Chapter 13 - From Weak To Strong

Egon never planned for any of this to happen, but it was all Leo's fault. Leo had underestimated Egon and thought he was the same vulnerable kid he used to pick on.

"You brought all this upon yourself. It's unfair to prey on someone's weakness," Egon fumed with anger at Leo.

Leo felt highly embarrassed by Egon's words and retaliated" Ray, Ben, Drake take him down at all cost".

Freya was furious with Leo's behavior and called him out for not acting like a real man. "I thought you were strong, but now I see you can't even defeat someone weaker than you," she shouted in anger. Her outburst drew strange looks from everyone.

"What are you staring at?" she snapped at them.

"It's not surprising they're looking at you, Freya. Your boyfriend is being ganged up on, and they want to see how he escapes," Miriam pointed out.

"I never wanted him to win, to be honest," Freya replied, her saddened expression suggesting otherwise.

"I knew it! He's your boyfriend," Miriam declared immediately.

"Stop it! I never said that. He's not my boyfriend," Freya retorted, trying to make Miriam understand.

"Why didn't you say 'He's not my boyfriend' and 'I never wanted him to win'? It's that easy," Miriam emphasized.

Freya was in no mood for jokes and tried to ignore Miriam to focus on the fight ahead.

Leo was disappointed that the person he was trying to impress saw him as a bully. "I don't want to see him standing again! Take him out!" he shouted fiercely.

Leo, Ray, Ben, and Drake launched a simultaneous attack, and Lydia watched with curious interest.

Leo led the group in their invulnerable formation, a skill known as the "quad squad," where they separated into four positions in seconds. Egon could see through their tricks and was already preparing himself for the outcome. He knew he had won the first fight thanks to Leo's carelessness.

Egon had always been calm in the face of danger, thanks to his uncle's training on staying composed during a crisis.

Before the battle began, Egon had requested Mega to run a background check on Leo's combat skills. During the teaching section, he took his time and studied the report in-depth. That was how he identified Leo's weakness, but unfortunately, he persisted in the last strike.

Egon knew that Leo's quad squad formation would pose a challenge for him, and he taunted Leo with his words. "Leo, you have no honor. You can't even take down someone as weak as me," he goaded, trying to draw Leo's attention away from his formation.

"That means I'm taking all four of you down," Egon barked, summarizing his strategy.

The crowd murmured that it wasn't a fair fight, criticizing Leo for his lack of honor and for being threatened by a new kid.

The students in the cafeteria quickly abandoned their meals and immediately gathered around to witness the exciting spectacle that was about to ensue.

"Less talking and more fighting," Leo snapped with determination as he stepped on a desk and propelled himself upwards, executing a perfect somersault kick aimed at Egon's head.

Egon managed to dodge Leo's attack at the last moment, but he was distracted and failed to notice that Ben, Drake, and Ray had taken their positions.

Without warning, Ben appeared suddenly and landed a powerful blow on Egon's vulnerable shoulder blade, causing him to scream in pain.

Leo giggled confidently and let out a sharp remark, "That's the taste of your own medicine."

Egon tried to defend himself from Ben's second attack, but it was only the beginning of his pain and agony.

Ray quickly tackled Egon's legs from under him, causing him to fall to the ground defenseless. With Egon at his mercy, Leo saw an opening to end the fight with a devastating blow to Egon's stomach. He jumped on a desk and dived downward with his elbow extended, ready to deal the final blow to his defenseless opponent.

At this moment, everyone in the cafeteria was shocked by what they witnessed. Egon smiled, and everyone was stunned to the core at his unexpected reaction.

"Even in the face of danger and imminent defeat, this freak can still put up a facade," Freya remarked, completely baffled by Egon's behavior.

Realizing too late that he had been trapped, Leo's fate was sealed. It was already too late for him to change his attack pattern, and he was halfway through the air with no room to avoid his downfall.

He didn't have his heightened ability, presently, he lacked speed.

Egon did a back tumble and took a punching stance, ready for the fool that was about to enter his laid-out plan.

Egon had the upper hand, of course, he was used to not having abilities. That accounted for his heightened normal speed.

Ray and Ben saw the upcoming hit. They tried to invade the attack but weren't fast enough. Everyone in the room felt like be punch that was about to be given out was in slow motion.

Egon extended his hands for a right

Uppercut right towards Leo's neck. He wanted to make Leo pay badly for everything he had done, he was going for a killer strike.

"Vooommm….." Nobody knew what was going on, but looking towards Leo and Egon, there was the physical combat teacher. A man in his late sixties. He had a white thick bears

His right hand covered Egon's left hand and covering Egon's palm and his left hand held Leo's shirt halfway close to the floor.

"Mmmmm…" Leo was sweating profusely.

Leo imagined what could have happened to him if the teacher didn't come right in time.

He stopped Egon from releasing that deadly punch.

"Young man, I can see your charisma, but you shouldn't have gone for his neck. The rules of this school aren't set to kill each other.

You might be good in physical combat, nevertheless, if it were to be a battle between abilities, what do you think will be the outcome?" The old man inquired.

"Hahaha...You know that you will be dead right now if my abilities were included" Leo tried to cover up his shame. He forgot that the old man held unto him by his shirt.

He was immediately dropped, and he landed flat on the ground.

Everyone busts into laughter,

"That serves him right," Freya stated as she laughed too.

"I think you deprive joy from seeing Leo suffer" Miriam was perplexed.

"I don't seem to understand you. Now that Egon was about to win, you were delighted," Miriam asked.

"Never, I wasn't happy. Happy for that ingrate, you misunderstood me," Freya wanted to clarify herself.

Lydia overheard their discussion from her seat.

She stood up and went straight to Freya and warned her,

"Don't you dream about him" She pointed at Egon as she stared right into Freya's eye, saying

"He's mine and whatever is mine can't be any other person's property"

Lydia stood up and went back to her seat with an evil smile on her face.

The old man dragged Egon and Leo together.
