"You're right, of course, you are, but I followed Charles. Lately, he's been acting oddly, not the fitting Charles that we all know. Completely out of character, even for him," Dante spoke with a quiet assurance, as he knew he had found his reward, and it would be grand and beyond all the imagination of the vampires.

"I won't come quietly, Dante. Don't even think for one second that you can take me out of here without me screaming and fighting you every step of the way," I threatened as I moved to the other side of the bed where there was more space.

He was the second biggest threat other than Hervidor and one of the most devoted followers. I knew if he were to get any closer to me, there was no way I would leave the room without a fight. And if I had to, I would transform to gain the extra strength that I needed to fight and defeat him.
