Chapter 41 - Fire Magic [Bonus Chapter]

(A/N: Device has been changed to stone)

It's been three days since I made the communication stone and Lita has been recklessly using it.

First, when I showed it to Mrs Pumpury, She was surprised. It was my first time seeing her surprise. I guess I made something amazing.

For the past three days, I have been upgrading it as I was not satisfied with the result.

The stone only had a range of hundred metres so I had to change the stone and use a unique stone.

Sigh! They are very expensive.

But I got the result that I wanted. Previously the stones were functionally different. They just sent the message through mana but the new ones are different they used a ray of string to connect to the other stone.

But the newer ones' problem is mana. They can only hold up to ten seconds of voice. It can be solved by constantly infusing mana into it.

It's a problem for normal people. Sigh! Let's leave it for later.

Oh! Yeah, I forgot to tell that my proficiency increases every time I make something.

Anyways, I am currently at the mountain. It's early in the morning.

And why am I here? To practice fire magic.

I didn't aspect that I would gain over 10000 golds in just a week.

I only had the money to buy one book so I decided to buy the 'All you need to know about fire magic book'

It cost me around 1200 TP (12000 gold coins)

And unlike the book that I previously bought from the system, this one wasn't absorbed into my mind.

I guess that's the VIP privilege for you.

Anyways, let's start reading

[Third Person POV]

As Charles delved into the pages of the "All you need to know about fire magic" book, he absorbed the knowledge about the essence of fire and the importance of mana in harnessing its power. The book emphasized that one's proficiency in fire magic was closely tied to their mana control and manipulation.

Inspired by the newfound knowledge, Charles decided to put theory into practice. He closed the book, focused his mind, and extended his hand, envisioning flames dancing at his fingertips. As he channelled his mana, a golden glow enveloped his hand, and soon a vibrant golden flame flickered to life.

Charles was taken aback by the transformation. The golden fire seemed to radiate with a unique warmth and intensity. Excited by this development, he experimented further, trying to manipulate the fire's shape and intensity with his thoughts.

With each attempt, Charles discovered that his newfound understanding of fire magic allowed him greater control over the golden flames. He could shape them into intricate patterns, control their temperature, and even make them dance in the air. It was a mesmerizing sight to behold.

As Charles continued practising, he noticed that his mana control had improved significantly. The golden fire consumed less mana while maintaining its brilliance, allowing him to sustain the flames for longer durations. This development pleased him greatly, as it meant he could extend his magical abilities without exhausting his mana reserves too quickly.

Feeling a renewed sense of determination, Charles decided to further explore the depths of fire magic.

He returned to the book, studying advanced techniques and spells, eager to expand his repertoire of fiery skills.

After an hour and so, he made a golden fireball. Even though his fire element was the highest, it was still difficult for him to control the golden flames.

He was finally able to compress the size of the fireball. He then launched it at the trees in front of him.

Boom-

As soon as the fireball touched the tree, it exploded making a ten-meter-wide hole on the ground.

Charles stood in awe as the golden fireball collided with the tree, unleashing a powerful explosion that reverberated through the air.

The force of the blast created a sizable hole in the ground, scattering debris and leaves in its wake.

It was a testament to the destructive potential of fire magic when harnessed and controlled effectively.

As the smoke cleared, Charles approached the charred remains of the tree, examining the aftermath of his spell.

The power he had just witnessed filled him with a mix of exhilaration and caution.

And the reason behind the big explosion was because he had compressed the golden flame a too much.

Realizing the potential danger of his compressed fireball, Charles understood the importance of finding the right balance between power and control.

While the explosion had been impressive, it had also been uncontrollable and potentially hazardous.

Learning from this experience, Charles decided to adjust his approach. He needed to focus not only on the raw power of fire magic but also on its finesse and precision.

Returning to the "All you need to know about fire magic" book, he sought guidance on achieving control over his fiery abilities.

As he delved into the chapters, Charles discovered a section that emphasized the importance of understanding the nature of fire and its behavior.

It highlighted the significance of manipulating not only the intensity of the flames but also their size, shape, and movement.

Taking the book's advice to heart, Charles decided to experiment with controlling the flames on a smaller scale.

Instead of attempting to compress a fireball to its limits, he focused on maintaining a controlled and steady flame in the palm of his hand.

With a calm and steady mind, he conjured a smaller fire and concentrated on keeping it balanced and contained.

As he practiced, he discovered that by visualizing a sphere of golden flames and maintaining a steady stream of mana, he could sustain a controlled fire for a longer duration.

With this newfound approach, Charles gradually increased the complexity of his fire manipulation. He shaped the flames into intricate patterns, creating mesmerizing displays of light and heat.

He practiced sculpting the fire, molding it into delicate tendrils and ethereal shapes, showcasing not only the destructive power but also the beauty and artistry inherent in fire magic.
