Levina sighed as she checked out her dress. The pale-colored dress was stained with dust and dried sweat, and the hem was coated in dark mud. Thankfully, the cloaking spell hid Tomoe's blood that had spilled on her dress; if not, she would have had the awful dark brown color boldly emblazoned on her dress.
She sighed before she bent over the water, using her hand to scoop water to wash her face. She needed a long, hot bath, but this would have to do for now. She could feel Soren's gaze on her. He had been watching her like a hawk, she noticed. Lucien must have instructed him to keep an eye on her, she thought.
"I am hungry. Are you hungry?" she heard him ask from behind her.
"No. Not really," she threw over her shoulder. Her tummy rumbled in disagreement, but thankfully Soren wasn't close enough to hear it.
Soren groaned as he stretched out on the ground. He still felt a slight pain in his back.
