3rd person's POV
It was already 7:00 in the evening, and everyone was having tonnes of fun with the booths and food stalls. The area is filled with students wandering and playing around. Different yukatas are on display, as are traditional Japanese masks, and a
A lot of giggles and fun stories were heard from those who were enjoying the festival. Hanbyul can't help but smirk, thinking that she was the reason why their event turned out to be successful. Eun saw the latter smirking while he only smiled and shook his head.
"Could you hide that cocky smirk of yours? It was so obvious what you're thinking." Eun commented, and Byul glared with her beautiful eyes at him another time. "Why are you even here? The others began to play with themselves, so could you shoo yourself away? I'm trying to have a peaceful moment with myself.''
Hanbyul replied with her annoyed tone of voice, but the older woman's smile only grew wider. Eun leaned to the other's ears and whispered. "Wanna play with me then?" His voice sent shivers through Byul's body as the younger woman flinched and looked at her side, only to see Eun smiling playfully. This time, instead of glaring and staying mad, Byul gave him a sarcastic smile.
"Go fucking play with yourself." She continued, but still with a smile, until she rolled her eyes at him. Eun chuckled but still stayed beside Byul in that old tree; he was having fun. Byul's mad face always makes his day, so he can't complain. And then Eun's attention focused on that specific stall where there were two people—let's rephrase that—idiots who were playing some ring toss game like their lives depended on it. He was referring to the maknae's Minyoung and Daehyun. To be honest, Eun had never seen Daehyun that serious before when playing random games.
...........................................
It was Minyoung's fifth and last ring to toss. So far, she has succeeded in putting two rings in those poles, and she only needed one to get the prize she wanted. On the other hand, Daehyun, who was by her side, had also managed to put on two rings.
Minyoung felt competitive; the purple teddy bear that she wanted was only one, so she wasn't really sure if Daehyun was planning to get that too. God knows for whom though, so she had to be fast or she would lose the teddy to him.
"You won't be able to shoot it shorty mochi; with your short, chubby arms, it's nearly impossible." Daehyun commented almost as a whisper since students were gathering around them looking at the game they were playing—gawking at them, to be specific. Minyoung scoffed at the comment, but she chose to ignore it for the moment because she wouldn't let it get to her. She focused on the poles where she would toss her ring. She had to shoot her last ring. So she breathed in and out, and then she tossed it.
"Woah! I got it! I got it! I can't believe I got it!" She jumped and squealed in excitement; she couldn't believe that she would actually succeed in getting what she wanted. She suddenly smirked and called the attention of the student who was
handling the ring toss stall. "I want the teddy bear, please!" Minyoung said excitedly, but to her dismay, "Oh, I'm sorry, but...he already has it." The student pointed out to Minyoung's side, and when she looked over her shoulder, there stood Daehyun behind her, licking some lollipop with the purple teddy bear in his arm, grinning at her.
Sorry, Minnie, I didn't know you wanted this too." Daehyun used the pet name for her and said it with fake sadness and a pout as he continued sucking his lollipop. She was boiling inside. Of course, she knew that he knew that she liked that teddy bear; that's why he chose that one!
Students, mostly girls, congratulated Jungkook, saying that he did well. But the worst part is that Daehyun gave the teddy bear to a random girl who literally almost fainted from receiving a gift from their handsome heartthrob. Who knows what she'll do with that teddy bear that he gave her?Watching the scene, she couldn't believe her eyes; her mouth hanged open in disbelief.
"Excuse me, Sir, what do you want as your prize again?" The student from the ring toss asked. Although it's not his fault that Daehyun first won, Minyoung still glared at the poor boy, giving the latter a shock. "Nothing. And you know what? This ring toss isn't even interesting!" She snapped and began walking away, huffing. She was boiling with anger.
"Sucks to be a loser, right?" Minyoung didn't know that Daehyun followed her, but she didn't give two fucks now. She was pissed! And needed Some relief from stress, So she went straight to the shooting game with those toy soldiers in line. "Annyeonghaseyo, wanna play?"
"I will play." Minyoung said coldly, bringing her money to the counter and quickly grabbing the toy gun.
"And he would too." She looked at the confused Daehyun at her side. Now she was confident. She is good at this game since she always played it with her sister at amusement parks when they were little. At least she knows how to shoot properly.
"O..kay?" Daehyun sucked his lollipop and began grabbing one of the toy guns as well. He wasn't confident at all. Sure, he knows how to play shooting games at arcades, but holding a toy gun might be a different experience. He just wished himself luck.
A minute or two had passed, and out of all the ten pellets they had shot, Daehyun managed to shoot five, while Minyoung managed to shoot eight, which surprised the older. Minyoung is good at this game. "Sucks to be a loser, right, Daehyun Hyung?" She retorted, getting back at him, who still had his eyes wide open.
Daehyun was about to say something when Kwan, Hana, and Seojun, who were already tired of playing in some booths earlier, approached them. Kwan is eating his candy apple while Hana is chewing some coloured rice cakes she bought.
"Minnie, this is for you." Seojun gave the younger boy the other candy apple he bought besides his own. He thought about giving it to her the moment he saw the sweet snack, so he decided to buy two. She blushed at the touching action Seojun took. She reached for the candy apple and gave him a shy smile.
"Thank you, Seojun-hyung." Seojun smiled back, scratching the back of his neck. Although Minyoung knew that she shouldn't expect anymore since she already heard him not liking anyone at the moment, she still couldn't help but feel butterflies whenever Seojun was around. She liked him for a year silently, so maybe that's why she can't just let go that easily.
While Hana and Kwan are busy in their own world eating their own foods, Daehyun was just looking at the two individuals, Minyoung and Seojun, sternly. His eyebrows furrowed on their own as his tongue poked the inside of his cheek.
"This candy apple is so sweet, Daehyun." Kwan said while licking his candy apple, not knowing what Daehyun was looking at at the moment. Daehyun then looked at Kwan with a smile. "I am sorry, but I hate candy apples."
(9:00 pm, Principal's office)
Mr. Choi was looking out his window, enjoying the view of the festival outside the school. He was smiling at the successful event the business and Marketing club managed to pull off. Mr. Choi drank his coffee from his hand as he looked up at the dark sky, which would
soon be filled with a fireworks display for the main event of the festival. He was peacefully breathing in the air, not knowing that there was a dark figure behind him, already waiting in the corner of his room.
The figure took this chance to pull out the shiny thing he had on his back as he moved closer to Mr. Choi. He was being careful not to create any noise to make his task easier. He grinned at the
tall figure of the principal, who doesn't even know what awaits him at the moment.
Mr. Choi felt some presence over his back, but when he looked over his shoulder, it was too late. The coffee he was drinking spilled on the white marble floor, along with the shattered coffee mug. He began to fight for his unsteady breathing as he gripped the black figure's hand.
"Shhh, it's fine, it's fine." The figure said as he chuckled, digging the knife deeper into the almost lifeless body's abdomen in front of him. He placed his left hand on Mr. Choi's shoulder as he deepened the knife once again.
"W-Ww...hy..." Mr. Choi managed to say this as blood gushed out of his mouth along with the blood that was staining his shirt. The figure didn't say anything; instead, he turned the knife, which made a slushy sound, and that was enough to take the life of the poor principal that was now
on the floor. He didn't even pull out the knife, as he believed that it would be better that way.
"Look at you." The fiqure smirked as he looked down on the art he believed he had made. "All beautifully styled up with my knife. It looks good on you, by the way."
