need to work on how to get into his pants. I think I am kinda making progress. I need something more real than words though.
Ash doesn't like flowers. He doesn't like poetry. He likes video games. He used to love card games. What happened to that?
Gosh what happened to my collection. I used to have my own little collection after all.
I can't sing or play an instrument. I sure as hell try at one point. Did not go well.
Oh a scavenger hunt. He might like that. My eyes focused on a poster hanging on the cafeteria wall.
My eyes sparkled as an idea came together. The homecoming game. It's hell of a classic. A scavenger hunt put together to ask him to homecoming. That should be enough proof for anyone.
