"Ouch!" I said; as I jumped simultaneously, the needle entered my arm.
"You know, for a woman that can change into a Gulon without feeling pain, the sight of the needle nearly had you on the floor, and the commotion when it entered your skin was enough for anyone to hear," he teased.
"How would you like it if someone wanted to use you as an experiment?" I muttered.
"I'm doing it for your good. We don't know what your Gulon form has done to your DNA, and it could have harmed you seriously. Once I find something, I will let you know, and we can see if we can fix it," he explained as he placed my vile of blood in the fridge.
"I hope nothing unusual is happening to my insides; it would really make everything more peculiar than it already is," I commented as I finished the last of my food and handed the glass back to Charles.
