Chapter 28 - Lengthy Sermon.

All night, Alfred had been unable to sleep thinking Stella had said something about her impromptu dismissal from the vineyard to Arnold. He knew how short-tempered Arnold was and how extreme he could go with his punishment. Hence, he had been restless all morning until he spoke to Stella.

Listening to Stella confirm that she had somehow managed to keep the dismissal issue a secret, filled him with so much joy and happiness.

"Thank you very much, Stella! Thank you for being an angel." Alfred hugged her briefly. "I don't know where my fate would have been if Mr Arnold found out that I fired you after asking me to draft your new job description. That grandson of his is a bag of trouble. I would have lost my job if not for your kindness. You are indeed an angel."

"Thank you, Sir," Stella beamed. "You've been a great mentor to me and I will always stand up for you anytime and anyplace."
