Chapter 21 - World News

"Coming too you from the east coast of the US. An employee of the video game company Starry sky technology's has disappeared, and with no word from the company many speculate somthing darker may be going on behind the scenes."

"Thank you Tom, in other news on the company, their game Erebus Online is too be launched today at 2:00 here on the east coast. The hype around the game continues to rise as more and more is revealed by the beta testers, while the company stays silent."

"Now onto daily news…"

1:45 pm, Earth, USA, Southern New Jersey, Rio Grande

A man sat by his computer, the setup for his Star Transmitter VR device was simple, list your height, weight, and… Max liftable weight?

Whatever is probably has some use.

while this may be true for an actual VR device the Star Transmitter was not a VR device, as it actually transmitted their soul in the body into the another world!

As the clock neared 2:00pm, the brawlic black man who's muscles bulged fourth from his tank top put his device on his head and layed on his bed.

Demetre was a professional full-armor-combat fighter who had been injured recently, his ribs cracked and his shoulder broken. But with Erebus Online coming out he could still hopefully practice, or so he hoped.

And as the clock struck 2:00, the star transmitter whirred to life and Demetre felt his consciousness fade, similar to passing out.

Moments later, he awoke as a mote of light, in what could only be described as a grand marble temple with dark mohogany doors at the end.

The doors open to reveal a girl and boy, both in their mid teens. The boys hair a thick silver that under the affect of metamerism, it's subtle undertones shifted between an aurora of greens and blues. Two wolf ears adorned their head with a bristly tail to match. The only thing throwing off the godly vibes of this young man where the sweat pants he was wearing.

Next too him a relatively shorter girl standing at 5'6'', her hair a deep and reflective midnight purple, with matching fox ears and tail. a

Before Demetre could figure out his situation, the kinda god like man spoke, "Hello… mortal, we have need of your assistance. We need you to go down to the surface world and spread our doctrine!"

The two being before Demetre, where Clay and Nirin in divinity class. The assignment was to drag a human soul in the process of changing worlds and getting them to kickstart your religion, the teacher had promised a free pass to the temple of divinity too anyone able to do it first try, everyone else would've have to pay a booksworth in concepts, and theorys to the library.

Demetre thinking this was a part of the game, a hidden quest or just and elaborate tutorial went along with what he thought was a scripted event. "Sure, but what's your doctrine?"

Freezing at that very moment, both Nirin and Clay hadn't thought of Jack all for their doctrine.

Clay ready to pull something out of his ass was stopped by Nirin who spoke up.

"We are gods of creation and destruction, our doctrine like the world in it's fine details are ever changing. But for now you may note this.

Death and life are two sides of the same coin, a cycle of chaotic Harmony where the absence of one means the other can't exist, in this nature all thing are equal in some way or another, people, objects, monsters, gods, and throughout their lives they accrue universal Aura or Karma as some call it.

This karma gained by one's actions are what sets a being apart from others."

Jumping in after Nirin so that they both seemed equal in authority, as the teacher had told them, Clay gave his two cents.

"Creation and destruction are the same concept, and merely different views on the events of the world. When one split a rock in two, they have created two rocks; likewise, when one makes paper, they destroy its previous identity as a tree in everything but time and memory.

One might even notice that, all acts of creation or destruction are merely transformations from one identity to another or multiple others." Finished with his preaching, Clay restated the man objective.

"Now go forth with our blessing and gather those around you to forge towards a forest of great size and build a temple for us."

And with their conversation over, Demetre received a quest from the two.

Disapproval of a myriad of gods.

A soon as he was done reading it he was transported out of the temple, and to the world of Erebus.

Seeing that the man had left, both Nirin and Clay let out a comically large sigh of relief, before walking out of the temple and back into the lecture hall.

A large group of students, all in various clothes that they wanted to be their godly attire, stood outside the temple waiting their turn to enter the temple with a random human to convince for their assignments.

Weather the duo had succeeded would be soon determined by the humans actions. In the mean time the bell of the Acedemy rang and the two headed off to yet another cafeteria.

This time they where on approach too a smaller cafeteria that's mascot was something other then one of the traditional cardinal directions.

The hall leading here was bustling even more so then phoenix cafeteria's. Students chatter centered around every first years current assignment, Researching your soon to be divinity… if they didn't screw the whole thing up.

Entering the Cafeteria of Up, significant to the Space whale, Nirin pointed at a finite r Fox girl at the center of a chanting crowd.
