Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 - six months comatose

"Chairman Jiang, please return home. It's not good to stay so long in the hospital environment."

Once again Chairman Jiang glared at Doctor Lian in reproach.

Doctor Lian sighed in helplessness. He understood that to displease Chairman Jiang right now meant death.

However, what was he to do?

It was all out of his hands and control. It had been ten days since his granddaughter was hospitalised and to this day she has yet to awaken.

Chairman Jiang was restless. He had just discovered his long-lost granddaughter and yet the state she was in was unforgivable. To this day there was still no news of where she has been and how she got those injuries.

It was as if she appeared from thin air with scars depicting of another life.

The little information he attained was that she went by the name Yan Yan. She had no friends or family, for no one had yet to report her missing or inquire about her whereabouts.

Knowing this made Chairman Jiang feel a heartache like no other.

From the little information his investigators had attained, it said that she lost her mother when she was twelve years old. Before then they had moved from one place to another, never settling.

It could only be because of money and because that woman never wanted to be found by Chairman Jiang's son.

Chairman Jiang could only heartbreakingly imagine how hard of a lonely life his only granddaughter must have lived.

After her mother's death she was brought into an orphanage. She grew up in that orphanage and was never adopted. After turning fourteen, she worked many part-time jobs while also attending school.

Surprising her grades were excellent. She had maintained the top 3 position of all her classes in the whole alumni despite her circumstances. Chairman Jiang could only proudly think how it was his genes to have made her so smart.

After she started earning money from her part time work, She would donate some of it every month to the orphanage. She had been a fixer-upper in that orphanage. Everyone relied on her because she was able to do everything and fix it all.

After turning eighteen it was said she's stopped living in the orphanage, she moved in with her friend who unfortunately later died died due to a terminal illness. There was no other information on her whereabouts and what she did after that.

Because his granddaughter had inherited her mother and father's beauty, Chairman Jiang could only wonder where she had ended up just to earn a living.

Despite this being a possibility and the fact that she lost her child in the process at tender age of twenty, Chairman Jiang still loved his granddaughter unconditionally.

No matter what had happened and where she had been these last two years, he vowed to himself that as soon as she woke up, he will protect her with all he had.

He would make her shine brighter than the life she knew before. He will make her befitting of his Jiang family name. And he believed with all his heart that she was destined for great things.
