Freya stood frozen in disbelief as she realized that the very person she despised was going to be attending the same school as her. The news hit her like a bolt of lightning, leaving her utterly stunned.

"Today is quite an unlucky day," Freya whispered.

Dressed in her unique uniform, Freya exuded an air of confidence and allure that captivated anyone who laid eyes upon her. Her uniform, though provocatively short, accentuated her figure and made her the center of attention. With flowing red hair that cascaded down her waist and a well-fitted jacket that matched her skimpy shirt, Freya was a vision of undeniable beauty.

As Freya tried to navigate the halls of the school, she couldn't escape the glances and whispers that followed her and the notorious Egon. Unbeknownst to Egon, an event that had taken place just two hours ago had already gone viral, making them the talk of the school. Two passing ladies couldn't help but gossip as they caught sight of Freya and Egon.

"Isn't that Freya Blaze? And isn't that the handsome guy from the video? Wow, they look like the perfect match made in heaven," they murmured.

Freya and Egon overheard the ladies' comments, and their simultaneous reaction was one of denial.

"NO…" they both exclaimed in unison.

"He's not my boyfriend," Freya emphasized, pointing at Egon.

"She's not my girlfriend," Egon insisted, pointing back at Freya. It was as if their minds were in sync, repeating the same sentiments.

"We can never be matched by heaven," they continued, their words intertwining.

Their synchronized response astonished both Freya and Egon. They had never expected to share the same feelings about their situation.

"Couples… impossible," they concluded, but their synchronized statements only seemed to complicate matters further.

In an attempt to clarify things, the two ladies approached Freya and Egon, their faces flushed with excitement.

"Please, Freya, if you don't mind, can we take a selfie with your gorgeous boyfriend?" they asked eagerly, hoping to avoid an actual reply. Without waiting for a response, they rushed over to Egon and quickly snapped a selfie before hurriedly leaving, blushing.

Egon, clearly agitated, turned to Freya and spoke with a stern tone.

"Freya, or whatever they call you, I don't want rumors spreading about me dating you. Do whatever it takes to dispel these rumors. Don't drag me into the mud with you," he insisted before walking off in the direction of the right corridor.

"Gosh! This gentleman really gets on my nerves," Freya muttered angrily to herself.

"We are both implicated in this. It's not like you're the only one to lose a goddamn reputation," she added, her frustration evident. Determined to confront Egon, she swiftly headed towards the right corridor.

As she approached her classroom, Freya spotted Egon standing in front of the classroom with their teacher addressing the class. Their eyes met briefly, but it was enough to ignite a spark of tension between them, fueling the already tumultuous emotions of the moment.

"Hello, class. We have a new student right in front of us," announced the teacher, his voice resonating with authority.

As Freya stood outside the classroom, a surge of anger coursed through her veins. The realization that she would have to spend the rest of the semester with this guy, sharing the same space and breathing the same air, infuriated her. She remained motionless, absorbing the weight of the situation.

"Freya, get into the class! You're always late. I don't appreciate you taking advantage of the privilege of having a wonderful father," scolded the middle-aged teacher, donning a long jacket that accentuated his stern demeanor.

The teacher's words unleashed a fiery fury within Freya. She clenched her fists, seething with anger, before storming straight to her seat. Egon observed her reaction but paid it no mind, seemingly unaffected by her visible rage.

Turning his attention to the new student, the teacher addressed the class, emphasizing his tardiness. His eyes momentarily flickered toward Freya, leaving an unspoken message hanging in the air.

"Now, you can introduce yourself to the class," he prompted, signaling the spotlight to shift onto the newcomer.

All eyes were fixated on the stunning new student, particularly the girls who couldn't help but be captivated by his charm. Whispers and murmurs circulated throughout the classroom as speculation ran rampant.

"Isn't he the young man with the flashy car? He looks exactly like the guy in Freya's viral video. I never expected this clumsy girl to be his girlfriend," one girl whispered, unable to contain her curiosity.

The girls found themselves swooning over the new student's irresistible looks, their imaginations running wild with romantic notions.

As the new student rose to address the class, Egon's gaze suddenly drifted to a familiar face—a classmate from his dreaded middle school days. Memories from his childhood flooded his consciousness, leaving Egon speechless and overwhelmed. It was an encounter he never thought he would have to face again.

The mere sight of this person, Leo Windrider, who had made his middle school years unbearable, shook Egon to his core.

Meanwhile, Leo paid no attention to the new student's arrival. His eyes were fixed solely on Freya, the object of his affections and longstanding crush. In an attempt to hide his unease, Egon bowed his head, desperate to avoid catching Leo's attention.

"Hey, kid," the class teacher tapped Egon, attempting to bring him back into focus.

"I guess our new student isn't fond of talking. You can kindly sit in the third row, at the empty desk over there," he directed, pointing towards the vacant seat.

