Chapter 13 - Episode 2/Chapter 13: Level 3 Chocolate Goblin Security Protocol

Like a volcano about to erupt, the grumpy security guard narrowed her eyes in a lava scorched fury at Jay. Her fists balled and trembled and steam could be seen rising from the top of her head.

"Chocolate!" Jay says firmly in her face. The guard turns around and dashes towards a wall where a red handle was hung. The handle was in the up position just waiting to be pulled down for any of the three levels specified in marker written on the wall beside it.

"Better be gettin' our chocolate!" Jay calls through the window. Andrew looked a bit worried. Even he could see that Jay was going a bit too far with the demand of chocolate, but he was going to be on his side right or wrong, that's the way of the trainee-trainer relationship while on the road.

Guard #1 grabs the handle and yanks it down to level 3 security protocol, suitable for the most serious of situations such as attempted burglary, infiltration operations from snooty companies, and other serious threats. The entire guard shack went dark as a loud blaring alarm went off. A concealed compartment in the wall beside the coffee maker counter opened and revealed three bulky, intimidating, goblin build combat suits, equipped with heating and cooling systems for their movement stifling fudge blasters. The three guards begin to suit up while the pounding of Jays fist on the window nearly drowned out the alarm itself.

Andrew and Jay could hear growling and howling noises coming from inside after the alarm went quiet.

"What the hell is going on in there, Jay?" Andrew asks.

"Probably don't want to give us any chocolate, so they're moaning and groaning about it." Jay replies. "How big of a deal is it to just hand us a few cases of free chocolate?"

Suddenly, the door of the shack bursts open with so much force that it flies off the hinges. A loud roar blows out through the opening and shortly after, three large, bulky behemoths lumber out of the shack. They looked like they were made of chocolate and carried some advanced tech on their backs with lights that alternated between red and light blue as the cooling and heating systems controlled the liquid fudge in their fudge blaster chambers. The Chocolate Goblin security monsters turned to Jay and Andrew.

"Well?" Jay says with a raised eyebrow. "Where's our chocolate?"

"Right here!" Guard #1 points her arm at Jay and Andrew and a thick stream of fudge shoots out at them. Jay and Andrew move out of the way avoiding being covered in chocolatey fudge.

"Let's git the hell outta here, Jay!" Andrew shouts as he dashes for the truck.

"Not til I git ma chocolate!" Jay plants his boots into the snow and readies for combat.

"Pummel this fat fuck!" Guard #1 orders the other two, "I got the scrawny little one!"

Meanwhile, Andrew had just dialed for Jimmie.

"Doggonit Transport, Jimmie speaking." Jimmie was in the dispatch office, comfortably sitting at his desk on this slow, but beautiful day.

"Jimmie! We're in some serious trouble!" Andrew shouts.

"What's happening?"

"Jay pissed off the guard shack people and now they're in some kind of chocolate mecha suits and are trying to kill us!"

"Chocolate mecha suits?" Jimmie thinks for a moment. He pulls up the load that Jay and Andrew were on. "Oh, that's right, you're at Choco Goblin. You must've activated the level 3 security protocol somehow. Alright, listen carefully..."

While Andrew ran towards the truck, Guard #1 was on his tail, stomping towards him angrily. She switches the chamber unit to cold and begins firing balls of frozen chocolate, much more painful to get hit with than snowballs. Andrew manages to avoid getting hit except for one that blasts him straight in the back.

Meanwhile, Jay wrestled with the other two choco goblins, slamming one of them onto the ground with a tackle. The other hammer fisting him on his back causing him to collapse onto the other. Jay takes a huge bite out of the face of the choco goblin who yells in agitation.

"You guys are lucky that it's so cold outside today", Jimmie says, "First thing, go to your truck and grab a tire thumper. Jay should have one in there in the side compartment."

Andrew hurries to the side compartment of the truck. He tries yanking open the door but it was sealed shut.

"I can't get it open!" Andrew shouts.

"Open the driver door and pull the lever located by the seat, it will open that door." Jimmie orders. Andrew narrowly avoids getting hit with a burst of frozen fudge balls as he yanks open the driver door and pulls the lever by the seat. Guard #1 was getting closer to Andrew as he scurried to rummage through the side compartment. While he rummaged around for the tire thumper, The mecha guard readies a ultra cooled fudge ball that required a few seconds of loading, but in this few seconds, Andrew was able to find the tire thumper.

"I got it!" Andrew says happily. He turns around just in time to face the mecha guard who had just shot the ultra cooled fudge ball. In mid motion, Andrew swings the tire thumper just in time to bat the fudge ball, blowing it into a million shards of chocolatey ice. The burst caused a large cloud of powdery ice. Andrew uses this opportunity to disappear and make his way under the trailer.

