A new me? What a joke, this was a total and complete transformation, I could barely recognize the guy staring back at me in the mirror. Black skin that was paler than normal, it should not be possible for a black person to have that sort of pallor on their skin, I looked like a fucking corpse. Of course it was not that bad, but if you looked closer you could see that something was wrong.
My hair was still the same, all over the place, I have been contemplating cutting it. My dreadlocks was an image that was synonymous with my family. But all my family was gone, well not all of them, and the locks were a lot heavier than they looked, or they used to be. Now all of it was pure white, down to the root with a pair of piercing red eyes staring right back at me.
I couldn't help but grimace, I looked like all those street kids with the need to tattoo their eyes and bodies and pierce and augment with cybernetic implants, you could say I now had the look to fit in perfectly with any gang.
But beyond that was my body, how in the hell have I grown muscles overnight? I wasn't bulky and still had my lean frame, but I could count the packs, all eight of them…..score one for genetics. Usually people are only born with six, but some genes let others have eight. But that did not matter, I opened my mouth next, shocked by how white my teeth were, and the sharpened incisors. They were longer last night but right now they-
*Snick!*
"Whoa!"
The fangs shot down letting my gums feel a tiny pinprick in the process. I looked like a monster, but not just any monster, I looked like a monster that was familiar so many books, movies, and many other form of media had been made about them. But they were extinct, hunted down and killed thousands of years ago and any cards capable of birthing them eradicated.
But of course it has been a long time and there have been several wars, so knowledge of which cards exactly are required to activate the vampirism curse has been lost.
Standing here looking at myself like this would not give me the answers I needed. So perhaps it was time to take a look at the notifications that I've been ignoring all this while, I finally have my system unlocked and I had a few cards with me now that can be the foundation for the decks that I would need to survive being a member of the Silver Wyatt Gang.

I stumbled back, total and absolute shock all over my face as I stared at the list of curses sent my way from just having access to this ancient deck, but even worse was the first notification, the one I had not seen when I was on the train but was seeing now...I died. That pretty much explains the paleness.
And maybe not anything else, the dying part pretty much explains the vampirism. But the system wrote it as Vampyre rather than vampire as it's popularly known. Suffice to say, my life was over.
I think in a ways I'm lucky that I was able to get into the apartment before the sun rose, it definitely would not have been a nice experience, the system doesn't lie.
A Vampyre…..if people find out then I'm dead before I can even so much as blink. There were other races on our world, and a racial change mostly came as a result of certain cards combining, giving rise to a synergy that would only work if the base race is changed to something else.
However it was a well spread agreement between governments that other races should be heavily regulated. Some races, like the Vampyre race can turn others by infecting their cards and changing them entirely into something else, something that would be more suitable for a Vampyre to have.
Vampyres, lycanthropes, Demons, and some other races capable of conversion are called Admin races. Capable of implementing system authority and causing change to a person's status. And without fail the law about them was simple….. should one be found only one thing had to be done...eradication.
"Gods what have I done?"
I asked myself as my reflection stared right back at me, what could I possibly do now, how could I keep this a secret. It might have been a few thousand years since they've seen a Vampyre on this world, but the other Admin races have been popping up every now and then, and they're always hunted down with extreme prejudice, sooner or later, someone will find out, and then I'll be fucked and Mama will die without me.

Cards can never be used individually, they would all have to be a part of the deck with the least amount of cards in a deck being 6. The Vampyre Deck was not complete, in order words perhaps there were still cards that I can add that would reduce the power of the curses on me.
Never the less, just having the [Vampyre] deck would be a problem for me, if there was someone who could read cards or recognize the Abilities from the cards they could find out about me, I needed something else.
At the F and E rank you can only have one deck active, after that from the D and C rank you can have two decks active, pulling skills and abilities from them as long as you had the resource to support it. B and A gave you access to three decks at once….. it's from my status that I'm seeing the S+ rank for the first time, though I've heard about it before, but it was only just a rumor.
A person can only ever have three decks in their entire life, but from the look of things, perhaps I would have the chance to have an extra deck. But needing a second deck to hide the Vampyre deck was important, and luckily enough I had a massive harvest of cards from the train, including two legendries. It was time to take a look at them.
