I was standing on the edge of a bridge on a deserted highway. Sitting on the protective railing as my feet dangled. It was a beautiful feeling. What I was about to do would not only spare me from the agonizing pain of living but would also be a convenience for my despicable parents.

I looked down just to see the darkness underneath. It was about midnight. The sky was dark and the stars were more visible than they were from my bedroom window. I look up at them and smile, a smile of defeat, and exhaustion.

The figure holding me stepped on the bridge and gently placed me down. I looked up and I wish I hadn't. Because what I saw made my jaw drop and my heartbeat. It was ... A demon? A young male that looked about my age with sharp black horns, shiny brown hair, and a pair of bright eyes that shined like rubies in the dark night.

He looked around him for a second then looked back at me, he crouched down to my level where I was sitting on the floor, mouth wide open. Extended his hand out to my face and gently tucked my bangs behind my ears. "Don't do that ever again."He whispered coldly and disappeared into the darkness.
