Silver got home tiredly, after being directed by different people. Had gone quite far from home. It was nighttime already and he was welcomed warmly by his mother and with scolding from his father.
" Where have you been young man? " his father asked sternly.
" I thought you didn't want me in your house. Besides I'm not your son anyway, you've made that clear yesterday. So where I go is none of your concern. " Silver replied furrowing his brows.
" You're right *scoffs*. My son wouldn't fail his awakening! You can as well leave and don't return if you wish! " Mr Fernando said angrily
" Calm down honey. He's still a child. Besides, he worked hard for his awakening. Maybe he could try someday, it's not the end of the world. " Mrs Fernando tried calming her husband.
" Sigh... Isn't he my first son? How would the heavens be so cruel as to not give him my genes? " Fernando sighed.
Silver was starting to feel emotional. He could understand his father's feelings. But at that moment, the only thing in his mind was food, and to finally break the news he has prepared on his way back home.
He found out Hannah, his little sister, was already fast asleep when he peeked into her room. He went to the kitchen, ignoring his parents emotional state, looking for what would hold his stomach till the next day. He went straight to bed, while debating with himself if he should break the news to his parents or not. On a second thought, his mother might breakdown and it will only add to her grieve.
His plan actually was to tell his parents that he won't give up on his dreams of becoming a mage, and would go for training himself on how to kill demon monsters, and when he is ready, he would join the military. He gave up the thought when he realised his mother will be worried about him, and his father too, even though they apparently fight alot.
He laid on his bed facing the ceiling, and his thoughts gradually drifted to the old man. In as much as he was drunk, he still believed the old man literally changed to his own reflection. ' How did he do that? as far as I know, there is no such magic of you transforming into an actual person and turning back in an instant. Who knows if the old man was part of his trick and not his true self? Sigh... I wish I hadn't slept off last night. I would have definitely asked him about it, and ask him teach me if possible. ' Silver regretted.
Suddenly, he started to feel a strong migraine on his head. He felt uncomfortable and went to the fridge to take some ice when it suddenly stopped. He felt confused but still took some ice incase it starts again.
Silver went to his room and slept. About 10 minutes later, he jolted up from his sleep and noticed a weird feeling, like his blood was draining out of him, and coming back into him.
His head began to ache again. But this time, more heavily. He screamed, covering his head with his pillow, reducing the noise so as to not alert anyone. This continued for about 30 seconds and finally stopped. Silver felt extremely weak and started to pant heavily.
He felt scared and lay flat on his bed, still wondering what just happened.
** Meanwhile **
A young man was seen on his chair reading a large book. Suddenly, he closed the book and sighed.
" It has finally began. I hope he doesn't go astray. "
