Chapter 53 - Snowflake Cafe

Maya sighed as she checked the address on her phone one last time. 

This was definitely the place. It was the same location as she remembered, but the cafe was nothing like she remembered it. 

Sure the small entryway and coffee shop were still there, but it seemed to simply stand there as a reminder of what it once was. 

Behind the small simple structure was a three-story glass cafe that gave its guests a 360-degree view of the city around it. 

"Why does it feel like life is playing one big trick on me," Maya sighed as she switched off her car's engine and slid out of the car.

She grabbed her bag and checked for the third time since arriving at the parking lot if she had all the documents as well as her laptop that contained the presentation she needed.

"I bet Ella will have marched into Xander's office demanding for an explanation on why I was allowed to go to this meeting alone," Maya said with a sigh as she spoke to herself.
