Arabelle quickly climbed out the window when she noticed that the ground wasn't that far away from her. She landed on the ground roughly as her knees scraped the ground. Her eyes squeezed shut with pain but she stood up, making a run for it immediately.
She ran towards the exit of the hospital and got out easily. She only stopped to take a breath when she was sure she was far from the hospital. She didn't want to go back home but she had no choice since she had no other place to go.
She walked the entire distance to her house not minding the fact that everywhere was eerily dark. On getting to her house, she discovered that the whole bloody scene from earlier was already cleaned up. She needed no soothsayer to tell her that it was all Mr. Diaz's doing.
The bloody red carpet had been changed back to its pure white but it still didn't hide the stench of blood that hung in the air. It somehow depicted Mr. Diaz's character. One minute he was the devil and the other, he was trying to be an angel but it couldn't hide the fact that he was a wolf in sheep's clothing.
To Arabelle, it meant nothing. It would never change her view of him and he knew that too. Especially not after he had just murdered her mother in cold blood for just wanting her freedom. To be honest, she had not known that her mother had started dating someone outside. She would have convinced her against it because she knew how ruthless Mr. Diaz was.
She guessed her mother already knew that Mr. Diaz would kill her and she did it to rile him up. Mr. Diaz was someone who was extremely possessive.
If he possessed something once before, he considered that thing his toy that had to stick to him and be with him no matter what even if he was the one who let go. To him, it was all a sick game where he had puppets and he was the puppeteer.
Grabbing some money from her purse that had been placed neatly on a chair, she stormed out of the house heading to a bar close to her house. She could obviously not sleep in that house for that night or she would definitely go crazy especially since she couldn't get the scene of her mom being shot out of her head.
Getting to the bar was just like taking a little stroll. Arabelle settled on one the chairs by the bar counter before ordering what she wanted. "I will have dry martini please." She gulped down her first shot and continued on till she was drunk. Her face flushed red showing that she was totally wasted.
Just then, she felt someone settle down next to her and she raised her head up instantly. She couldn't see the man's face properly since everywhere looked blurry to her but she could still sense his cold gaze on her. She ignored him totally and started talking to herself.
"I must make all of them pay. That monster that calls himself a man. My b**** of a step-sister I caught with my fiance last week. All of them must pay." She suddenly remembered Ryder. Mr. Diaz had forced her to get engaged to him, threatening to kill her mother if she didn't oblige.
She had gradually begun to like him since he was so kind to her and a gentleman but she didn't find out till late that his gentleman cover had all been a facade. She remembered that day so vividly like it was happening all over again.
She had gotten off work and decided to go to Ryder's place to give him a surprise since she rarely visited his house but who would have known that she was the one that was going to be surprised instead.
On getting to his house, she met him and her supposed step-sister making out like their life depended on it. She wanted to scream at them but instead she quietly left there since they didn't even notice that someone had walked in on their unholy act.
"How do you intend to make them pay?" A voice suddenly asked jerking her out of her thoughts. She gazed at the man next to her, realizing that he was the one that had spoken.
"I don't know yet. I don't have the power to crush them and I need it." She muttered, her gaze unfocused. It was at this point she wished she had the ability to kill her father with no one knowing, just like he did to her mother.
Her eyes narrowed as she stared at him. "Can you help me? I will do anything to have them at my feet and I need help to do that." All she needed at that point was the power to destroy them.
The man smirked at the fire in the woman's eyes showing her determination. "Are you sure you can do anything?" He asked coolly, his eyes showing no sign of what he could be thinking. His thin but sexy lips curled up as he stared at her face.
His fingers moved to pinch her chin slightly "Be careful of what you say. I might be the devil myself. And the devil doesn't do anything without wanting two times of what the other party would benefit." His gaze lingered on her face before he released her chin from his hold. People tended to not think of future consequences in a state of anger.
"I don't care if I have to sell my soul to the devil, become his bride or accompany him in hell. I just want revenge." Her eyes burned with fury as she uttered the last four words.
She couldn't sit still and watch Mr. Diaz enjoy his life like he hadn't brutally killed her mother and she couldn't let her fiance and step-sister enjoy the fact that they were cheating behind her back.
"I will give you time to think about it." The man replied, a sexy smirk appearing on his face and in a flash, he was walking away from her, leaving her with only his gradually disappearing back to look at.
