Chapter 6 - My turn

Jade turned off the lights and laid on the bed pretending to be asleep, her breathings were now even and her head was clear and devoid of emotions.

She heard a creak from the door, it was obvious that someone was trying to come inside the room sneakily.

Her even heartbeats became distorted and wild again.

"Damn, this won't work." Jade thought, she opened her eyes and quietly stood up from the bed.

Jade sneakily made her way to the curtain and hid behind it.

She heard continuous but barely audible footsteps, the owner of the footsteps sneakily walked to the bed that Jade laid on before.

"Huh, where is she?!" The person shouted in a whisper, his bold manly voice gave away his gender. He quickly searched through his pockets and brought out a walkie talkie.

Jade that was still hiding behind the curtains, aimed her gun at him.

"Hey, She's not here."

-What do you mean she's not there? Search the entire room!-

"There are others?... Of course, there are others, you dimwit." Jade scolded herself internally.

"If I shoot now, I'll alert the others... And that damn silencer, why would I forget something that important?" Jade rolled her eyes.

"I'll have to do it with my hands then." Jade slowly sneaked behind the man. With all the strength she could muster, Jade pounced on him, wrapping her legs around his torso and her arms around his neck.

"Argh, damn bitch!" The man screamed a curse and spun around wanting to get Jade off him.

Jade held his head and striked his head with the gun continuously.

"Argh!" The man slammed Jade and himself against the walls multiple times, Jade's grip on him became stronger and tighter, her added more energy to her strikes.

"Stop screaming like a bitch, you bastard!" Jade yelled and slammed him against the wall, she quickly jumped off and picked up

a bat that was laying on the ground, Jade swung the bat with great strength towards the man's head.

"Thud"

He fell to the floor with a thud that was slightly muffled by the carpet.

Jade walked to the man and crouched by his side.

"Tsk, pathetic." Jade clicked her tongue and let go of the bat after confirming that the man was unconscious.

-Is everything alright over there?-

She picked up the walkie talkie that had fallen out of the man's hand during the fight.

"Hmmm." Jade hummed.

-Good, we'll be there soon-

"Hmphhhh."

The person that was gagged and bounded to a chair shook in horror and letted out muffled screams.

"Oh, you're awake. You woke up earlier than I thought." Jade sat opposite him with a calm smile on her face.

"You, do you remember me? Seven years ago?... Tsk, what I'm I saying? With the number of people you had kidnapped, it would be had to remember." Jade shook her head in pity.

"But it ends here, you should have just been a regular cab driver, atleast I would have let you live." Jade added with derision evident in her voice.

The man's eyes widened probably in fear, shock and realisation.

Jade chuckled at his reaction, "What?... You know, it feels like I'm reliving the event that happened seven years ago... only this time, I'm the hunter and you're the prey. Awesome, right?"

"Hmph hmph!"

"Sorry but I don't understand whet you're saying." Jade opened a small, flat purse. Sharp tools mostly for dissecting was arranged properly in the purse.

"These babies would have worked on you but sadly, we have no time for that." Jade quickly closed the purse again with a look of disappointment.

"So goodbye." Jade stuck the silencer in the muzzle of the gun.

"Hmphh mphh!"

"What? You wanna say something?" Jade walked to him and crouched by his side.

She removed the gag from his mouth.

"Be quick with whatever you wanna say."

"Please, please, don't kill me. I have a wife and three little daughters." The man pleaded and shook violently on his chair, sweat mixed with saliva trickled down his chin.

"And so? I had a family too." Jade said nonchalantly.

"I'm sorry, this is the first time I'm doing this, I never wanted to do but I had no choice, I have to pay for my daughter's surgery and..." The man desperately pleaded but was his desperate pleadings were interrupted.

"Blah blah blah, nothing but trash. If this is your first time, then the person seven years ago was a ghost, right?"

"No, no, no, I, I..."

"What? Ran out of excuses? Cat got your tongue?... I've got work to do." Jade taunted and pointed the gun at him.

"Bye bye, Mr cabbie." Jade pulled on the trigger.

"All of you are monsters that do not deserve to live in this world, I would personally get rid of everyone of you." Jade spat with disdain.

Meanwhile.

In a dark room, a man with long silvery whit hair knelt on the floor with ragged clothes.

His head was bowed and hiss glasses were cracked.

"You helped a prisoner escape? Why?" A cold masculine voice sounded from the other side of the room.

"I just took pity on her and helped her." The white haired man said.

"Don't make me laugh, Dexter."

"I'm sorry, master."

"Don't test me, Dexter." The cold voice said with an overbearing pressure.

"Next time this happens, you won't just spend two years in the dungeon."

"It, it won't happen again, master." The white haired man stuttered.

"I hope so, Dexter. Take him away." The man with the cold masculine voice ordered.

Two men dressed in black came from the other side and dragged the white haired man out of the room.

"Master, about the girl, what should we do?"

"Let her come."

Two orbs of ruby red eyes glowed intensely the dark room.
