Mr. James, the benevolent plantation owner, promptly and willingly acquiesced to Henry's request to transfer ownership of the slave known as Rocky, and I hastily made my way to her cell to retrieve her papers. After securing the necessary documentation, I made a mental note to gather some supplies to aid in my search for Elizabeth, Mr. James' beloved daughter who had been missing for some time. With a nod of approval from Mr. James, I proceeded to don the new uniform provided to me by the Confederacy. Rocky's heart swelled with happiness she see Henry. as she hugged Henry tightly. She had toiled away in the sweltering cotton fields for what felt like an eternity, and the sight of Henry was a welcome respite from the backbreaking labor.
As she looked up at him, her eyes lit up with anticipation. She knew that Henry had a surprise for her, and she couldn't wait to hear what it was.
"Rocky," Henry said, his voice filled with excitement. "I made a deal with Mr. James. You belong to me now."
Rocky's heart leapt with joy at the words. She couldn't believe it. Finally, after years of hard work and struggle, she belonged to someone who cared for her. She threw her arms around Henry, hugging him tightly as tears streamed down her face.
"Thank you, Henry!" she said, her voice choked with emotion. As Rocky embraced Henry in a warm hug, she couldn't help but feel the sharp pain of the wound she had inflicted upon him under the command of her master, James, as a form of punishment. The memory of that moment filled her with guilt and sorrow, and she knew she had to make amends for her actions.
With a heavy heart, she mustered the courage to apologize to her beloved, uttering the heartfelt words, "My love, I am deeply sorry for the pain I have caused you."
Henry held her close, his arms wrapped tightly around her. He could feel the weight of her sorrow and the depth of her remorse. He knew that she must have been hurting too, forced to do something that went against her own beliefs and values.
"It's okay, Rocky. I forgive you," Henry said, his voice gentle and reassuring.
Rocky pulled back slightly, looking up at him with tear-filled eyes. "But I don't deserve your forgiveness. I hurt you, and I can't undo that."
Henry cupped her face in his hands, wiping away her tears with his thumbs. "You made a mistake, Rocky. We all do. What's important is that you take responsibility for your actions and try to make things right."
Rocky nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She had been carrying this burden for too long, and it felt good to finally confess her wrongdoing and seek forgiveness.
"I will do whatever it takes to make it up to you," Rocky said, determination in her voice.
Henry smiled, pulling her close again. "You don't have to do anything, Rocky. Just being here with me, loving me, that's enough."
Rocky smiled through her tears, feeling grateful for Henry's unconditional love and forgiveness. She knew that she had a long way to go to make up for her mistake, but with Henry by her side, she felt confident. After receiving a new mission to rescue Mr. James' daughter, who was taken by the Egyptians, we must now embark on a perilous journey to ensure her safe return. As Rocky pondered the logistics of the mission, he questioned why Vasily was not sent to carry out the task. However, it was revealed that Vasily had already been dispatched, but sadly, he never returned. In light of this unfortunate news, Rocky turned to Henry and sought his opinion on the matter, to which she responded with a nod of agreement and a firm declaration of their determination to accomplish the mission.
