Whoever had been standing on that tree was now gone, and so were the chances of humanity's victory. The hunters and villagers didn't know what exactly had happened and remained muted and frozen as the whole village became drowned in silence.
The black demon boastfully settled himself with his head arched back, his eyes trained on the clear skies. After that sound of judgment — that one gulp — it seemed as though he would soon howl at the heavens to announce his victory.
However, he remained with his jaws shut, not daring to move an inch.
No sound came out from him.
He became like a statue…
And inside that demonic mouth, Beelzebub was still safe… but not for long enough. The demon understood that he couldn't bite and chew David to death, so he invited him to suffer inside his stomach. He tilted his head and hurled his opponent to the depths of his throat.
