Chapter 16 - Vasily VS Rocky

Vasily lifted his Berdan 2 rifle, aiming it directly at Rocky. She didn't flinch, instead clutching her own weapon even tighter. The tension in the air was palpable as the two adversaries faced off, each ready to use their weapon if necessary.

Henry, who was tied up and helpless, watched the scene unfold with fear in his eyes. He knew that if Rocky didn't act quickly, Vasily would shoot her without remorse.

Suddenly, there was a loud bang as Rocky fired her musket. The shot narrowly missed Vasily's ear, causing him to flinch and momentarily lose his focus. Seizing the opportunity, Rocky lunged forward and tackled him to the ground.

Vasily struggled to free himself, but Rocky had the upper hand. She pinned him down with her knee and held her musket to his head, ready to pull the trigger if he tried anything.

"Stay down," she growled, her eyes flashing with anger. "If you try to hurt Henry or me again, I won't hesitate to shoot you."

Vasily glared at her, but he knew he had been defeated. He slowly nodded his head, indicating that he wouldn't cause any further trouble.

Rocky released him and stood up, still holding her musket at the ready. She untied Henry and helped him to his feet, making sure he was unharmed.

"Are you okay, Henry?" she asked, her voice softening.

He nodded, still shaken from the ordeal. "

Rocky smiled, Vasily climbed onto his horse, feeling a mix of anger and defeat. He glared at the woman in front of him, but deep down he knew that she had won this round. He slowly nodded his head, indicating that he wouldn't cause any further trouble.

As he turned to ride away, he reached for the Whitworth rifle that he had taken from Henry earlier. He knew that he had no right to keep it, and he silently handed it back to the young man.

"I give you a warning," Vasily said, his voice low and threatening. "James has hired a Mexican spearman, the best horseman in the world, to get back Rocky from you."

Henry's eyes widened in surprise and fear. He had heard of the Mexican spearman unit.
