Chapter 29 - Beating Seniors

Thud.

"What's going on here?" The two seniors were back with angry expressions as they looked at the food placed in front of Mekhel.

"We were gone for a minute and you're already eating with a friend of yours?"

"Did you lie about that money being the last you had in you?"

They didn't leave Seth out of the questioning.

"Who the hell are you and why are you with him?"

"I'm Seth and I'm here to make him a friend." He replied. If he immediately gave out his family name, these students might back off because of a certain lady in the institute but he wouldn't do that.

When they saw both trays contained the same food, they understood Seth had bought them both. "You think buying someone a plate of food is enough to make a friend? How stupid can you be!?" Their voice already drawing the attention of surrounding students.

"If you weren't stupid, you'd notice I got the food for a reason. Besides, no one said I got it to make friends with him. You two took his last money and I couldn't see him go hungry." Seth's answer wasn't polite and the latter half made their faces contort.

Their secret had somehow been exposed but they wouldn't allow it to happen. "What the hell!? Why would you slander others?"

They turned to Mekhel with anger on their faces. "You! You told him all this right?"

"Sorry, but he didn't. I have quite sharp ears so I overheard your conversation with him." Seth replied, not giving the already shaking Mekhel a chance to speak.

"That's bull…"

"Come on… a few days of hunger wouldn't kill you. You'll get your new allowance before you die." Seth said, mimicking something he had heard a few minutes ago.

Seeing this, the senior with a scar knew they had been caught. He had said those exact words in the same tone to Mekhel.

"You said those words to him a few minutes ago, right? Extortion isn't against the rules but that doesn't mean it's okay to do so." Seth said with a face void of any emotion.

"You! Who do you think you're speaking to?" The scarred boy asked with a shout.

"A student from Year Two or Three. I don't know nor do I care. That makes it more irritating. Extorting your juniors. How low you fell." Seth said with a condescending voice that seemed to want to berate them even more.

They grew even angrier. They were from Year Two but this new student didn't really care. Even if they were Year Three students, this student would still act the same way. That much was obvious.

While their battle of words was ongoing, a student sneaked out from the crowd in the cafeteria. His aim was a certain building five minutes away.

As fast as he could, he sprinted to call forth a certain student. One of high importance and relationship with the new student. He was on his way to call Raela.

Seth wasn't aware but he was getting hyped up.

Before entering the institute, he had planned to remain low-key but it seemed like trouble always came for him and now, he was loving it.

"I'll have to teach you a lesson." The boy with black spiky hair couldn't take it any longer.

"Let's head out. It's forbidden to fight in a cafeteria. I know a nice place to fight." Seth suggested. He was all in for a fight at this moment.

"Mekhel, finish the food before you leave here. I don't tolerate remnants. I'll be back to finish mine too." Seth said, pointing a finger at Mekhel who only nodded.

He turned to the students who were waiting to teach him a lesson. "Now let's head out."

Seth walked past the two of them and headed outside of the cafeteria. The two couldn't waste any more time as they wanted to beat the crap out of this proud student currently walking in front of them.

"I should probably do it." The spiky-haired one said to the other with a scar.

He continued. "I'll be a better fit since I'm better at controlling my anger. You'd probably ruin him if you faced him."

"Fine by me. Just make sure to humiliate him. I don't care what family he comes from." The scarred boy responded.

Their words were whispers between both of them but someone else was listening.

"It doesn't matter who I fight though. Anger issues or not also do not matter to me. In fact, both of you should face me." Seth interrupted their conversation.

Their anger, which was already dying down flared up again. "We should just ruin him!" The spiky-haired senior said with a change of mind.

"Huff.. huff… huff…" The student who ran off to call Raela finally arrived at his destination, panting heavily.

After gaining control of his breathing once more, he walked into the huge room in front of him. "Milady, your brother is about to fight with two of his seniors."

Raela was sitting at the far end of a square-shaped table, her eyes moving around the book in her hand. The moment she heard his words, she was already up. Even though she was still processing what he said, she knew it had to do with Seth.

Swooosh.

With her hair and uniform swaying like they were in sync, she arrived in front of the student who came with the report. "Dalthyn, where is he? Where is my brother?" She asked with her hands firmly holding onto his shoulder and shaking him.

This boy called Dalthyn began stammering while being shaken. "Th… the cafeteria clo… close to th.. the library."

The next moment, she was gone. After getting her destination, she simply dashed away. Not under her watch would anyone hurt her most precious item. If she arrived and Seth was in trouble, she wouldn't mind joining in.

Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

As she got closer to the cafeteria, she noticed a place with lots of people. They all seemed to be watching something.

She had been told Seth was about to get into a fight in the cafeteria. Since fights were prohibited from happening in the cafeteria, she was almost certain the situation in front of her concerned Seth so she changed direction.

Bang!

Bang!!

Boom!

Raela heard mini explosions as she made her way to the place she undoubtedly believed her brother would be.

When she arrived, she quickly dug through the crowd.

Raela pushed a lady away, her hand landing on her bosom though it was a mistake. "Who's the bastard touching me!? Ah, so… sorry. Please make your way forward." Her words changed when she noticed who had touched her.

Raela smiled at the lady before moving forward.

She quickly arrived at the front of the crowd the instant they became aware of her presence.

"What the hell happened here!?"
