Chapter 12 - A backdoor?

"You should have told her the situation there," Ryan let out a sigh. He was kind of tired over his brother haughtiness.

They were in the staff room of the hospital. While Roff was looking at his smart phone as he sat on the couch, Ryan was wearing his dress after taking a bath since he was, too, busy to go back home to wash up.

There were dark bags under his eyes, he hasn't slept for two days because of the operations he has to keep doing.

Roff chuckled, "Why do you care for her so much?" he looked irritated since from the moment he first met her till now, he has never found himself comfortable from inside. He always felt somehow irritated more than he usually remains. From his perspective, he completely disliked Tia.

He frowned over his brother who shook his head slightly in disappointment while wearing his shirt, "Ryan, don't be childish".

He replied and parted his lips as a deep sigh escaped through it.

It was bothersome to see his brother take someone else side and keep remarking him for being childish. "Am I? huh… I am kind enough to let her live as Leigh, she doesn't deserve it. If not for gramps, she would've been inside a prison".

Ryan pursed his lips, seeing his brother so irritated for the first time he really tried to think what was so bad about the fake Leigh that she was being hated to this extent, but he found nothing and rather smiled while thinking about her.

"Hey, why are you smiling and what are you thinking?" Roff hot headedly got up and slightly shoved his brother shoulder.

Ryan held Roff's shoulder and with a grin replied, "You were going to break your engagement from the real Leigh anyways, why not just break it with her now… maybe after doing that, you will find her less troublesome".

Roff pouted, "Not that easily," his eyes lifted up as he looked at his older brother, an evil spark glistened inside his dark sexy eyes, "Since she is going to live someone else life, she should pay for it, too. I will break up with her officially after finding clues about those terrorists. And you know what, we need this engagement to keep an eye on her. Who knows what's really going inside her head. Once a criminal, always a criminal".

Ryan let out a tired sigh and slapped Roff's shoulder, "Stop saying such thing. She is already inside a weird house surrounded by people who only knows how to hate her, what worse can happen to her?".

"Really I think you care too much for her," with that leaving his lips, he walked out of the room in rage.

Whereas, Ryan shook his head once again in disappointment, "That kid… I wonder what is going inside his head now. I just wish he doesn't do something that he has to regret later". He muttered.

"Mother, where is Leigh?" Lily came running to the hall room where her mother was sitting and calming herself with deep breaths.

Mrs. Filin stood up slowly, her calm face now creased over her eldest daughter loss of composure. "Where is your manner, Lily?" she frowned.

Lily swallowed as she realized that she has lost her composure and manners in front of her mother who despised this kind of behaviour the most. She stood properly and fixed her shirt slightly, "Sorry mother, I just heard that Leigh was back so I came to see her".

Mrs. Filin brows creased deeply, she crossed her arms elegantly and clicked her tongue, "You are well aware of the importance of time, right".

Lily nodded awkwardly.

"Then do you not know how karma will pay you back for wasting your time over such useless thing. Lily, pay attention to your work or else how will you succeed me and your father". She turned on emotionally as she talked feeling anxious.

Her eldest daughter who was full of sweats got drawn in her thoughts and bit her lips as she nodded reluctantly, "You are right, mother".

"Then go back and get to work, don't waste such precious time. We also need you to get your work done so that you can meet your suitors in time," Mrs. Filin nodded, gesturing her to leave whereas Lily who was standing properly with her hand held together in front nodded bitterly with her averted gaze.

She wanted to ask where was Leigh but knowing well that her mother was not going to reply if she didn't reply at the very first moment, she gave up.

She nodded her head with respect that didn't came from her heart and walked out from the back door.

Over that, Mrs. Filin frowned, "Why did she has to leave through that way?"

She was worried that Lily would meet Leigh who just left a moment earlier through the back door.

'Why is she taking me out through a different door than from where I came earlier?' Leigh found the situation weird as she followed the woman who was asked to escort her out.

She looked around and in front there was a small door, it appeared to be the back door of the mansion that was used seldomly.

While she walked out through the door, someone called her name from behind, "Leigh!"

She turned back. After more than a week of her stay in the hospital, she got finally used to the name 'Leigh'.

In front of her was a woman that appeared in her late twenties. She looked like a serious kind of person who had no interest other than her work.

Wearing a formal outfit, she was full of sweats and her eyes seemed pained over something.

Leigh remembered from the picture Ryan has showed her. she was her oldest sister. Her long hair in the picture was hid because it was made into a bun and she was wearing a spectacle, covering her beautiful eyes.

Leigh slightly nodded in nervousness and her eyes widened.