"Alright, I got the tire thumper, now what?" Andrew asks, scooting further under the trailer.

"Now, you either wait for their suits to freeze on their own, or you break their cooling and heating systems attached to their backs which will shock the suit into total sudden freezing."

"I'm not going to be able to get close to that thing. I'll just wait it out."

"What about Jay?" Jimmie asks.

"Uh, I think he's handling himself pretty good..."

Jay grabs a mecha guard around the neck in a hold and falls backwards onto a snow clear part of the pavement, busting the chocolate head encasement on the hard, ice covered cement. The other guard stomps his large foot onto Jay who catches it in both hands, then with a twist of his whole body, he throws the mecha guard over him and into the snow.

Jay gets up and brushes off the snow, as does the other two guards who were cracked and broken in some places.

Andrew looks out from under the trailer. The mecha guard was nowhere to be seen.

"I think i'll wait it out inside the warmth of the truck." Andrew whispers as he makes his way out to the other side of the trailer that appeared to be clear but once he was out and on his feet ready to dash to the passenger door, he hears a loud growl from behind and above him.

"You stupid asshole truck drivers!" Mecha guard #1 was standing on top of the trailer. "You and your free chocolate! Take some of this!"

The mecha guard jumps from the trailer and lands on the ground with a blast of snow and ice shooting up in all directions. Andrew is thrown backwards from the shockwave, his phone landing upright in the snow nearby.

Once the snow dust cleared around the mecha guard, Andrew could see that she was there still in a punching the ground position. He was expecting her to move, but she only made gurgling noises in attempts to move. The shock of the impact froze her in place, immovable.

"Andrew! Andrew do you copy!" Jimmie calls from the phone. Andrew scurries to retrieve his phone.

"Yeah, i'm here." Andrew replies.

"What's going on? I heard a loud blast", Jimmie says.

"It looks like the guard is stuck to the ground." Andrew says.

"Now's your chance! Use the tire thumper to break the chocolate encasement of the suit! But be careful not to hurt the guard inside!"

"Sure, i'll be very careful not to hurt the guard inside..." Andrew says sarcastically as he walks over to the mecha guard.

"You better get away from me! You're lucky it's fucking snowing!" the mecha guard growls. Andrew brings the tire thumper over his head, and with blank, wide eyes and no expression on his face, he bashes the guard in the head with it, busting the chocolate encasement until the guards angry head could be seen. Just for good measure, Andrew made sure to whack the guards naked head just one more time to get all the chocolate off completely.

Meanwhile, the chocolate suits of the other guards had finally froze up, they were stiff and immovable. Jay takes the opportunity to body slam each mecha guard one by one, completely shattering their frozen chocolate suits.

"Alrighty then", Jay claps his hands together to shake off all the butt whooping of chocolate goblins ad snow.

"Alright Andrew", Jimmie says, "now we just need to get them to sign the bills before you leave."

"I'm not signing shit!" Guard #1 shouts at Andrew. Just then, police and paramedics finally arrive on the scene. Jay and Andrew plead their case with the police who ultimately determine that Jay and Andrew didn't do anything wrong and that activating level 3 security protocol was unnecessary. But they still needed the bills signed. Andrew heads over to one of the other two guards who were being treated for minor frost bite injuries.

"Before we leave, we need these bills signed for proof of delivery." Andrew says.

"Sure, i'll sign them." Guard #3 says with a smirk. He signs the front page of the bills with a cursive "fuck you". Andrew takes the paper.

"Thanks!" Andrew then hurries back to the truck where Jay was waiting and jumps into the passenger seat.

"Wow, that was some shit!" Andrew says. "At least we got the bills signed so we can get paid!"

"And that's not all we got!" Jay yanks the bunk curtain to the side revealing all the boxes of chocolate from the guard shack stacked up in the bunk.

"Holy shit, you got the chocolate too!" Andrew says in surprise.

"Yep! Now lets git the hell on before they realize it." Jay smashes off the property of Choco Goblin.

"I gotta tell Jimmie we're ready for another load." Andrew dials for Jimmie.

"What's up Andrew?" Jimmie says, "you guys make it outta there alright?"

"Sure did. We're ready for our next load."

"Alright, I already got a load heading to Louisiana, i'll dispatch you guys in a minute." Jimmie says.

"Cool, thanks." Andrew replies.

"But I'll be out for the rest of today, gotta deal with something going on at that place you guys just left, so if you need anything, my substitute Jim Yawn will be in to take your call in my place."

"Sounds good. See ya." Andrew says and with a later, Jimmie hangs up.

"Next loads heading to Louisiana." Andrew says to Jay.

"Haha! Louisiana! Loads probably gonna be bananas. Those are always fun." Jay says. And the two were off for their next load that would pit them against the murky, humid roads of the south. Wonder what kind of "fun" these banana's will hold for the duo...
