Chapter 2 - First Mission

Heizenburg woke to the rain pounding against the roof of his tent, as he sat up thunder rumbled in the distance. His muscles ached from the traveling, for over the last few weeks Heizenburg and his group had traveled to reach the city of Hoar.

After years of training he was finally out in the battlefield, this thought bought a smile to his face. Heizenburg grabbed his gear and walked out of the tent, the heavy rain beat against his uniform but he didn't mind.

The campsite had began to flood, weather had been horrible recently. Heizenburg walked up to one of the tents, he could hear snoring coming from inside. annoyed, Heizenburg yelled.

"WAKE UP YOU STUPID B*TCH"

A grunt was heard before someone left the tent, he looked about in his mid thirties. Black hair and beard with blue eyes, the most eye catching thing about this man though was the scar along his neck. As if someone tried to slit his throat.

"Say that again Heizenburg" he threatened "I dare you"

Heizenburg shook his head, chuckling to himself he yelled again

"WAKE UP SICARIUS"

Sicarius stared at Heizenburg, deciding whether to kill him or just ignore him. He decided on the latter and walked off, Heizenburg smiled then went back to pack up his tent.

While Heizenburg packed up his tent he heard his other squad mate wake up. He turned to see Taniwha yawning, Taniwha was a skinny guy, around twenty in age. Taniwha circled the camp once before beginning to pack up as well.

"What took you so long to wake up?" Sicarius asked.

Taniwha stared at Sicarius, annoyance showed over his face before he finally replied.

"Why do you snore so loud?"

Heizenburg sighed before walking off with his gear, he had always hated those two. One being only two years older than him but still not as mature, while his captain was incompetent.

Taniwha and Sicarius eventually caught up to Heizenburg, as they traveled the weather finally began to clear. The rain stopped and the wind slowed, the sun finally peaked through the clouds.

The older two continued to argue, both going back and forth. Heizenburg lost track of the time as they walked, all he knew was that it was around dusk when they arrived at the city.

As the group walked through the gate in the darkness of an alleyway stood a figure, unaware of this figure it watched the group as they continued walking down the street. As the group left its sights it too disappeared.
