3rd person's POV
Minyoung had thought about what happened at the university after returning home, but for the whole night, sleep didn't come to her eyes. She just cried her heart out, but there's something else she's thinking about too.
She thought about what Daehyun had said in the afternoon. That's one of the things that keeps repeating in her mind. "And this is what I get from helping."
Sge keeps on convincing herself that she did nothing wrong and that Daehyun deserved that slap from her, but then again, it is not true. Because her conscience keeps on bucking her to tell her that it was her fault for pointing fingers at the older man, while the older man did nothing wrong this time and instead helped her while she misunderstood it for his other game.
She even realised that Daehyun still has
a heart, but one thing she just can't understand is why he would suddenly threaten her at first and then suddenly help her the second. The older woman was definitely confusing her.
Next morning at University
Min was spacing out while walking in the hallways, not noticing the figure.
whom she bumped into. She was about to
say sorry, but then realised that it was no
other than the person who has been on her mind the whole night, the only person she's been thinking about.
They met each other's gazes, but the older man ignored her as if she were not there and started walking his way to his class.
"Wait, Daehyun Hyung!" She called out and ran.
after him to face him, and to her surprise,
He smiled at her. They are in university after all.
"Why Minyoung? Do you need
something from me?" He asked, calling out her full name and not any pet name he used to call her, with such a dazzling smile plastered on his face, and she would've
believed that a fake smile was real if she didn't
know anything about the real Daehyun. Min
She rolled her eyes as she dragged him with her, ignoring the death glares she was getting from the students, or, to be specific, from his fan girls who were jealous of her because she was dragging the university prince with her as they passed by the crowd.
They decided to cut out the first few classes and went to this Saint Cafe again to talk, Min's
idea, of course. After ordering coffee,
For the both of them, she cleared her
purpose to him to not waste any more time.
"About yesterday, I apologised for slapping
you." Daehyun sipped on his iced
caramel cafechino while looking at her with a disinterested look on his face. No one
from their university was there, so he was
acting his normal self again.
"Whatever." Min tried to control herself.
for snapping at the annoying reply she received and continuing.
"'And thank you for warning me about
everything, even though I ignored it. Sorry
for misunderstanding your intentions before "
"Oh, that.." Again, that tone of voice that she
hates the most because it annoys her to the point she could actually beat the sh*t out of him.
"You know what? You have some wrong
ways of doing things. You could've just
warned me without coming off too bitchy.
or rude." He chuckled and smirked, then
leaned back on his chair while looking at Min.
with such amusement.
"But it's boring that way. Definitely not my
style." He put on a smug look that made
She wants to punch his face. But she tried to ignore him again.
"So as a thank you, I've thought about
"This was last night, and I will do it." Daehyun suddenly
looked at him now with a confused
expression like he doesn't get what she
was trying to pin point
"What?"
"I'll be your girlfriend." And Daehyun almost spits out the coffee he was drinking, hearing her.
He suddenly burst out laughing while
even holding his stomach. Min was
puzzled, not knowing what's so funny.
about what she said. Even the people from
around their table was giving them weird
looks because of him laughing like a mad man.
"Do you really think that I would want you?"
to be my girlfriend?" Min just blushed at his
question.
"But you're the one who asked me to!
It's not like I want it; I'm just trying to
help you since you told me you wanted to
"Get those who annoy you to stop!" Min currently
wants to dig her own grave and bury
herself because of the embarrassment she was feeling. Daehyun was the one who's been bugging her for days, and now the latter has made it sound as if she's the one who's obsessed with him!
Daehyun finally stopped laughing. "Well,
did ask you. But that's just for Plan B."
"What are you talking about?" Daehyun looked at her with pity and a bit of mocking in his eyes too.
"From the looks of you, you totally look
like someone who would kill themselves if
You got rejected, so I thought I would be
ready to keep you and be your temporary
boyfriend, if that means saving your life.
I'm just being nice, and if you thought that
If I really liked you, then no thanks. I'm not
interested in.." Daehyun scanned Minyoung,
from head to toe. "...someone like
you."
He was judging her black hoodie, which is way too big on her small body, and then her body frame, which is not noticeable at all because of it. And then to her close to bird nest-hair that
needs a lot of styling. After checking
Min inside out, he just sighed.
"Absolutely not," he continued as he
sipped on his coffee.
"What do you mean by that?" She asked,
unaware that she was being mocked and
offended.
"Nothing." Minyoung wasn't very confident.
person at all. She thinks that she lacks in
lot of things, especially her looks. Her
Her body is too average for her; she doesn't

doesn't know how to, but she simply
doesn't want to. Her face is too chubby.
for her too, and sometimes she is even conscious of how her voice sounds, even though she's been in the broadcasting club for all she knows since when.
Rethinking all of it, Min knew that
someone like Daehyun not liking her
was very acceptable. She knew what
lacks, but she can't help but be sad about it.
sometimes.
Daehyun noticed the pout that manages
to crawl on her face, and he can't help
but smile. "Is someone disappointed?"
Min looked at him with wide eyes.
"'m not! Why would I be disappointed in
You're not liking me! I'm very thankful! Ugh,

could stand up, he grabbed her.
arm.
"What now?" Min spat.
"You forgot to pay for my coffee. I ain't
paying for this since you're the one who
dragged me here." She got her money.
from her purse and placed it angrily on
their table while glaring at the latter.
"You're so petty."
"'Are you getting the pronunciations mixed?"
up? I thought I heard 'petty when it's
supposed to be pretty. He then
smiled and winked at Jimin mischievously.
"F*ck you!" Daehyun chuckled as he
leaned back on his chair.
"Awe, that would be boring. Can't I f*ck
you instead?" Min scoffed, and if she
could pick a fight with Daehyun in the cafe
where there are lots of people watching.
He would've done it a long time ago.
"Ooh, your silence—does that mean yes, Mochi?" And Min had lost it, so before she could make
a scene, she had already walked out of the cafe.
with stomping feet, leaving Daehyun, who began laughing his heart out.
''Oh, my mochi, you are so cute and easy to annoy, but anyway, I'm not letting you go from my grasp even if I say so," Daehyun said with a sick smile plastered on his face.
......
Hanbyul was in the corner of a building.
watching the people who are getting
out of the glass sliding door intently.
She's been waiting for at least fifty good
minutes in that far corner. When she finally
saw the person she'd been waiting for,
dialled a number on her phone.
"I am tailing Hiroshima Takasu at the
moment, Dad," she said over the phone.
"Need some backups?"
She chuckled, but she made sure to lower
down her voice so her target would not be missed from her side, and that's when she started to approach the man in the suit who was
puffing the stick of his cigarette, unaware
of the figure who was walking towards his
direction.
"You know I don't need that, dad."
"I'm just letting you get lazy, my dear daughter; I know you are capable of handling it alone."
After that was said, she rushed behind
the man's back with her phone still on her
left hand as she headlocked the man's
neck, giving him no time to struggle.
as she twists it, making a cracking sound.
When Byul felt the man stop struggling,
She let him fall to the ground, only to deal
with the men who just got out of the
building, killing them one by one with
her favourite silencer that has her name specially engraved on it, and that is the gift she got from her dad this Christmas.
She picked up her phone, which fell on the
floor in the process, getting her attention.
back to her dad, who was on the line waiting for his daughter to finish the task he had given her gracefully without any mistakes.
"You know how much I love my work, dad.
I can't let someone steal the thrill I get from
"This is so no thank you."
Mr. Park snickered from the other line,
feeling proud of his elder daughter.
"Now get the files in his office that we
might use. Leave his family a little
goodbye note from me too.
"Will do, dad."
