June, 2nd 2023

I regret to come here. This orphanage think will not be easy to taking care of. What's happened to the rich people nowadays!?

Diary Entries #106

Julia Harianto

————————————————————————————————————————————

I put my hand inside my hoodie pocket and observed people walking by in front of me. Shit. Does she forget? "Julia!" I straightened my body when as she was walking approach me. Oh, fuck. She always wearing inappropriate dress.

"Why you…wearing that dress!? Go, change it. I'll…"

"It's fine! I bring my blazer with me." Anthony is Anthony. I took a deep breath and exhale slowly through my mouth. Shit.

"Where's Irene? I really likes her already," she looking around looking for Irene. Why she keeps doing that? We already broke up, but somehow, she doesn't want me to break up with her. Kirana slaps my shoulder.

"She… has a schedule." Irene loves her career. If I only become a burden to her, why not? Kirana whine because of the sun. Weather in Rockeness same as Austin. Hot at day, windy at night. I wonder what she wants with Irene. The last she meets her, they never ending well.

I put on my headset and raised my brows. "Do you have…." she handing me my Nintendo Switch. I kissed her cheek and took a deep breath.

"Now tell me. Why you break her heart?" I looked into her eyes.

No ones to be lonely forever. Maybe Kirana was concern about me, or Irene told her who she was. "I'm done with the rumor surrounds her, Kirana. We…"

Kirana snatches my Nintendo, then put it inside her purse. "Just it?" I shook my head.

"We often fight because of… I want to tell the world that she's mine." I said.

Kirana sighed, and face palmed herself. Does it be a dumb decision I made? I mean… we often fight, slamming doors, stomping, and yelling. Kirana smacks my head with her hand. Even though she doesn't like sports, it hurts.

"We talked later after this. I'll make sure you regret what you're doing!" What's wrong with that!? "I'll returned your game consoles after we've done talking!"

I only can rolled my eyes and grumped after her talking that. She more likes my mom. I took a deep breath and looked at in front of me right now. I guess this is our departure to the hill.

Now here we are. We get out from the bus and welcomed by the priest and…. "Ms. Harianto and Mrs. McGuire?" Kirana shook her hand with the priest, then followed by me. "I'm Harrietta Jenkins. The owner of the mansion, and he is a Father Matthew Duncan. He runs the orphanage and the headmaster of St. Lucas Academy." Oh… the owner of the mansion and the person who runs everything.

I thought she… his wife or something. The only my favorite preacher was Joel Osteen. I don't know Christian can marry, but why Catholic can't? I know it's a sensitive question, but… it makes me wonder sometimes. "How's the trip?" Harrietta asked.

"The road was bumpy, but everything is fine." Kirana cleared her throat. Since I can't talk much to people, we decide to play role-playing. She's good at acting. I can bring her to Hollywood, but her husband will kill me before we can touch our foot on The Land of "Holly" City.

"Let the butler brings your suitcase to your room mansion." I looked at the white hair man. Maybe his age same as my uncle, mid 50s. His tall about 5,7 foot. Brings out my suitcase and hers. They forced us to stay since the trip to this mansion took my battery low.

Kirana took a glance at me. "Um… Ms. Harianto doesn't like her suitcase carried by someone else." Harrietta gives a sign to him to drop my belongings. I picked my ransel and duffle bag and followed the convoy inside the mansion.

Okay, here we go. It's more like a museum tour for me. Mrs. Brag Bitch wearing a Prada red ruby dress, wearing black heels and pearls circling on her neck, and a diamond ring. She walks like she owns everything. "My grandpa…" yeah, yeah, yeah… typical rich person said.

My ancestor was the one who built everything, and we, as her successor, we should blah, blah, blah! I tapped Kirana's shoulder, then shook my head.

"Um… Mrs. Jenkins," Kirana try to not blow our cover, then put her hands on her knees and looked at Mrs. Jenkins. "Ms. Harianto seems tired and… she wants to…"

"Oh, it's fine. We can talk about it after dinner." This mansion cleaned just a minute ago. I stepped on… what is this? A sponge!?

I picked the wet sponge. "Excuse me." I cleared my throat. Shit. I don't like it. I need to know more about how this orphanage operates. Why does Rockeness people likes to donate here!?

I like the view. I can see this mansion at the library, and it's strategic. What was this place before!?

"Is there something wrong?" I hid the sponge under the couch. Mrs. Jenkins and Father Matthew look at me.

I shook my head. "It's a nice… tile." Maybe I just overthink about that.

We chuckled to lighten up the mood, then we proceed to the next room. "Whenever you need a quiet place to write… we cleaned this for you. This is my dad's study room and all inside this room…" I walked to the window, then looked at down.

I saw children walking to their respective room. All children here have their own nun. This place is more like a hospital rather than an actual orphanage. I took a deep breath and looked at Mrs. Jenkins and Father Matthew.

They seem nice. Even Mrs. Jenkins I nicknamed her as Mrs. Brag Bitch, but she never said a foul words to these children. "Your room on the second floor, and Mr. Rakhsh will escort both of you to your room." Kirana nodding her head.

"This way," he said.

We followed the butler. Kirana keep took a glance at me likes she wants to say something. "Mr. Rakhsh…" my words cut by a present of a boy in front of us.

He keeps staring at me, and he said. "Help my sister…" he touched my hand. His hand freezes on my skin. "Oh, Charlie…" Father Matthew approaching him.

This little boy was pale. "We need a doctor, Father…"

"We already have a doctor, Ms. Harianto. Our doctor is the best of the best in his field." He patted my shoulder.

I looked at Charlie again, and he looks at me with a puffy eye. He has an eyebag. Is that a dried blood on his pajamas!? "Ms. Harianto…" Mr. Rakhsh tapped my shoulder.

I keep looking at my bag and tried to focus on Charlie's look. "Julia… listen to what they said," she squeezed my shoulder. "We can discuss it," she lower her tone.

She's right. I keep following Mr. Rakhsh to our room. My eyes can't stop looking for that boy. Help your sister? What's that mean? She's in a good hand, right!? I keep looking for him until he can't see again from my sight. I should discuss it with Kirana first before we proceed to the transaction.

Shit. I don't want to be here anymore.
