Chapter 10 - A failed plan.

As Theovin approached the door, it opened and gave way for him to come in.

With his mate limp in his arms, Theovin carried her towards the bed where she had been just moments before.

The thought of losing her made Theovin's blood run cold. He couldn't bear to think of a life without her, not now that he finally found her and had her in his arms.

As he arranged her on the bed, he vowed to do whatever it took to keep her safe, no matter the cost.

For the first time since he had found her, Theovin took a moment to really look at her. Her clothes were threadbare, her hair unkempt.

He could see the bruises on her arms and the dark circles under her eyes.

And it hurt him right in the chest, when he saw how painfully thin she was.

He felt the urge to run out and catch a kill for her.
