Chereads / Her Highness'S Remorse / Chapter 6 - The Strongest Sorcery Race

Chapter 6 - The Strongest Sorcery Race

'This is fine', thought Auyu after getting treated like a ragged doll. Well, it was part of her strategy, so she wasn't so disgrunted about it. Instead she move her thinking to the bandit leader.

While, it might be a good time to deal with the man now. She would risk exposing her magical abilities.

And it would only go downhill from there.

As any reasonable person would thought, 'why not engage the bandit leader, if you're strong?'

The crux of that result is that the bandit could flee in a physical combat, and it would be risking herself to an exposure that is unwaranted.

And she already use diversion tactic once, it won't work again. The Bandit leader probably saw the mess that is the un-bearable sight of his comrades being torn apart by wild life.

As she continued to ponder on her options, the bandit leader figure was shaking and radiates gloominess, as if a revenant have haunted him.

"What the hell is going on?!" Said the bandit leader as he watched in horror as his men getting pounced on by a bearclaw, they were hopeless to retaliate against such a feral and deadly foe, because the scythe like shaped claws is able to pierce or slash through their unimpressive hide and make a human sashimi out of them.

One of the bandit met a brutal end when he attempted to save his comrade by going up against the bear in a blade contest, when it ended in him having his gut spilled out and his head getting skewered with his eyes popped out of the eyesocket.

Simultaneously for the rest of the bandit, they were met with equally as grim fate by the bearclaws. Which such image broke the confidence of the bandit leader as he ran away using his comrades as baits. After all, there are no honor amongst thieves, even if they spend their time together. Man can only look after themselves.

The Bandit leader with resolution to finish his mission and get his hard cash. Only thought of one thing, 'what if the perpetrator was that girl?'

In this world, it isn't uncommon to be met with an unexpected turn of events. As everything is intertwined, so does the rule of nature. As the bandit leader was experience in that rule and managed to get the ranking of Beth, he noticed some of the inconsistencies. And he feared that the girl might not be human, as there are many races that looked similar to a human, but they are superior than them.

However, in this area of beginners or Zayins. There usually no person rank higher than beth, other than the mayor who is Daleth. Otherwise they have moved on to a more prosperious city as a mere town won't be enough for their ambitions.

But, he made a fatal assumption. 'that girl might not be as strong' As in this situation it would be strange if she didn't show her capabilities if she wanted to save the Heir of Voldur. With the exception of her cunning strategy. The bandit leader formed a plan to lure her out in a open fight with him. And possibly eliminate this dangerous and unknown factor that oppose him.

"Come and fight me, coward!" called out the bandit leader to Auyu as she was laying low. He knew the danger in question was simply feigning as he wouldn't make the rookie mistake of going close to check, as he was at the disadvantage.

"That's a shame, you were too smart for your own good." Responded Auyu as she got up from her messy state, as she wipe the dust off from her body.

"Hmph, if you think i'm the same as those low ranking thugs, then you would be wrong. The human ranking association already given me the rank of 'beth' if you're a smart cookie, you should know that fighting me is pointless!" threatened the bandit leader as he fiercely observed the opponent in front of him, despite her small height, he definitely recognized that the stature is too fancy for a mere nobody. Thus he made a bold guess that she's probably a runaway noble from another race.

"Oh really? How about i beat you up, right now? You know, i haven't fought in a while, you'ill make a fine dummy." replied Auyu with murderious intent as she brought out an item that made the Bandit Leader flinched.

It was a bottle of blood.

"Y-you're a vampire shit! How unlucky i am, today." cursed the bandit leader. As he knew from rumors that vampires are one of the most troublesome creatures to fight against.

As the high ranking vampires have sturdy body, enhanced organs and senses that could reach the level of an immortal, if not for their weakness of sunlight. But the worst of all, they have an affinity with blood. As they can cause destruction that even put dragons to shame. With a mere drop of blood, famine, obliteration and protection. They can do it all, they would be the dominating race if not for it's archenemy.

"Well, not like i'm gonna suck your blood. Come on, let's fucking do this already." As she wield the sword she stolen from one of the bandits.

"Fine, i'll show you the power of humanity, you damned fiend!" the bandit leader said a one-liner as if he was the hero of the story, which Auyu thought it wasn't wrong, but it wasn't right either.

As both of them collide with each other with a sword swing, and another step backward, Auyu kicked the man away. He blocked the kick with his sword, with both of them had the first confrontation, gears start running in their head. As they decided on a strategy to defeat their opponent.

'She is just a low ranking vampire, as long i don't give her a chance to use that blood or mine, i will eventually win!' thought the bandit leader as he judged her idleness as a sign of her proficiency in combat being miniscule at best, and he has the experience advantage.

'I hope the food there is as good' thought Auyu of the town that she about to visit, as she dearly missed Idun's cooking. One of the reason why she is the most beloved by Auyu (cough), she meant that it's one of the small reasons...yes.

The Bandit leader with renewed confidence gone on the offense, with him slashing at Auyu's heart. A vampire's weakspot. She wavered at the right of the bandit side and slash at her sword sideway to counter the strike.

Which staggered the bandit for a moment, before Auyu could take advantage of the momentary pause, the bandit leader acted with haste as he did an axe kick which knocked Auyu's sword away, as he regained the momentum with his sword to slash at her.

Auyu with an emotionless pokerface, tried to dodge sideway, but she was a step-behind. She was slashed at her left arm, which made her uncomfortably bleed on an open wound.

With no choice, Auyu had to mend her bleed using her right hand. Which left her vulnerable as eventually she was knocked down to the ground as everything happened in a couple strike.

"Yield to me, vampire. I might spare you just yet." demanded the bandit leader as he thought that he had already cornered her, and if she tried anything he would just ended her instantly with his sword in front of her.

Although, he had some lustful thought about the beauty in front of him, he wouldn't be content with just this. As his men was slaughtered by this devilish person.

"I won't give up, in the name of justice i will bring you down, even it cost my life!" cringed Auyu inwardly but she had no choice but to attempt to stage this, as to find an opportunity to end the bandit leader without him realizing it.

"Ahahaha! What a fool, you think repeating the Mune's battlecry would save you? Didn't you know, that they are your enemies and the strongest sorcery race? What are you gonna do next, cast a lighting spell to strike me down?" The bandit leader was taken aback but nonetheless felt humored that a vampire would be representing her enemies.

"Oh yeah? How about i try to cast the spell, like them?" grinned Auyu as she knew that someone has taken the bait.

"I dare you, if you cannot do it. I will kill you!" remarked the bandit leader as his patience is being challenged. He doesn't like when someone is acting overbearingly when they are on a verge of defeat.

"Okay then, take this! *LET IT OUT, RUMBLING THUNDER!*" chanted Auyu an incantation as her eyes begin to shine with her eye pupils becoming a clear crescent-shaped.

"What? How is that possible?!" utterly shocked the bandit, both mentally and soon. Physically as he was caught off-guard by the reality of a lightning strike coming his way.

As the bandit leader was too sluggish to dodge, he was hit with afflicted with the power of thunder. His body charted and lightning shapes formed onto his body as it became part of his veins. His eyes smoked with dark cloud. He cries and shriek. He was facing torment as it slowly claimed his life, his heart stopped beating, as he was about to fall into his final slumber, he quietly muttered.

"What a monster...You...you've tricked me."

Died the bandit leader a pointless death, as greed buried with him so does his life.

"You were just dumb enough to believe yourself." retorted Auyu with icy gaze as she had no respect for thieves in the first place. As she stood up not looking back at the opponent she had just eliminated.
