Anna was still there watching her mother sleep until her eyes flickered open. "Ohh mamma. You are awake!...Doctor" immediately Anna went to look for a doctor and he came to attend to her. " okay you can start with the discharge process,she is better all she has to do is take the medications that has been prescribed to her and make sure she engages in lots of exercises" "Ohh thank you very much doctor" "No problem...this is another advice. Since you are now pregnant infact with twins. Please take lots of rest okay" with that the doctor left. "Mom, how are you feeling now.....mom I am sorry. I didn't kn-" "Don't worry. I am sorry for slapping you, I was just too shocked, we will pull through this together okay. Don't stress yourself too much afterall.....you are carrying my grand children" Anna's mom said interrupting Anna "Really....you are not angry anymore?" Anna asked surprised "I am still very angry with your carelessness but I can't be angry for ever. Now take me home. I am really tired and I need rest"
Anna called her brother and told him what happened. Of course Tyler was worried so he rushed to the hospital and he was told that she was okay and didn't need to worry. He took his sister and Mother home obviously still trying to digest the fact that Annabelle was pregnant not with one but with twins. Anna resumed work shortly after and did her best to avoid Jones....who would want to date someone that is already pregnant for another man, she thought. "How are my babies doing?" Nancy asked smiling "Nancy, stop making it a big deal. I am still so mad at myself, I don't even know how I am going to go to school" "Don't beat yourself up for nothing. It is not your fault. It is Drey's, how I wish I could snap his head off....so heartless" Nancy said with disgust all over her face, then she picked a call that came through one of the telephone land lines that was on their desk "Hello, Bervely Hotels. Nancy speaking,what can I do for you?" "Is Annabelle there with you?" Drey spoke "Speak of the Devil himself.. what do you want?" Nancy said having Anna shocked at who she was talking to like that "I- i heard she is pregnant, so I just wanted to check and see how she is doing, please can you give her the phone" "You have some nerve Drey. After all you have done, it is now you want to see how she is doing. How did you even know that.....it better not be Tyler's doing cuz I am going to kill him" Now Anna knew why Nancy spoke like that. It is because it was Drey she was speaking to. She quickly collected the phone from Nancy before she would say anything out of line "Drey...please I don't want to talk to you...you made it very clear five months ago that I should stay away from you!!!.... and now you are calling me...." Anna said nothing more and cut the call. Anna was busy trying to clear her desk when the man she had been trying so hard to avoid came to her. Nope not Drey but Jones. She was avoiding him because she was ashamed of being pregnant without a husband and it would have been weird if he found out. He might be disgusted by her, so she avoided him. "Will you keep on avoiding me?" He said almost helpless "I-I am not avoiding you. I am just trying to get my work done" she lied "So I am a distraction?" "Well yes..." this was no lie, she was always thinking about him. She had started developing feelings for him but she hated herself for being pregnant for someone else when she clearly wanted to be with him and she didn't want to force her pregnancy on him. "How are you feeling...since you are better,then I want to take you out again...so we can have a better date" he said "I'm sorry but no, I can't. I still have work to do" "I am sure it can wait. Besides it is an order from your boss" she was speechless when she heard him say that. This man...he really had his ways of getting whatever he wanted. "But...there is something you should know" she said fidgeting with her fingers now more ashamed than ever "Then we will talk about it over dinner. This time we are going to a restaurant and I would like to see you in a nice gown" "Ohh.. so I have to go home to change?" She immediately regretted saying that. Of course dummy you have to go home, where else would you go to change!!, she said to her inner self. "There will be no need for that, we will leave early to one of the clothing stores to get you one" Ohh wow...he really had everything planned didn't he. "Bu-" as if he knew exactly what she was about to say,he cut her off and said "Don't worry the bill's are covered, you wouldn't pay for the dress" on hearing this Anna chuckled feeling shy all over again. Now he saw the pretty smile on her face again making him smile as well. They headed to the store he spoke of earlier. Anna expected something average but this was no ordinary store. It was extravagant and beautiful. Chic clothes were arranged all over, someone like her couldn't afford something that expensive. No this was beyond expensive. A lady with red hair, fairly tall with a smile on her lips came forward. "Ohh.. Mr Jones welome, this way" she guided them to a large white sofa. "Valerie. I see business is moving... I need nice clothes for her" "Of course, miss please come with me" she said still holding that sweet smile. Anna followed her to what she assumed to be the changing room. "I'll be right back" she said and left. Just 2 minutes after, she came back with a rack of clothes. "Anything you would like in particular" she asked "Uhhmm...something not to blingy...if that makes sense. I want something subtle" Anna said with a small smile "okay how about this" she said showing Anna a pink long handless gown that had a low back zip. Did this woman understand the meaning of subtle. First of all,the colour was too flashy and way too revealing. "No please, something less flashy" After almost 10 minutes of rejecting everything the lady offered ,she concluded on a long black body hug v- neck gown. The store clearly didn't have anything fully covered. The woman called valerie also brought a pair of silver hills and a purse to go with it. "Thank you" Anna said smiling. She wore the shoe and packed her hair in a low sleek bun and left two strands hanging. Thank God she always had a lip gloss and lipstick in her bag just in case of an emergency and that was clearly an emergency. She put on the red lipstick and smiled. The smile was already wiped off when she saw that her baby bump was already visible. She was starting to feel insecure. She was pulled from her trance when the lady said "Miss... Mr. Jones is waiting for you" Then Anna realized how much time she had wasted and went to where Jones was sitting.
