Though Alexander wanted to ignore what Madeleine said about his mate being an evil and cursed witch, his mind won't stop thinking about it.

Madeleine stares into the anxious eyes of Alexander. What else will she tell him when he's so adamant in not believing her.
She has already told him that his mate is the last pure blood witch but she knows that he won't believe her if she doesn't gather any proof to show to him. That's why she needs to find the red blood book written by the oldest priestess.
"I'm still trying to be sure of my assumptions, I will inform you once I have good proof" she simply replied to him.
Alexander nods and returns his gaze towards his sleeping mate. Her face looks so calm and innocent while she sleeps.
"Though it's tricking, especially the fact of her smelling like a human. Something in me is obstinate about her being the last pure blood witch," Madeleine added. Alexander stares back at her once again.

"Can you tell me more about this pure blood witch you are talking about?" Alexander demanded, his eyes boring into hers.
Madeleine took a deep breath and started explaining.
"For the witches, being pure blooded means being special and born with incredible powers. Unlike pure borns, pure bloods are rare, they are born once in centuries or less and they cannot be born as hybrids. Only pure born witches and wizards can give birth to the pure blood witch.
"Pure blood witches are gifts from the goddess onto the witches because they are born to protect, save and not to destroy. Their powers cannot be measured. They have the powers to do unimaginable things and they are well respected among the witches, they are worshiped and treated like gods.
"Like I said they are born to protect and to save but one day, a prophecy broke out among the witches, a prophecy about the last pure blood witch who will kill and destroy. I was still young then, it was many years ago so I didn't quite understand the prophecy. I only understood a little bit of it.
"This prophecy was made, when the current pure blood witch at that time, died and of course everyone wept over her death, it was a great loss for the witches and wizards.
"She protected us for years and created strong warriors among us. In the witches and wizards kingdom, the witches are more powerful than the wizards. This was so because a pure blood witch is born more powerful than a pure blood wizard and not just that, the rest of the witches are born with powers greater than the wizards. That sounds incredulous but it was the truth," Madeleine paused and studied Alexander's expression. He looks more engrossed in what she's saying. She's glad he's not bored because Alexander is always bored with long speeches.
She continued, "After the death of the current pure blood witch. Everyone waited for the birth of another pure blood witch but that will surely take time because the pure blood witch didn't live longer like other pure blood witches. Why did she die earlier than it was supposed to be?… That was a puzzle that nobody could solve.
"At the verge of waiting for the birth of another pure blood witch. The oldest priestess of the witches and wizards kingdom broke out that prophecy which shocked everyone. She said that a pure blood witch will be born but she will become the last in the lineage of the pure blood witches and she will be different.
"She said that she's cursed and she will be born evil, instead of protecting, she will destroy…. She will also be born with a golden star mark which will explain her identity, she even drew the portrait of the mark as it went round the witches coven. She also said that the last pure blood witch could be a dangerous tool to some people and she will be more powerful than the previous pure blood witches. I was young then, this was the only thing I grasped from the prophecy but I also heard that no one knew much details about the prophecy because before the oldest priestess could explain more, she mysteriously died just like the pure blood witch.
"I also knew that others knew much about the prophecy more than my younger self at that time. The old priestess actually said a lot. Though she didn't go more deeply she still said the crucial details that should be known. It was also said that she created a magical book about the last pure blood witch and everything that should be known about her but no one knows where that book is. It was said that only the book can reveal the mysterious things about the last pure blood witch. This prophecy shook the witches and wizards kingdom. Everyone waited for the birth of the last pure blood witch so they will kill her since she's going to be a curse and destruction to the witches. But even as years went by, the prophecy didn't come to pass because the last pure blood witch was not born. Before the fall of the witches kingdom, everyone had already given up on the prophecy..."
She paused again to study Alexander's expression once again. She can see that his eyes darkened when she talked about how everyone waited for the last pure blood witch to be born so they would kill her. It looks like the supreme alpha is ready to protect his mate even if it turns out that she's the last pure blood witch.
