Rocky finish off Lorena with her brown Bess musket bayonet run through her throat. Lorena was coughing blood out and her last thoughts were about Miguel. Rocky took off the bayonet now covered with her blood dropping off. Her body fell limp on the floor. As they looked out at the sunset, Lorena's mind drifted back to the day they first met, when Miguel was just a young boy.
Miguel had Asperger's syndrome, and he was often the target of bullies in the streets. But Lorena had taken him under her wing, protecting him from harm and teaching him how to defend himself.
As they grew closer, Lorena realized that Miguel had never learned to talk or write. He was a lost cause, with no parents or family to guide him. But Lorena refused to give up on him.
She worked tirelessly to help Miguel learn how to communicate, using every trick in the book to get him to speak and write. And slowly but surely, Miguel began to open up to her, sharing his hopes and dreams for the future.
As they sat together on the grass, Lorena asked Miguel about those dreams. "Do you remember when we used to talk about what we wanted to be when we grew up?" she asked.
Miguel nodded, a small smile on his face. "I wanted to be a scientist," he said softly. "I always loved looking at the stars and wondering about the mysteries of the universe."
Lorena smiled, remembering those long conversations they used to have, sitting on the roof of an abandoned building and gazing up at the sky. "And I wanted to be a soldier," she said. "I wanted to fight for what was right and protect the people I loved."
Miguel looked at her, his eyes shining with admiration. "You still do that, Lorena," he said. "You fight for what's right every day, just by being who you are."were you merry me ?. Lorena's heart skipped a beat as she held Miguel's hat in her hands. She had known Miguel since they were children, and she had always admired his courage and kindness. But she had never expected him to propose to her like this.
She looked up at him, her eyes searching his face for any sign of doubt or hesitation. But all she saw was love and determination.
"Marry you?" she repeated, her voice barely above a whisper. "I...I don't know, Miguel. We've been friends for so long, and I value our friendship more than anything else in the world. I don't want to risk losing that."
Miguel's expression softened. "I understand, Lorena," he said. "But I can't help how I feel about you. I've loved you for as long as I can remember, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you."
Lorena felt a wave of emotion wash over her. She had always known that Miguel cared for her deeply, but she had never realized just how much until this moment.
She looked down at the hat in her hands, turning it over and over as she considered Miguel's proposal. She knew that marrying him would mean leaving behind the life she had always known, and embarking on a new journey with him. But she also knew that Miguel was a good man, and that he would always support her in whatever she chose to do.
Finally, she looked up at him and smiled. "Yes, Miguel," she said. "I will marry you."
Miguel's face lit up with joy. He took the hat from Lorena's hands and placed it back on his head. Lorena's body fell limp on the floor, but her smile remained.
