Chapter 40: The final battle of the Williard Village (3)

[Your body enchantment, Blood Maiden, has adapted to the demons' blood and mana — you deal more health percentage damage to them and receive less physical damage from their claws and teeth.]

[You have bathed in the blood of your enemies — your health regeneration and resistances have been increased by 200%]

[The enemies fear you… your taunts are more effective.]

"Too weak! Too slow! Move your asses faster!" Gloria screamed at the demons while widely swinging her broad sword, causing waves of blood to splash on the cold ground.

Her heavy attacks caused the chasm to ripple and break, and when her heavy sword landed on the ground alongside the corpses of her enemies, the earthquake of seven scales unfolded in prison, throwing off the closest demons.

Some demons fell to the cracks like the villagers from above them, dying in the same way as mundane humans.

"I want to kill all of you, puppies!" Gloria's taunts waved across the chasm as well.

And while it might seem like she hadn't moved at all, she had progressed significantly, leaving a long path of blood in her wake. Scattered wildly behind her back was naturally her hair but not in the same shades of white as Gloria had bathed in the blood of the demons, becoming of her title.

Blood Maiden was on a rampage.

"You whore!" A demon with his physical force boosted tenfold by his demonic energy howled at the white fox and thrust his sharp claws forward.

His demonic expression was twisted in utmost hatred.

Gloria lifted her sword with her two little hands and easily blocked his assault. As the two weapons clashed, two of them bounced off due to the heavy impact. However, only Gloria had a leeway to step forward, for only her enemy's body had suffered severe damage from their contact.

She skewered him with her huge blade and lifted him up before throwing him away like a piece of trash he was.

Another one died just like that.

And the kill count continued to rise as Gloria's momentum increased. The demons were more and more liable to her taunts as well, be it her malicious eyes, condescending screams, or even her encased in the black armor chest jiggling up and down.

After so much death caused by a sole existence, the demons also couldn't give up on Gloria, could they?

Having all those was all to Gloria's joy and amusement.

If there was one thing that annoyed her, then it was her current flaw…

Her level and strength kept decreasing despite all the boons she had received from her skills. She couldn't afford to kill all of them and ensure that no demon would trouble her and her master later on. Which was why Gloria once again showcased the power of her body.

She leaped up as though having wings. Once her beautiful form floated above most of the demons, Gloria changed the grip of her sword and bent her elbow.

Her black sword shivered and buzzed with intense mana and physical strength gathering around it. Only a weapon of high quality could have survived this much raw force!

Gloria's pose then seemed as though she wanted to throw her weapon down.

But instead, she turned herself into a spear, descending like a lightning bolt!

BANG!

She aimed at the densest crowd of demons, obliterating them with one move. As the dust — the cause of her fall — had dissipated, the rest of the demons widened their eyes upon a black hole that all spartan would have gotten frightened off.

It was so wide, thick, and deep that no demon could see their kin… and Blood Maiden inside. This meant that not only they couldn't have protected themselves at all, but their bodies were also long since gone from the world, leaving Gloria without even a drop of blood.

Blood Maiden hadn't gone for blood at all… she murdered them alive.

"Haha!" And her voice was like a cacophony of the demon's laughter, horrifying the rest of the demons more and more.

[The demons fear you more.]

[Your stats have been increased.]

The white fox casually soared from the depths of the black hole with nothing but the strength of her long legs. Upon touching the ground, she resumed her run to her master's side.

And as usual, that path was filled with blood and corpses.

By the time Gloria got to the hidden route as per her master's guidance, the black hole she had left behind… was halfway filled with the blood of demons.

Beelzebub gazed at the scene from the highest building he had found on the scene.

The enormous black dog had extended his paws to kill as many humans as possible. To protect their friends and families, the hunters of the Williard Village had unsheathed their weapons and bravely charged forward.

The arrows of archers whistled in the air first.

They lodged themselves quite deeply in the tough hide of the black demon, surprising him. No mere human should be able to wound him at all. Alas, that was not the case.

Drawing their bowstrings with their muscles strengthened by Beelzebub's alchemy miracles, the archers poured more strength and mana into their bodies and skills, resulting in them dealing way more damage than they had ever done in their lives.

After the first volley of flying attacks, the hunters' confidence surged, mainly the archers. They quickly took their arrows from their quivers, filling the bows with them.

And another wave of sharp arrows littered the skies, then...

At that time, the close combat forces reached the demon's legs.

Their sharp weapons thrust, hacked, and cut the sturdy skin, drawing crimson lines on it. The droplets of blood aroused the battle thirst of the hunters and filled their hearts with more hope, forcing them to attack stronger and faster.

On the other hand, the demon was more confused than ever.

Those weak humans they had been hunting… now possessed the strength to threaten their greatest sacrifice!

That was absurd!

After the initial shock, belatedly but still, the black dog swept the ground with his paw, shoving away the ants below him. Those directly hit by him had unfortunately paid for inflicting a few wounds with their lives. The rest was blown away by the sheer force.

However, no one backed off.

There was hope.

And one human knew more than the rest.

He knew that there was a demon on their side, too!

And that demon raised his hands, beginning to orchestrate his magic. "It'll take a big cauldron to stuff such a huge demon like you inside."

Beelzebub finally made a move.
