Chapter 5 - Not complete.

The more Rosey tried to understand her surroundings, the more lost and disoriented she felt.

Despite the disorienting sensation and confusion, she knew that something wasn't right. With what little strength remained in her body, she forced her eyelids open.

The bright light that flooded her vision caused her to squint and shield her eyes. As they adjusted to the sudden change, she could finally see her surroundings.

What Rosey saw only added to her confusion, for she had never seen a place like this before.

As she attempted to rise from the unfamiliar material beneath her, she did so hastily, causing a sudden onset of dizziness and heaviness in her head.

This sensation was overwhelming, causing Rosey to lose her balance and fall back onto the material.

Recognizing the need to proceed with caution, Rosey slowly lowered herself back down, allowing her body to adjust to the unfamiliar surroundings.

Suddenly, Rosey felt the touch of a hand on her arm, and her immediate reaction was to panic. She let out a scream and attempted to shake off the hand that was touching her.

As her vision cleared, she could see the outline of a person sitting beside her. 'Have I finally been sold?' she thought to herself, still uncertain of her whereabouts and circumstances.

Slowly and cautiously, Rosey tilted her head backward to get a better look at the person who had touched her. As her eyes focused, she could see the features of the individual who had touched her.

However, what she saw before her was shocking and unexpected. She couldn't believe her eyes, and her heart began to race with fear and disbelief.

To her utter shock, the individual standing before her was the same strange man she had met in the alleyway.

His appearance was even more bizarre than she had remembered - with strange, golden clothes that resembled a pigeon, and a strange glow emanating from his body.

As Rosey took in his appearance, her thoughts raced as she tried to make sense of the situation. What was she oing to do now? The fear and uncertainty weighed heavily on her as she contemplated her next move.

Rosey made a desperate attempt to pry her fingers out of his tight grip and hold in her scream as she didn't was to anger the man, and to her surprise, he immediately released his hold on her.

As Rosey pulled away, she felt a sense of relief and freedom, but it was short-lived as she realized that she was still in a precarious situation. She needed to find a way out of this predicament before it was too late.

Theovin's gaze was fixated on her every movement, almost as if he were in a trance.

It was unnerving for Rosey. Despite her discomfort, she remained still and tried to assess the situation. The silence between them was heavy, and she could feel the tension building with each passing moment

The way she fluttered her eyelashes and darted her eyes around captivated him. He could watch her every move for hours without getting tired, but the feeling of her prying away from his grasp unnerved him.

Rosey's eyes snapped back up to stare at the man in front of her.

As she looked directly into his eyes, she felt a surge of intimidation. His piercing stare made her feel like he could see right through her, as if he knew every hidden thought and emotion she had ever had.

It was like looking into the eyes of a predator, and she felt a wave of unease wash over her.

She tried to maintain her composure, but she couldn't shake the feeling of vulnerability that his gaze brought out in her.

Her body felt weak, and she felt squeamish underneath his unwavering stare.

Theovin realized he needed to break the intense silence and speak to her.

He couldn't imagine the thoughts going through her mind, especially since he found her beside a man who had been fatally stabbed, appearing as if she were the culprit.

As Theovin attempted to get an answer from the woman, he was interrupted by a low grumbling sound coming from his mate, who was clearly hungry.

'Oh, shit,' Theovin thought to himself as he realized he had forgotten about his mate's hunger.

Just as he was about to take action, his dragon, Gold Song, appeared in his mind.

The appearance of Gold Song reminded Theovin that he had not felt his dragon's presence in his mind since Mavin had started fixing his mate.

"SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH OUR MATE!" Gold Song sounded panicked and he rarely ever was.

"I CAN'T MAKE SENSE OF IT, BUT IT SEEMS LIKE SHE IS SPLIT LIKE SHE IS NOT COMPLETE..." Gold Song's voice conveyed a sense of urgency and concern that Theovin had never heard before.

"Gold song, what do you mean by that?" Theovin said, sounding alert.

"THAT WAS WHY I RETREATED AND HELD MY AURA BACK, SHE IS MORE LIKE A FRAGMENT CUT OFF FROM SOMETHING OR SOMEONE," Gold Song explained, his voice urgent and worried.

"I CAN'T MAKE HEADS OF IT ALL RIGHT NOW, BUT I THINK THERE IS MORE TO HER THAN WHAT MEETS THE EYE," Gold Song said, his mind racing with thoughts and questions.

"So, what you're trying to say is that she is our mate, but she is incomplete and still has fragments of herself out there?" Theovin asked, trying to understand what Gold Song was trying to convey.

"YES," Gold Song replied succinctly.

"As expected, our mate cannot be someone ordinary. The fact that she has fragments of herself out there means that there is more to her story that we don't understand yet.

But, honestly, I wouldn't have minded if she was just an ordinary person.

The fact that she is our mate is enough for me, and I will do everything in my power to make sure she is safe and protected," Theovin said, his voice laced with pride and determination.

Regaining his senses, he remembered that he had yet to feed his mate, and he was just about to stand up when his attention was diverted by the sudden noise of someone barging into the room, causing his mate to jump in surprise.

Mavin holding onto a ripped-off part of Ralph's shirt and Ralph looking visibly annoyed at the situation.

As they turned their heads simultaneously to glance into the room, Ralph was stunned and left speechless by what he saw.

Ralph's confusion only grew as he realized that Theovin, the one he knew so well, was sitting on a bed and leaning so close to a human.

He couldn't believe what he was seeing, his mind racing with questions.

'The same human who killed the man in that alley!' Well, I will just pretend I did not see that.

As he felt Mavin's grip loosen on him, he broke free and stepped into the room. The look on Mavin's face was one of surprise and confusion.

"Well, if someone had told me that you would ditch me for a human, I would have laughed in their faces."

Ralph said bitterly, "Theovin, you broke my heart," he wailed.

Which only came out as an annoying sound to the rest of the people in the room.

"Ralph Meides! You need to get a grip of yourself right this moment, or you will not like what will head your way,"

Theovin spoke, adding his bloodline suppression to his words.

'How dare he ruin my reputation by showing such imprudence in front of my mate,' Theovin fumed.

He couldn't believe that someone would behave so thoughtlessly and disrespectfully in his presence.

Theovin was about to order Ralph out of the room when he remembered that he would need someone to get something for his mate to eat.

"Ralph go find something to eat from Mavin's kitchen, and make sure it is something edible for humans," Theovin ordered.

"Hey, why me? Why not Mavin?" Ralph asked, pointing behind him at Mavin. To his surprise, he turned around to find that Mavin had already left him behind.

"That swine! But, look Theovin, this is Mavin's house. I don't think he'd be too happy to know that I just waltzed in here, barged into his kitchen, and picked food out for a human," Ralph protested.

Ralph was forced to shut up when he felt his Dragon spirit whining in pain in his head. 'That damn Theovin,' he thought, 'Suppressing him! Doesn't he know how much that hurts?'

Suddenly, Ralph felt his Dragon spirit take over, he felt a burning sensation course through his veins, causing his body to contort and shift.

His skin stretched and twisted, and brown-colored scales began to sprout from his flesh, spreading until they covered him from head to toe.

His eyes bulged and turned completely brown, taking on an unmistakably reptilian shape as his vision sharpened, allowing him to see even the slightest movements in his surroundings.

As the transformation completed, Ralph stood before Theovin, fully transformed into his Dragon form.

"Leave and bring me food edible enough for human consumption."

Theovin ordered, and without a word, Ralph turned around and left the room, his body still pulsing with the power of his Dragon spirit.
