3rd person's POV
When Eun followed Hanbyul inside the girl's restroom, he silently and immediately locked the door behind him. He slowly turned around and saw that Byul was in the sink, cleaning the part of her shirt that was slightly stained with blood. Byul saw Eun's reflection in the mirror, so she rolled her eyes at him and gave him a glare and stern look as she continued to do what she was doing.
"If you are here to f***ing annoy me,"
"Quit the crap; no one's here except us." Hanbyul closed the tap and patted her hands dry with the tissue. She then looked at Eun with a full blank stare direct into his eyes as she rested back on the counter of the sink, crossing her arms savagely even if it hurts her stomach.
"So are you just going to stand there and do nothing?" Eun smirked, and he soon closed their gap within seconds, grabbing his girlfriend's cheeks to give the latter a hungry kiss which he surely missed a lot carved for .
Byul pulled him towards her and wrapped her arms around the older man's neck tightly while Eun's hands found their way to the younger women's waist harshly. They were kissing each other, roughly and passionately loving the very feeling it was sending them throughout their bodies.
"God, I missed you so much." Byul said in between their kisses, almost in a huff, as Eun smiled fondly, looking at her with love-filled eyes , full of admiration and fondness.
"Me too love . You don't know how much control I keep just to force myself not to kiss you in front of them." He admitted that as he continued kissing his girlfriend, not wanting to end it too soon for them to part . But when his hand travelled up the younger once's shirt, she hissed at the painful sensation earning Eun's attention immediately to it .
"Why?" he asked , Hanbyul slowly lifted her shirt up halfway, revealing a patched wound on the left side of her navel. Eun knew very well where she got that cut from.
They have the same job after all.
Choi Eun is 26 years old. He is a few months older than Hanbyul; he was a street boy who happened to have the audacity to steal from Mr. Park. Mr. Park knew well that the boy didn't know what he was doing as a teenager at the time, so he kept and trained him to be his secret tracker instead. Eun is very smart, and he knew his way around things, which is why he was assigned to be Byul's partner in crime later on by Byul herself. They started as partners just eight years ago, until there lust consumed them , which turned into love, took over them. They both make a great team.
And like Hanbyul, who vowed to protect her family, especially her little sister, Eun was specialy tasked by Mr. Park to look out and not only protect Minyoung but also Hanbyul if some serious situation arose. Though for a fact that Hanbyul can protect herself but still he is assigned to protect them both .If Hanbyul protects Minyoung in daylight, Eun is more like Min's shadow, following the girl wherever she goes just to make her safe, as other Mafia clans can hurt her anywhere as she is their weak point after all.
Min might have never noticed, but Eun is there with her all the time, pretending to be Byul's enemy. They are not planning to tell Min either, not liking the idea of her getting paranoid if she knew that someone was watching her 24/7.
Eun caressed Byul's patched-up wound on the navel as he removed it, showing a slightly bigger and deeper knife cut in it.
"Mr. Choi must have fought for his life, but too bad because my girlfriend has good killing skills." Eun chuckled.
While Hanbyul was assigned to take care of Mr. Choi, Eun's job was to distract everyone and be the alibi himself so she wouldn't be suspected. And that explains why he defended her from Kwan earlier.
"But that's what I wanted to tell you, Eun-ah." Silence fell between them, and Eun somehow sensed that something wasn't right.
"I'm not the one who killed him."
(Earlier that festival night, 8:25 PM)
Byul was starting out with their plan right now. She checked the whole area to make sure that no one was wandering around the university building. It was the timing she was waiting for, as every student would be outside enjoying the festival.
She needed to make Mr. Choi spill the beans. She just talked to her dad this morning, and some news they got had something to do with their principal. Mr. Choi knew something about the case they've been handling for years.
She was shocked that someone like Mr. Coi would be involved in the case. But like her dad had always told her, ' you won't always know who your real enemy is'.
Byul wasn't planning to kill Mr. Choi; she was just sent to take some information that would help them. Mr. Choi has something that they need.
Eun was already on the lookout for anyone who would dare go inside the school grounds.
Byul wore her mask and her black hand gloves, ready to go straight into the office of their principal. She only has about fifteen to twenty minutes to finish her job since the fireworks will soon start, and she can't risk taking too long since the others could get suspicions if ever something goes wrong. For example, if ever she needs to kill Mr. Choi,
She was already just a few steps closer to the office when she felt a presence behind her. But when she looked back, she was already late, as someone rushed to her side and stabbed her on her left side. She was still lucky that her reflex was a bit faster, or else the knife might have gotten much deeper in her flesh than it already was.
She heard the knife getting slashed out of her as the figure moved upstairs, leaving her on the floor. She felt her vision getting blurry; her legs and body felt weak, but she somehow managed to still cup the wound on her side and go upstairs limping.
It took her a lot of time to get to the office, and when she did, Mr. Choi's body was already hanging by the window. Her eyes widened, feeling her breathing getting faster. Now she doesn't have any time! It would only take a little while for someone to see the dead figure.
She felt her adrenaline working as she hurriedly went downstairs, patching up her wound with a handkerchief she had on her in the process. She made sure that not a single drop of blood would drip out of her, meeting Eun downstairs in a hurry.
They met and talked with the others like nothing happened, concealing the fact that their mission failed because of a certain jackass who ruined it. She was also the first one to climb up the stairs to avoid further questions and speculations, not knowing that her own sister was already getting curious about her.
"Someone knew about our plan, Eun, and he/she was the one who killed Mr. Choi."
......
Eun and Hanbyul went back to Min's room after, making sure that her wounds were still covered. Kwan apologised immediately to Eun for saying such a thing, although he was told not to say anything to Byul because it would only hurt the older women
Though Minyoung wants to talk to her sister alone, she still can't find the urge to do it. She was scared of what answers she would get from her older sister. She remembered the first time she knew the truth about her sister's and her father's real business, and now, all over, she was scared to be in the same pain again.
Suddenly, Byul's phone vibrated, the caller's name visible.
"Minnie I need to answer this, okay? I'll come back." She smiled, ruffling her sister's hair before she went out.
She walked out of the hallway to head outside the garden of the hospital, where no one could hear her conversation.
"Yes, Dad?"
She had already told him about Minyoung getting into the hospital just a few minutes ago, so she knew why her dad was calling.
"How's my younger daughter?"Do I need to come there?"
"No need, dad; I'm taking care of her."
"When would she get to go home with you?"
"I've already talked to the nurse, and she said that we could leave later if we wanted to since there's no hard impact on her head.'
She sighed, not liking what she was about to say, but she couldn't just keep it to herself. Dad needs to know this .
"And Dad, I think we have an enemy inside too."
