Silver decided to stop his current school for now because only those with magic are eligible for the higher classes.
He got on with his day, with him being the only person at home, as his parents had gone to work and his sister has gone to school. She was quite happy knowing her brother came back home, after getting everyone worried.
That was the least of Silver's problems and he locked himself in his room, taking out the book from his drawer. He couldn't help but to admire the book cover. It was plane, only the weird title stood out. It had different shape placed side by side with different colours. All together, when looking at it vertically, It formed a sword. Silver didn't put much thought to it and opened the book.

" What the hell? Isn't this Greek? How the f**k am I supposed to read it and understand what it says? oh! right! my translator. " Silver took out his phone and began translating the words. It was a lot of work, but he would do everything possible to be a magician.
" The beginning. All way round through humanity. The soul yearns for sovereignty. Only the few gets divinity. " He read out the first page.
" Wow. Don't understand though, but let's read on. " He spoke to himself. He flipped through and read.

Silver was starting to frown. Was that old man really toying with him? This is obviously a motivational book, and he didn't need one. He decided to flip through to the middle page and surprisingly saw another cover of the book. It was like it was one big book, with two sub-books.
He tried opening the small book and noticed it was stuck. Frustratingly, he kept the book back on his bed and laid down facing the ceiling. He soon took the book and used it as a pillow, thinking about what to do next. Just then he heard a voice.
" CONGRATULATIONS DEAR USER. SYSTEM SCANNED. SYSTEM GRANTED. PAGE 145 ACCOMPLISHED. "
" What the hell was that? " He stood up and noticed the golden hue of the book glowing brightly and engulfing him. He soon fell on his knees, not being able to withstand the pressure within him. He gritted his teeth and held his ground. Alas, it stopped and another notification popped in.

A boy was seen gentle rubbing and scrutinizing his eyes to get a clear view of his surroundings. Silver lazily got up and remembered about the so called system. He decided to call for it if it would respond.
" System! system? hello... you said you have successfully scanned me, and gave me a bunch of weird notes. How the hell would that make me a magician? Is this a freaking video game? Answer me!! "
" New task activated: Stay calm for 30 minutes. Reward: 20 ESP " A sudden notification popped up and that made Silver confused.
' Does it show up randomly? '
He decided to really try and stay calm with the numerous thoughts going through his head. Alas he picked up the book and started reading it. Just like the old man had said, it contains some information about the system, what it does, and how it works.
He felt glad and regretted not reading it earlier. Maybe that would have lessen his confusion at about 40%. Me had learnt that the system was a kind of rare inheritance that comes once every millennium. That explains why nobody, even as knowing as his father knew nothing about it. * Well that's as far as he knew. *
Also the system automatically leaves the user only when they die, and goes directly to the creator. He also knew he would have to perform certain tasks, reach certain levels, before the system would choose a befitting magic for him.
Silver smiled once again and as expected, a message popped in his eyes.
