A hint of a smile played upon her lips, as she said. "I'm Lysandra by the way and I loved what you did out there".
"Oh! That was nothing, I was just playing my role, Someone had to help," Jacob added. "I'm Jacob, it's nice to meet you."
"Same here," she responded.
A few minutes into their journey, they both became quite close and engaged in discussions
Amidst their fervent discussion, their words woven like delicate threads of enchantment, the bus pulled to a gentle halt before the towering gates of their destination—the revered school that stood as a sanctuary for knowledge and the nurturing of their abilities.
As the doors of the bus creaked open, the whispers of anticipation danced in the air, mingling with the excited hum of students streaming from within.
With a shared glance, their hearts beating in tandem, they descended the bus steps.
All the students, their hearts brimming with anticipation and curiosity, fell into step behind the two sergeants as they strode purposefully through the towering iron gates of the prestigious academy.
As they ventured deeper into the school's grounds, a kaleidoscope of sights and sounds enveloped the students. The sprawling campus sprawled out before them, revealing a myriad of buildings adorned with ivy-clad walls, stained glass windows, and towering spires that seemed to reach for the heavens themselves.
Laughter and chatter echoed through the corridors, accompanied by the occasional burst of magical energy that crackled in the distance. Whispers of spells and incantations tickled the ears of the newcomers.
"By your left, you will find the school library, " Sergeant Lucas announced as they walked by a big door.
The students marveled at the wondrous library, its shelves towering high and laden with dusty tomes, their spines adorned with mysterious symbols.
Passing by the training grounds, the students caught glimpses of athletic youths honing their combat skills. Swords gleamed under the watchful eyes of instructors, and arcs of elemental energy sparked forth.
They all followed the sergeant until they got to an open field in the center of the school.
We will begin testing you to know your ability, how strong you are, and to know what class to place you. Do not move until you are called forward, understand?!" Lucas shouted with a smile on his face and everyone just nodded. The Sergeant looked frightening with the smile. It was completely contradicting his hard face. "Good luck!"
Sergeant Lucas was currently standing in front of the students, calling out names in groups of five.
These students would now be transported somewhere to take the test. Jacob was lost in thought, hopefully thinking that this school would be different from his previous one.
Just then, the resounding voice of the sergeant pierced through the bustling air, reverberating with authority. "Jacob, Amelia, Ethan, Olivia, and Caleb!"
Heads turned and eyes widened as the five of them emerged from the sea of aspiring students, their hearts pounding with a mix of trepidation and anticipation.
As they stepped forward, Jacob exchanged quick glances with his newfound comrades, a mixture of curiosity and camaraderie flickering in their eyes.
As they approached the front, the crowd gradually parted, creating a path of reverence and awe.
Finally, they reached the designated space, standing side by side before a towering platform adorned with the emblem of their esteemed academy. Awaiting the sergeant's next command, the five students stood tall, anticipation radiating from their every pore.
The Sergeant requested for the transportation to begin, two men both putting on black hoods stepped forward.
the two men clasped their right hands tightly, their fingers intertwining like the roots of an ancient tree. The air around them seemed to shimmer with anticipation as they raised their left arms in unison, palms outstretched toward the ethereal expanse before them.
As their combined focus intensified, the purple light began to coalesce, taking form within the space between their outstretched arms. It pulsed and rippled, as if alive with its own mysterious energy.
With a surge of will and determination, the two figures focused their thoughts, channeling their inner strength into the growing vortex of brilliance. Sparks of energy began to surge from their fingertips, and a hole appeared from the purple light.
"Portalmancer ability? That is a very rare ability, " Jacob murmured.
"You can go through the portal, but remember to hold on tight to each oother'shands or you might get stuck in external darkness," Sergeant Lucas said putting fear in the sstudent'sbody.
Just as the students were about to go through the portal, another Sergeant came and whispered something into Lucas's ear.
"Wait!! Jacob fall back, you will not be joining them to the testing field, follow sergeant cane here and he will show you to your room."
Jacob did as he was told, he followed the Sergeant to his room.
It was a big room containing three single beds, each spreading out evenly, but other than that the room was pretty empty.
There was just a single desk and a cupboard for each person to use by the side of their bed.
-"Ok! This is your room, your other roommates will join you once they are done with their test, in the meantime you can rest or explore the school as you have do classes today."
"Excuse me, sir, if I may ask why was I told to fall back from the test," Jacob asked.
-"I'm sorry but I'm not in the position to tell you that, don't worry you will find out soon, " the sergeant responded as he left Jacob in the room.
Jacob thought why only he was told to fall back from the training. Even though he should be happy about this he was a bit still worried. Just then, he remembered about the system.
'I should unpack quickly so I find out what to do with this system before my roommates come' he thought.
Jacob began unpacking his things, placing each item where it is supposed to be.
After he was done unpacking, he sat down on the edge of his bed and called out the system interface.
