As those words were spoken into existence the temple let out a dull mechanical hum as hazy purple mist exploded out, from the temple's highest point, cascading down and dyeing the world in its mysterious light.
This mist lingered for only a few seconds before dissipating, but the transformation left in its wake was a sight to behold.
As if time itself gave way to the mist, everything it touched seemed to have time rewound.
Adrian's tear-stained face looked haggard as he looked around noticing the magnificent world that was hidden by the chains of time and self-loathing.
The once small stream Adrian had woken up by was infected by the purple mist as it transformed, as if the stream became a torrential purple ocean it consumed the world leaving only the temple and a small island it sat on.
The once gray decayed ground around the temple had life spring forth in the form of vibrant azure grass, the blank monochromatic sky was replaced with an expansive midnight sky as two moons illuminated the world below.
The temple itself that had its collapsed remains fell into a sinkhole hiding its true grand visage now towards above the world as if it had stood tall from the beginning of time.
The towering temple was no longer the broken dilapidated building it once was as it now was covered in an unknown black metal that seemed to be alive, repairing itself leaving only odd runes across its surface which allowed purple mist to flow into the ocean below.
Watching the complete transformation of a world that represented who Adrian was, Dee couldn't help but cry, whispering, "Deddy, is finally back… I… We have missed you."
Fue and Qi who had been silent the entire time were now going crazy as they never had the ability to enter spiritual worlds, much less spiritual pantheons, when Adrian was still alive.
Seeing the world change so much from his realization Adrian couldn't help but think about how truly broken he had been and still is, however, he also realized that this was an important step forward.
Casting one last look down at the vibrant world from his newly elevated position halfway to the temple's highest central chamber he muttered, "Beautiful."
After saying that Adrian turned around gazing at the hundreds of steps he would have to climb to reach the top Adrian smirked before confidently stepping forward.
After another few minutes, Adrian finally reached the central chamber at the peak of this world, only to find a familiar face or lack thereof.
If this was Adrian 30 minutes prior he would have had deep immense hatred for this personality of his as Zero had always done his best to be hated by Adrian phrasing his every word for that express purpose, while he was the one who worried about Adrian the most.
One minute earlier…
Zero, having failed to reform, was sent back into the pantheon appearing on a void-like throne adorned with shield-like runes representing his purpose.
Having just appeared, Zero felt lethargic as he turned his head, calling out, "Guys, who want to take this problem."
His words were only met with silence causing him to quickly remember he was the only one awake currently.
As the severity of his situation dawned on him a silver screen appeared in his vision, startling him as this screen had disappeared long ago during the fight with the Monster Lord.
Regaining his composer Adrian stepped into the temple's peak.
Zero braised himself in preparation for the hatred he would receive, while also preparing his acting skills to keep up his appearances.
Zero opened his mouth to speak, but Adrian spoke first, "I'm sorry!"
Hearing Adrian's apology Zero became confused and worried that something had happened to Adrian.
Not thinking about his act Zero rushed over to Adrian checking his body, or in this case soul, for anything out of place or being broken.
However, the sight that met Zero's eyes when he rushed to Adrian caused him to stop in place and stare in awe.
Having dealt with the desecrated landscape for so many years at the end of Adrian's first life, Zero couldn't help but be mystified by the restoration of his home.
Watching Zero's reaction Adrian teleported in front of Zero, punching him in the face, sending Zero's emaciated frame flying backward back onto his throne.
Adrian looked at Zero nodding, "That's one for cutting my connection to Sakura."
Cracking his knuckles Adrian once again teleported to Zero launching him into the air, saying, "That's for making me hate you, and this is just for you being an ass."
Having said that Adrian once again teleported above Zero roundhouse kicking him back to the floor.
Zero was stunned by Adrian's actions, because while he may be the weakest Adrian always ignored him with hatred instead of actively harming him.
Adrian let out a gentle smile asking, "Now that, that's over. Where is everyone?"
Zero could only gape at the disconnect between this Adrian and the Adrian he had once known, however, he still answered, "They are probably still in eternal sleep…"
"…"
"Right, umm, sorry 'bout that, but if they are gone how are both of us here?" Adrian quizzed
Zero looked down and muttered, "Our body is on…"
Adrian was confused because he couldn't hear the end of his sentence so he asked again, "What happened? Who's in control?"
Frustrated and embarrassed, Zero yelled, "NO ONE OUR BODY IS GONE!"
Enraged Adrian's veins popped across his head as he yelled back, "WHAT DID YOU DO!"
Dee stepped between the two saying, "Stop it! Deddy, Zero just pull up the memory and stop screaming!"
Scratching his head, Adrian nodded, opening the silver panel, allowing him to watch a replay of the events he had missed in this world.
Having finished the video, Adrian once again punched Zero.
"Zero get over here, and help me fix your mistakes. System open." sighed Adrian while pulling up his system panels
