Chapter 20 - Rocky and Lorena

Lorena was enjoying the festivities at the Carnival when she stumbled upon Rocky, a girl dressed in a dazzling costume. They struck up a conversation and quickly hit it off, laughing and joking around as they explored the different attractions.

Meanwhile, Vasily and Miguel were in a tense meeting with James, discussing the ongoing battle for Washington D.C. The Confederate forces were close to victory, but the Union army had a new weapon up their sleeve: poison gas.

As they discussed the potential impact of this deadly weapon, Henry and Rocky were having a great time together, dancing and enjoying the Carnival. But their fun was cut short when Lorena and Miguel appeared on the scene.

Their mission was to capture Rocky and a fierce fight broke out between her and Lorena. They both had Brown Bess muskets and fought with bayonets attached to the barrels.Rocky and Lorena stood facing each other, their Brown Bess muskets at the ready. They both knew that this was a fight to the death, and they were determined to come out on top.

Lorena lunged forward, her bayonet aimed straight at Rocky's chest. But Rocky was quick, sidestepping the attack and retaliating with a swift strike of her own. The two women circled each other warily, looking for an opening in their opponent's defenses.

As they traded blows, the sound of metal clashing against metal echoed through the air. The crowd around them had scattered, leaving the two women to fight in a small clearing amidst the chaos of the Carnival.

Lorena tried to gain the upper hand by feinting with her musket, but Rocky was too quick for her. She saw through the ruse and countered with a powerful thrust that sent Lorena staggering backwards.

But Lorena was not so easily defeated. She regained her balance and came at Rocky with renewed vigor. The two women clashed again and again, their bayonets scraping against each other in a deadly dance.

The fight continued for what seemed like hours, neither woman giving ground to the other. Sweat poured down their faces, and their arms ached from the strain of holding their muskets aloft.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Lorena saw her chance. Rocky had let her guard down for just a moment, and Lorena seized the opportunity to strike. Her bayonet plunged into Rocky's shoulder, and the younger woman cried out in pain.
