Nathaniel smiled as he watched Maya sign the document.
Of course, he had clearance from Carlton to do this, they had already discussed this deal beforehand. Nathaniel referred to it as a goodwill offering between him and the man he wished to be his grandfather-in-law someday.
"Done!" Maya slammed the pen on the table right next to the document.
Nathaniel couldn't help but chuckle, he found it quite adorable when she looked like she had won an argument with him.
"Thank you for your cooperation, Young Madam Miller," he said with an exaggerated bow as Maya grimaced at his action.
"So are we done here?" she asked Nathaniel.
"Yes, let me walk you to your car," he told her as he took the document and carefully placed it away.
"Fine," she said, giving in to his request.
They were on their way down the stairs when a familiar voice carried across the entrance of the cafe towards where they stood.
