Chapter 26 - CHAPTER 26 - Jiang Group Corporation’s new CEO - part 2

However, they never would have expected Jiang XinYan to attack so lethally. It was as if once she latched onto something she would not let go.

An hour later, an announcement was released upon Jiang Group Corporation forum. It listed the people that had solicited money from the company.

In the end, Jiang XinYan ended up calling the police to escort those same people to be questioned. Such a scandal attracted many reporters to the company.

However, Jiang XinYan did not entertain these reporters and news outlets. She simply stayed in her office carefreely eating her lunch as if there was not chaos occurring downstairs. She had already informed the head of PR department and told her to reiterate her statements.

The truth was revealed with no embellishments. Jiang XinYan was not lying when she promised authenticity. This meant even with the public.

However, those senior directors and subordinates were merely bait. The people behind them were the ones she was targeting. For these minions to be so daring at embezzling money from the company, they had to be backed up by a stronger force.

Jiang XinYan knew the senior directors were loyal to the people behind them. However, those subordinates below them were not. In that meeting, not all of them had scowled at her. As an observer she had saw the nervousness of those subordinates.

Jiang XinYan could guess that a little bit pressure will make them crack. Involving the police was just a stroke to make them confess.

Surprisingly she was not called into a meeting by the board of directors as she had expected. She guessed those people behind the money laundering were panicking and did not want to make hasty actions.

Hao. Jiang XinYan thought. I have all the patience. If not today, sooner or later your cloak will be shed.

What she had provided those senior directors and subordinates was merely crumbs of the truth. The information she had contained files of years of corruption.

It even concluded all the bank transfers and CCTV footage of those people withdrawing money from those transfers. All tracing back those three members of the board of directors.

The people she was targeting were; Wu Shang and Yang LiPi, who each had 3% of shares. They both had a secret connection to her final bait, Zhao JianBo.

Zhao JianBo could be said to be her uncle. He was her father's cousin and Chairman Jiang's nephew. He belonged to the Zhao Family and his mother was her grand aunt, Jiang MoRan. The Zhao family in total had 15% shares of the corporation.

Jiang XinYan decided to call the person who helped her collect all the CCTV footages.

"Yang Yang, you really helped me big time. The bait has been laid, now just waiting for the mantis to take a bite."

Far from the mainland in Eastern Europe, a young man smiled as soon as he heard her voice. He sat in a dark room with three computer monitors being the main source of light in the darkness.

This backdrop of light danced around his beautiful features, although he wore huge baggy clothes to hide these features.

This young man was none other than Chu Yang, the youngest son of the Chu Family.

The Chu family owned teleportation companies that were very successful. And since they were a budding conglomerate corporation, they were also among the top wealthiest families in the whole country.

Although they were not based in Z city, they were affiliated with the Jiang Family.

Currently the Chu corporation was run by Chairman Chu who was notorious for being a womaniser back in his hay days. He had five children all with different mothers with the exception of the youngest fraternal twins Chu Yang and Chu YingZi from his current wife.

Jiang XinYan had become friends with both twins during her time abroad. She had met Chu Yang first and then Chu YingZi through Chu Yang when she visited him.

Chu Yang had run away from home, not wanting to vie for the business shares with his competitive older brothers. His passion was mostly computing and hacking.

Chu YingZi was the only person who knew where he was. As the only daughter of the Chu Family, she had clicked with Jiang XinYan, and they became best friends instantly.

At that time Chu YingZi had been a budding actress that was trying to make a breakthrough in the West. However, she soon gave up due to the difficulties she faced and returned home earlier.

Currently she was in X city still pursuing her passion for the entertainment industry despite her parents' wishes.

"XinYan, what help? I merely provided you with proof, you're the oriole behind everything." Chu Yang laughed on the other end.

Jiang XinYan smirked at the praise then thinking of him being alone abroad, began to frown.

"Yang Yang, are you really not going to take my offer? I already have the perfect spot for you at Jiang Group Corporation. If it's your brothers you're worried about, I can protect you."

"XinYan, you just got into office, protect me with what? You're still dealing with your own set of people at your end."

Jiang XinYan sighed knowing he was brushing it off.

"It's up to you. My offer will still stand whenever you change your mind."

"Just give me time alright. I told you before I need to at least be successful here before returning. I need to prove to that old man that I don't need him."

"Alright, don't be stranger. Call me from time to time. And get out of that house please. Your skin needs vitamin D too. Stay safe.

"Yes, I know. Why do you and YingZi love nagging me all time!" He rolled his eyes.

"Let us worry about you in peace, ah!"

Chu Yang sighed. "Remember I told you that if you keep worrying about me like this, then my feelings for you will continue to grow," his voice suddenly took a flirtatious turn.

"Get lost! I'm hanging up!"

Jiang XinYan was hearing his laugh when she quickly cut the call frustratingly. She knew that Chu Yang loved to joke about his feelings for her.

However, although she herself was a major flirt, flirting with Chu Yang never felt right with her. Although they were the same age. She always viewed him as her younger brother to be taken care of.

Talking with Chu Yang suddenly made her think about Chu YingZi. Jiang XinYan knew that the number one actress had a busy schedule but to not return her calls even once since she returned to the country. Jiang XinYan felt a little hurt.

Once again, she dialled Chu YingZi's phone number, only to be met with the automated voicemail.

She frustratingly placed her phone away, sighing once more before she got back to work.