To Egon's dismay, it was merely four feet away from Freya's desk.

"That new student is really kind of cool. He didn't even make comment when the teacher asked him to introduce himself," female students discussed among themselves.

He bent his face downward and went to his seat and bowed his head on his desk.

"Hmmm. Who does he think he is? When it comes to insulting a lady. His competent enough, but when it comes to addressing a crowd, he acts all cool. His so arrogant," Freya was really fed up by his attitude as she looked at him.

---------------

1 hour later…

After enduring what felt like an agonizingly long hour in the tedious class on Elemental laws, Egon's mind was consumed by thoughts of how to shield himself from Leo's presence for the rest of the semester. The prospect of finally escaping the confines of the classroom brought a wave of relief, and Egon eagerly waited for the break to commence.

As soon as the bell rang, signaling the end of the class, Egon decided to make his way to the cafeteria discreetly, hoping to avoid any unnecessary encounters. He took a few brisk steps towards his destination before suddenly coming face to face with Leo, his heart sinking at the sight.

"Well, well, who do we have here? Isn't this the little Egon," Leo sneered, his tone dripping with mockery.

"Wow, you've grown quite big unlike those days. But your physique is useless, just as your visceral channel is."

Leo wasted no time in calling his friends, Ben, Ray, and Drake, to join in on the humiliation. They gathered around, relishing in the opportunity to belittle Egon further. Ray couldn't hide his surprise, exclaiming,

"Is he the kid you talked about? I thought you said he was small."

Leo, maintaining a façade of superiority, approached Egon to scrutinize if he had truly grown taller. The shock registered on Leo's face when he realized Egon now stood at equal height. Egon, keeping silent, endured their taunts and jabs, determined to avoid causing any trouble.

Making a beeline for the cafeteria door, Egon focused on removing himself from the situation. But in a sudden burst of aggression, Leo forcefully pushed Egon, causing him to stumble and brace himself against the door. With his arms outstretched, Egon desperately tried to regain balance, as the door creaked open slightly under the impact.

The entire cafeteria fell silent as Leo took the opportunity to assert his dominance. He bellowed,

"I didn't say you could leave. So, never try to stand up against me again!" Leo's words hung in the air, echoing through the astonished onlookers.

Although Freya had never particularly cared for Egon, witnessing him being bullied struck a chord within her. Rising from her seat, she confronted Leo directly, a mix of anger and concern etched upon her face.

"Hey, Leo! What's wrong with you? Why did you have to push him?"

A sly grin crept across Leo's face as he insinuated his previous assumptions. "Ah, I see what's going on. Now I kind of remember the guy who was in the viral video with you. So, it was you, trying to steal my girlfriend," he implied, his voice dripping with contempt.

"I'm not your girlfriend" Freya replied.

Leo, taken aback by the accusation, quickly retorted,

"I couldn't find the person who wanted to do that. I never even got a good look at his face. But I'm glad you approached me like this. At least my efforts won't be in vain anymore."

Fuelled by anger, Leo lunged forward, attempting to land a punch on Egon's face. In a breathtaking display of agility, Egon swiftly sidestepped the attack, effortlessly evading Leo's blow.

Seizing the opportunity, Egon swiftly caught Leo's outstretched arm, skillfully leveraging his strength and training.

With a powerful motion, Egon brought Leo down, sending him crashing to the floor with a resounding thud. The impact reverberated through the cafeteria as Leo's back collided with the hard surface.

Everyone in the cafeteria was shocked. Although, Paranormal Abilities were restricted in Landon Brooke Citadel, Leo had never lost in a had to hand combat before.

Freya, too was shocked by the scene that unfolded before her eyes.

She smiled, seeing Egon fend up for himself.

"Have you forgotten this school restricted everybody's ability. I might be a Languid, but I'm never weak when it comes to physical combat." Egon ended his statement.

He never wanted to fight at first, but they pushed him to his extreme. He wanted to exit the Cafeteria (Canteen).

A common smack down wouldn't be able to take down Leo that soon. Leo was ashamed of himself. He never believed that he would fall for Egon's trap.

Leo did a spiral up immediately and rose from the floor.

Egon was facing backwards when Leo launched a midair kick towards his temple.

Freya shouted,

"Watch out!"

Egon had undergone vigorous training methods from his Uncle. So, he had heightened senses that had signalled him that danger was coming.

He made a rotation instantly and gave Leo right in the midair a jump spin hook kick.

All Leo thought was that Egon's temple was vulnerable, so he let off his guard.

Leo wasn't expecting an instant kick to counter his. The height at which Egon landed the kick was surprising. Egon was able to leap at the exact height Leo was, and not only was it a fierce hit, it carried tremendous force.

It carried a tremendous force that sent Leo crashing at the wall.

Will Egon succeed in finishing off Leo?
