LEAH'S POV
"That's beautiful, Leah. Now give me something cute," the cameraman yelled as I strike different poses, wearing a blue gown from the new fashion line that the Empire fashion house would be launching soon under the bright light of the studio as 7rings by Ariana Grande played in the background.
"Gorgeous. Now give me something sexy." He moved around to get the picture from different angles.
Opening the slit of the blue gown I wore, I stuck my bare legs out and give him a seductive smile.
"Enchanting." He laughed as he kept taking more pictures.
We were at it for three hours because I had to take more pictures in another five outfits. The job of a model can be stressful and time-taking but I wasn't complaining because I loved the fame and money that came with it.
"Okay, that's a wrap," the company's managing director said after I'd taken pictures with the last outfit. "Good job everyone, especially you Leah."
"Thanks, Mr Cedric." I smiled at him as I went back into the changing room.
After I changed back into my clothes, I sat in front of the mirror to give my makeup a little touch. When I was done, my assistant, Shirley came in with a bottle of cold drink and I took it from her, downing it in three gulps.
"Do I have any appointment for lunch today?" I asked.
She took out her phone to check my schedule. "You don't have any other appointment today."
"Is that so?" I smiled as I remembered that a got a card from a certain Prince last night.
She nodded as I motioned for her to get me my bag. When she handed it to me, I shuffled the bag for the card. I found it and punched the number written on it on my phone.
Placing the phone on my ear, I crossed my fingers for him to pick up the call but he didn't. I tried not to get discouraged and tried calling again but to my surprise, he answered it.
"Hello, who is this?" His sexy deep voice sounded through the phone.
"It's Leah Knight, you gave me your card last night," I replied feeling giddy inside.
"Oh, how can I help you?"
"I was wondering if you would like to grab lunch with me, that's if you are not too busy." I bit my fingers, praying that he agrees to hang out with me.
"Sure, I would love to," he replied.
"For real?" My eyes widened.
"Yes."
"Um, there's this restaurant near my dad's company, they serve amazing dishes. Can we meet there?"
"Sure."
"Okay, I'll be there in ten minutes," I said and he hung up.
I squealed as I jumped in my seat. Standing up from my seat, I turned to Shirley who was giving me a confused look. "Guess who just got herself a lunch date with the Spanish Prince?"
"You mean Prince Estefan?" She asked and I nodded. "But people say he's as cold as ice and has never been seen with any girl, talkless of dating one."
"That's because those other girls are not Leah Knight. I mean, look at me, who in their right mind would say no to this?" I cat-walked around the room, motioning my hand down my body.
"Yes, you're right." She smiled. "I guess you better be on your way now if you don't want to keep the prince waiting."
"That's right." I grabbed my bag and walked toward the door. "Bye."
"Bye, and have fun," she yelled after me as I exited the room.
Just when I was about to walk out of the company building, I was stopped by a familiar voice calling my name.
"Leah, wait up."
I turned around to see Mr Cedric jogging toward me. "Mr Cedric, what can I do for you?"
"You don't have to be formal when we are alone. Just call me Nathan." He flashed me a smile as his honey-brown eyes raked my body with lust.
One of the problems of being a model is.
"Okay. So why did you stop me?"
"Oh yes, I just wanted to tell you did a great job today," he scratched his neck. "You know, from the moment I set my eyes on you, I couldn't ignore your talent and beauty that's why I did everything in my power to make sure you got the deal with the Empire fashion house."
"Oh really?" I raised my eyebrows at him.
"Of course." He nodded. "The other directors wanted someone else to do it but I managed to convince the CEO that you are perfect for the job and I'm very happy you didn't fail my trust in you."
It was obvious he wanted something from me with all the bragging and self-praise; they all do. They would always pull the 'I got you the deal for you' card to make me feel like I owed them. Back then when I was still a novice, I used to fall for it but not anymore. I was way more than that.
"Thank you, Mr Cedric, I mean Nathan." I forced a smile. "Is that all you wanted to tell me?"
"There's one more thing." He swept his hair back as he stepped closer. "I was wondering if you would like to have lunch with me, so we can get to know each other more."
Mr Cedric was a good-looking guy, I wouldn't deny that. The way he swept his dark hair back with his hand and lick his pink lips with the seductive look in his eyes was enough to make any girl go crazy, and on a normal day I would have entertained him but he came at the wrong time because I had my eyes on a certain Prince.
"I'm sorry, Nathan but I have an appointment. Maybe some other time." I flashed him a smile.
"What about tomorrow?" He pushed.
"I have a tight schedule tomorrow. See you later." I turned and walked out the door.
Time to meet my prince charming.
