(FOUR DECADES AGO )
“Did you hear the news?” Elsa asked Margery who was struggling to get a stain off her garment. Sheila, her elder sister who sat beside Elsa suddenly stopped washing, raising her head.
“What news could be more important than this? We have an assignment after this or have you forgotten?” She asked with a frown.
“Gosh clam down already sis. We are three powerful witches, we will definitely get that helux spell.” Margery said with a smile.
They were in their final year in witch school and had been paired in groups of three for an assignment. They were to perform the helux spell, a very powerful spell that combined the minds and bodies of as many individuals into one. The spell was as dangerous as it was wonderful because if done wrong, the minds of the victims would be forever shattered and they might die in the process.
Whoever performed the spell right would be selected as the new royal witch and sent to the palace to assist the king and queen as ordered by the royal counsel.

Greenville used to be a divided world with every supernatural being at war. The vampires hated the werewolves and witches and it was the same for the witches and werewolves.
They would hunt each other like savages, killing one another just to gain ultimate control over Greenville but they never did succeed in wiping out themselves but the vampires were at a loss since they hardly procreated unlike the wolves and witches who could easily have children.
They were growing smaller in number and they knew if the war continued, they would eventually go extinct in Greenville. The vampire priestess came to the elite king with a solution.
She told him in order to stop the war between them, he would have to marry a witch since werewolves already had their fated mates except the unlucky ones of course.
The elite king found the solution absurd and forbid the priestess from bringing up such topic again but the vampire population kept reducing while that of the werewolves and witches kept increasing that they needed more land to habituate.
Left with no other choice, the king called the priestess and agreed to the idea but he knew no witch would ever agree to be married to an enemy.
“How can this happen? We can't possibly force a marriage on them, it won't bring peace but war.” The elite king said and the priestess told him she would find a way.
She visited the dark cave that night where she met Gwen who had already been waiting for her. Gwen told her she had seen a better world, a world of peace where vampires, witches and werewolves lived together as one. She told her this would happen because of the marriage between the elite king and a witch and she assured her she would talk to the witches about it.
Gwen did as promised and even though they hated the idea, they also craved for a peaceful world and so one of the witches, the youngest of them all by name Salsa, offered to be the kings bride.
The union between them brought peace between the vampires and witches and when the wolves realized they had joined forces, they also decided it was time for peace.
Back then there was only one pack, the Dark river pack. Their alpha had a truce with the elite king which finally united all three creatures. That was how hybrids came into existence with vampires marrying witches so as to increase their population.
After years of peace, the first ever vampire werewolf hybrid was born. No one believed it possible but it happened and that child was declared the strongest amongst all supernaturals. That child was prince Arthur, born of an Alpha wolf and an elite vampire. He left the palace as a kid to learn how to use his abilities and since then no one had heard from him, until this very moment.

“Fine, what news?” Sheila asked and Elsa smiled brightly.
“Prince Arthur is back! The royal counsel had announced it early this morning!” She gushed and Margery chuckled.
“Why is that a thing of joy to you?” She asked and Elsa frowned.
“He has been gone for years. I'm sure his return is because he wants to take a wife.” She said and Sheila smiled secretly.
If that was true then she would make sure he chooses her as his bride. She would be married to the most powerful being in Greenville and their child would be the first ever Tribrid to be born. She would have ultimate power at the tip of her fingers.
“Well that is great news but prince Arthur isn't going to help us finish this laundry in time to practice our spell.” Margery said and resumed washing her clothes.
Elsa turned to Sheila as she had been quiet the entire time. She noticed a smile on Sheila's face and furrowed her brows.
“Don't tell me you're also excited about this? You're never excited about anything.” Elsa asked and Sheila composed herself not wanting to show her interest in the prince.
“Who says I'm interested? Let's finish this up.” She said with a frown and Elsa shrugged before resuming her laundry.
On the day of the spell test, many groups failed to get it right and some almost killed themselves but Margery's group which comprised of her sister and best friend passed. They performed it well and everyone was amazed but like they thought, they weren't all sent to the palace.
“I'm sorry to announce but only one of you will be sent to the palace this time around. The prince has returned and the king had requested for only one royal witch this time.” The superior mother as they called her announced.
Sheila smiled on hearing this as she knew she would be the one to be sent to the palace. It was as if fate was on her side as this would give her the chance to seduce the prince into marrying her.
Margery was also smiling, not because she wanted to get picked but because she wanted her sister to get picked. She thought it would be amazing if her sister got sent to the palace and she also hoped the prince would choose her from there. She wanted her sister to be happy and so she silently prayed her sister would get picked.
“And so the one who will be going to the palace is... Margery.” The superior mother announced and everyone applauded her. However, Margery had turned into an iced statue. The news had shocked her to the bones and even though Elsa kept screaming and cheering for her, she didn't move an inch.
“Superior mother, I'm really grateful that you picked me, really but why me? You could have picked Sheila or Elsa so why me?” Margery asked, glancing at Sheila who carried a disappointed look.
“I follow my instinct all the time Margery and it said I should pick you. Now run along and get ready, you'll leave this afternoon.” She said before leaving the hall.
“Congratulations Margery. You're so lucky.”
“I'm really happy for you Margery.”
The other witches kept congratulating her until it was just Elsa and Sheila in the hall with her.
“Gosh Margery and to think you weren't interested in what I had to say the other day! Who knows the prince might actually marry you!” Elsa gushed but Margery wasn't smiling. Her gaze was locked with that of Sheila who was glaring at her scornfully.
Elsa was confused as to why Sheila was angry since she made it clear she wasn't interested in the prince.
“Sheila I'm sorry. I know you wanted to be the one and I wish I wasn't picked really.” Margery apologized and Sheila immediately stopped glaring at her.
“It doesn't change anything. I wish you good fortune.” She said coldly before storming out of the hall.
“She'll come around. Let's get you packed up.” Elsa said before dragging Margery out of the hall.

PRESENT TIME
“So this was how it all started? I always thought Greenville was like this right from time. They never told us about the war in power school.” Cruella said and Gwen smiled.
“That is because it was a long time ago and they chose to leave it in the past.” Gwen said and Cruella bounced her head.
“So what happened next? Did the prince marry Margery?” Cruella asked unaware of the bomb Gwen was about to throw at her at the end of the story.
“Yes, he fell in love with her after several encounter and soon, he announced an open relationship with her which made Sheila very angry. She almost didn't attend their wedding but had to so it doesn't get obvious that she was into the prince.” Gwen replied and Cruella bounced her head. She was about to ask again but suddenly felt thirsty.
It finally occured to her that she hadn't fed for hours now and she was no longer in the human world.
“I need to feed.” She told Gwen and Gwen smiled at her.
“Wait here.” She said and left the hut, returning seconds later with a small plastic bag containing blood.
“Where did you get this?” Cruella asked as she tore the bag open before drinking the content. It wasn't as sweet as human blood but it'll have to serve for now.
“I knew you would get hungry along the way so I prepared well.” Gwen replied and Cruella exhaled after she had finished the blood.
“So what happened next?” She asked and Gwen smiled.
